About the role
Your key purpose will be to support the Individual Giving Manager in the provision of excellence in supporter care for individuals supporting all fundraising activities and projects related to Shooting Star Children’s Hospices Individual Giving programme, Gifts in Memory fundraising and ensuring Shooting Star Children’s Hospices families who choose to fundraise are effectively supported in their activity. This role will support the charities appeal fundraising programme, working with the Head of Supporter Engagement and Individual Giving Manager on supporter stewardship.
The Supporter Care Co-ordinator will also provide efficient and effective key administrative support to the wider fundraising team, optimising income generation proactivity cross-team.

Position: PR Manager
Location: Remote/flexible (must be able to work in Warwick and London offices occasionally)
Salary: £41,000 - 46,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: Full Time (35 hours per week)

The Role
The PR Manager plays a central role, working closely with the Head of Media to manage the public relations function of the charity. You will be responsible for helping to develop and execute prominent and high impact national and regional media campaigns, to help people better understand the mission and take action to support it.
Your main duties and responsibilities include:
· Generate regular, positive, proactive media coverage
· Proactively sell stories into the media as well as react to incoming enquiries
· Work with the Head of Media to develop impactful press strategies in line with the wider PR strategy
· Take a proactive approach to gathering NHS staff, member and supporter case studies
· Identify and develop high quality media pitches, spotting slots and opportunities and piggybacking on the news agenda where appropriate
· Build positive working relationships with target journalists
· Monitor and evaluate media coverage and PR activity, sharing coverage with key internal and external stakeholders
· Develop and maintain a good working knowledge of the issues affecting the NHS, and the wider political environment support liaison with NHS England, DHSC and other bodies to build relationships and ensure alignment of messages
The role is a hybrid of office and home working, requiring occasional meetings at the Warwick office. The team also meets in London but this is flexible, depending on the location of the successful candidate.
About You
You will have experience working in public relations. You will have experience of leading successful PR media relations strategies, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. You should be creative and passionate about delivering impactful work, with a proven ability to be highly organised and manage your own workload.
You will also have:
· Experience in developing and implementing media strategies for a high-profile organisation.
· Demonstrable evidence of successfully pitching to and building relationships with national, regional and sector journalists.
· A strong track record in reactive media management for an organisation in the public eye.
· Excellent time management skills and an ability to consistently meet deadlines.
· Excellent political awareness
· A strong track record in writing impactful content for different channels.
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsible for winning new business and retaining existing contracts to achieve financial and growth targets, this is a pivotal role at Kinship. Last year we saw a 133% growth in the numbers of young people facing homelessness coming through our doors. Now, nearly half of them are - or recently have been - sleeping rough and with the numbers of young rough sleepers in the capital growing at an alarming rate, New Horizon Youth Centre has had to take decisive action to unlock support and housing for this group. The Head of Services - Rough Sleeping is a brand-new role for the organisation and will lead on developing a new internal strategy for young people facing rough sleeping, as well as holding operational oversight of our established youth-specific street outreach function and emergency accommodation hub, both of which are unique in London. You will need to be strategic in approach and an excellent relationship builder. You will act as our lead colleague on relationships with the Greater London Authority and London Councils’ rough sleeping teams, working with them to ensure our learning and insights inform policy and ultimately open up access to emergency support for those under 25. Alongside this you will need a keen eye for operational detail, have experience of delivering homelessness services, and be passionate about piloting new solutions to prevent homelessness among young people. More than anything you will need to champion what young people can achieve, be committed to collaborating with others and determined to find a way.
