About the role:

The Specialist Housing Advocate will work within a dynamic, fast paced team to provide intervention, advocacy and support that empowers women and ensures that the voice of survivors informs every stage of their journey towards improved safety. This is a new and exciting service, and we are looking for someone passionate about ensuring that all survivors of domestic abuse are able to access safe and appropriate accommodation which meets their needs.

To be successful as Specialist Housing Advocate you will need the below experience and skills:

You will have an excellent understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on survivors and their children, and of best practice within the domestic abuse and housing sectors. You will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. The post holder will hold a caseload of survivors and will also be required to support Advance’s duty team on a rota basis which will involve completing intake assessments and providing crisis intervention support.

Campaign Planning & Data Selections Officer

Contract type: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract. Full Time, 35 hours per week

Location: London, UK subject to the right to work.

About the Role

As our data savvy Data Selections Officer, you will update and write SQL scripts to enable WaterAid UKs fundraising mass communications, and champion our supporter’s experience ensuring supporters receive communications that are relevant to them. 

In this role you will collaborate with stakeholders across Fundraising, interpreting their data requests into SQL scripts, and work closely with the Data Engineering team to update our data warehouse as the organisations data requirements evolve. 

You’ll also: 

• Review current SQL scripts and optimise them
• Work with teams on setting up, and updating our supporter journeys
• Advise stakeholders on using data effectively, creating variable outputs or segmentation for testing
• Work closely with the Analytics team, implementing their findings and collaborating on propensity models
• Champion data quality, and work with relevant teams to constantly improve the data in the data warehouse.

Requirements

The successful applicant will have a keen eye for detail and be able to interpret natural language data requests into complex SQL queries.

To be successful, you’ll need: 

• Experience of writing SQL syntax, including the creation of views, stored procedures and processes.
• Good knowledge of data protection legislation and its application.

Although not essential, we also prefer you to have:

• Experience working in a Fundraising or charity environment.

The Recruitment team is responsible for sourcing, selecting and hiring for 500 places for Approach Social Work (previously known as the Frontline programme) in local authorities across England.

You will be joining us at our busiest time, and will have day to day logistical and administration responsibilities with focus on supporting applicants through the selection stages of our programme, Approach Social Work.

You will work with the Selection team and share responsibilities between other Selection Coordinators to ensure the delivery of a highly effective and efficient recruitment process and to ensure the candidate experience is positive throughout. The Junior Salesforce Administrator role supports the effective use and ongoing development of the Churchill Fellowship’s Salesforce CRM platform and related applications. About the role

We are looking for a self-driven, highly motivated team player to join our HR department. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this postholder will work closely with the two HR People Partners. • To lead and manage employee relations activity across the charity by working closely with the key stakeholders.
• To provide guidance and advise senior managers in line with MSSC policies, employment legislation and ACAS Code of Practice regarding complex HR situations.
• To lead and take notes at all MSSC disciplinaries, grievances and formal complaints to support the process. These could include conduct, performance management/capability, absence management. grievances, bullying and harassment, discrimination, whistleblowing etc. 
• Ensure appropriate documentation of cases including file notes, correspondence, accurate meeting minutes etc, ensuring their employee file is kept up to date and organised.
• To provide support to the HR People Partners on broader ER issues, if necessary, such as absence management/OH referrals, performance management/PIPs.
• To support and assist the Director of HR and the team on a range of HR projects and initiatives.
• To develop, review and implement HR policies, procedures and guidance documents, ensuring legal compliance and best practice.
• Manage the appraisal process including launch communications, monitoring completions and reviewing forms for any ER issues and logging training needs.

Whilst the full pay band and salary range is advertised, our approach to starting salaries is to appoint between the minimum to mid-point of the pay band – this ensures that pay steps are available to reward our colleagues annually based on their contribution to excellence and alignment to our values and behaviours.  More details on Barnardo's pay framework can be found upon application.

We’re a community charity in Merton offering practical help and support. Wimbledon Guild is going from strength to strength, and we’re looking forward to appointing a new Counsellor for the Refugee and Asylum Seekers Service to work part-time in our Talking Therapies team.

Our Talking Therapies are well known and highly regarded in the local community, and we are a BACP Accredited Service. 

As our Counsellor (Refugee and Asylum Seekers Service), which is a post currently funded for 4 years, you will be responsible for a client load of 12 clients, offering up to 16 sessions. You will need to be responsible for all aspects of the work, including administrative procedures, following our police and protocols, including liaising with mental health services and onward referral where necessary.

You will be working as part of a well-established team of colleagues, within the department and organisation. The service predominantly works within a psychodynamic framework; therefore, a working knowledge of psychodynamic thinking is crucial for all those applying for this role including the ability to work with the unconscious and counter transference process that come up for yourself and in the work.
