As the Head of Engagement and Communications, you’ll support the Executive Director in leading AMOSSHE as a senior leader. You’ll also act as the Deputy Director, contributing to operational management, strategic development and stepping in for the Executive Director as needed. As well, you’ll be responsible for shaping and delivering impactful communications strategies that drive member engagement, promote AMOSSHE’s events and initiatives, and elevate the organisation’s profile.

This role is offered on a permanent full-time basis paying a salary between £75,000 to £80,000 per annum with flexible hybrid working arrangements at their London or York office with regular UK business travel and occasional overnight stays.
Reporting directly to the CEO and managing a 5 people-strong team, the Head of Fundraising will lead their major donor, corporate and trust fundraising strategies, focusing on developing long-term, high-impact partnerships to maximise their income and financial sustainability. The role is to drive new donor engagement and secure sustainable, multi-year funding building on their success, whilst accelerating progress to ensure they have the resources and partners to achieve their vision of a world-leading STEM education for every young person across the UK. What’s your mission?
In this role you will embody Ada’s culture, being responsible for the wellbeing of the staff and attracting new talent as well as providing effective leadership and line management of the People function. Reporting directly into the CEO, you will act as a trusted, strategic partner, ensuring alignment on both organisation and people capabilities, fostering a culture of high performance and growth. ● Systems & Processes -
○ Provide support on change management programmes including restructures, ensuring change processes are implemented smoothly and risks are identified and mitigated in a timely manner.
○ Drive adoption of the recently implemented HR platform (i.e. AccessHR). Ensure all staff adhere to the agreed processes including performance management.
Plans are to effectively link performance management to reward and recognition.
○ Proactively review existing processes and identify areas to introduce efficiencies.
● Diversity & Inclusion - Partner with the Executive Leadership Team, and lead on the implementation of the EDI action plan. In time, evolve this into a more formal strategy that ensures Ada remains an inclusive and welcoming employer across our campuses for all our staff and other stakeholders.
Key Skills and experience required
- A minimum of 4 years previous People/HR generalist and partnering experience preferably with some experience of working in schools, colleges, universities, training providers or education management organisations.
- Level 7 CIPD qualified, or similar experience is essential Demonstrable experience of improving talent attraction, selection and development
- Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of UK employment law and experience in handling complex ER cases, Employment Tribunals, ACAS Conciliations and Settlements.
- Demonstrable experience of working with leaders on complex people related issues.
- High level of integrity, discretion and confidentiality.
- Evidence of delivering HR solutions, including strategic HR initiatives and change projects.

About the role
We are looking for two exceptional Heads of Philanthropy to join our team to significantly increase philanthropic income for faculty fundraising priorities across King’s College London.Within your application, please indicate which position you are applying to, or if you are happy to be considered for both positions.
One role will lead the Health, Science & Technology philanthropy team, and the other will lead the Arts & Social Sciences philanthropy team. King’s has an ambition to significantly scale philanthropic income for Faculties as we prepare to launch our next major fundraising and engagement campaign in 2027 and mark the university’s bicentenary in 2029. Working closely with the Associate Director, Faculty Philanthropy, the postholder will play a pivotal role in developing and growing the major gift fundraising function. They will be responsible for leading and nurturing a team of high value fundraisers to secure gifts at the £50k level and above.
We are looking for someone with a proven track-record of developing new, high value relationships, with experience of closing gifts at the six- and seven- figure level. They will need to demonstrate that they understand what is required to build and scale prospect portfolios. They should be intellectually curious and energised by the depth and breadth of King’s academic expertise, with particular interest and passion to work with senior university leaders and academics to secure funding for a range of priorities across either the Arts and Social Sciences, or Health, Science & Technology portfolio.
Working closely with the Associate Director, Faculty Philanthropy, the postholder will play a pivotal role in developing and growing the major gift fundraising function in advance of the launch of the university’s next public fundraising campaign. They will be responsible for leading and nurturing a team of high value fundraisers to secure gifts at the £50k level and above.
This is a full time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract. P&A has a hybrid working approach, with a minimum of 40% of time in the office, on King’s campuses or meeting donors externally. We’re searching for an entrepreneurial and strategic Head of Commercial Ventures to build and lead our first commercial strategy, growing innovative ventures that balance financial sustainability with social impact.
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering Lift Schools’ commercial enterprise strategy. This is a unique opportunity to design, launch and scale commercial initiatives that will directly support our ambition: an excellent education for every child, in every classroom, every day.
About the role
As Head of Commercial Ventures, you will:
- Develop and deliver Lift’s first commercial enterprise strategy, aligned to our educational mission
- Grow and optimise existing ventures such as estate lettings and apprenticeship provision
- Identify and build new market opportunities — products, services and partnerships across the education and wider sector
- Lead development of business models, pricing strategies, go-to-market plans and commercial governance frameworks
- Establish systems, processes and performance metrics to ensure all commercial ventures are sustainable, ethical, and aligned with our educational purpose
You’ll work closely with senior leaders, schools and operational teams to turn ideas into scalable revenue streams, balancing innovation with integrity.
You’ll be someone who:
- Brings a strong track record in commercial business development, product design or venture growth
- Has taken a commercial idea from concept to delivery and scaled it successfully
- Combines strategic acumen with hands-on delivery and entrepreneurial drive
- Understands commercial governance, risk, and compliance in charitable or educational settings

Contract: Permanent role
Salary: £47,362 to £50,981 plus £312 annual working from home allowance.
Location: All Voice 21 staff work remotely and this is a home-based role. Some travel is expected, both to the organisation's London office and elsewhere for meetings, around once a month. Voice 21 pays all travel and accommodation expenses.

As Head of Communications and Campaigns, your core responsibilities will include:
- Set the vision for Communications and Campaigns across the organisation, supporting the organisation's ambitions to expand system-wide understanding of a high-quality oracy education
- Amplify Voice 21's reputation and standing in the sector, positioning Voice 21 as the 'oracy authority' through insightful, thought-provoking communications
- Work closely with the Head of Learning to ensure effective communication of the impact Voice 21's work is having in schools across the UK
- Work collaboratively across the organisation to develop key messages for audiences, including both education and non-education stakeholders
- Lead on the refinement and maintenance of Voice 21's brand, including visual identity and tone of voice
- Lead on the management of Voice 21's external channels, including website and social media
- Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of Voice 21's communications, using appropriate research and monitoring approaches
- Work closely with the Campaign Manager to oversee Voice 21's annual campaigns, ensuring they align with our strategic objectives
- Work closely with the Events Lead to oversee Voice 21's events programme, including Oracy October and the Great Oracy Exhibition, and the development of the events function as a cross-organisational 'service'
- Work creatively and collaboratively across Voice 21, and with external partners, to develop new campaigns that meet strategic objectives
- Provide inspirational leadership to your team of four direct reports, prioritising their professional development and wellbeing
- Represent Communications and Campaigns on the Whole Leadership Team, contributing to organisational leadership, planning and performance management.
We'd love to hear from candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Proven leadership within either Communications or Campaigns, with a strong understanding of both
- Solid experience in the development of compelling and strategic key messages in education, public sector or non-profit settings
- Experience with monitoring, evaluation and target-setting regarding communications and campaigns
- Proven track record of writing to a high standard for external publication, such as reports, press releases, op-eds and blog posts
- Experience leading or supporting cross-functional teams
