• Drive innovation across challenge events, in-memory giving and supporter care, horizon-scanning for new trends, opportunities and propositions to maximise ROI.

• Collaborate with senior colleagues to build visibility and support across the Charity’s partner hospitals.
• Strengthen stewardship and supporter journeys for high-value community supporters, working with philanthropy colleagues to deepen relationships.

What we’re looking for:

• A proven track record of delivering and growing successful community & public fundraising programmes, with a track record of developing new fundraising products to drive income growth.
• Experience of leading, motivating and developing fundraising teams.
• Strong background in strategy development, budgeting and income forecasting.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills across diverse audiences.
• Skilled at developing compelling supporter journeys and excellent stewardship.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Fundraising

• Develop and review Egg and Engagement fundraising strategies with Egg Director, Head of Engagement and Head of Development.
• Support the planning, budgeting and coordination of projects, in liaison with Egg Director, Head of Engagement and Head of Development, to realise fundraising strategy.
• Lead on the stewardship of existing funders, managing the reporting relationship.
• Identify and cultivate new trust and foundation relationships needed for Egg and Creative Learning projects. This could include bid writing or asset creation.
• Build strong cases for support, identifying all the information needed to create compelling proposals and reports for high and mid-value funders
• Write, budget and submit applications to trusts and foundations.
• Monthly reporting with Development Team and Egg Director, and Quarterly reporting to Head of Finance and Director.
• Delivering and Managing the Egg Development Plan KPIs related to the Development Team.
• Facilitate the writing of the next Egg Development Plan 2027-2032

Communications

• Lead on the planning, design and publication of annual Egg impact reports, in liaison with The Egg and the Development team.
• Create visually engaging, accurate and compelling materials for promotion and reporting.
• Work with the Marketing Department, in coordination with the Development Team, to create a schedule of Egg Development communications to compliment The Egg marketing.
• Design and execute plans to maintain and grow individual giving to the Wonderfund, in collaboration with the wider Development Team.
• Oversee integrated communications and marketing campaigns related to the Wonderfund and any strategically significant Egg and Engagement work
• Managing freelance professionals in the creation of projects and materials for Egg fundraising where an investment in these services have been agreed within the Egg and TRBs budget.

Data and Impact

• Develop and refine the impact capture and reporting process.
• Gather and share data internally to support project planning and understand progress against the KPIs laid out in the Egg Development Plan.
• Maintain accurate records of all applications, prospects and donor relationships using Spektrix.
• Analyse donor trends and manage fundraising pipeline using Spektrix.
• Provide clear guidance to colleagues on funded project requirements, deadlines and reporting, contributing to the creation of management processes to gather this data, including the Wonderfund and project activity.
• Provide data for use at Board level to support decision-making.
• Manage the collection of all qualitative and quantitative data for reporting purposes to donors, trusts and foundations and service level agreement partners including Bath Spa University.

Partnerships

• Identify local and national partnerships that support the goals of The Egg and Engagement.
• Fostering and maintaining local and national relationships with cultural and education partnerships, to support The Egg’s and Theatre Royal Bath’s goals in its charitable purpose.

General

• Deliver an ethical, legal and appropriate service for Theatre Royal Bath to a high standard.
• Be fully conversant with all Theatre Royal Bath policies.
• Attend Development meetings as required.
• Always abide by the financial coding, management and monetary systems laid down by Theatre Royal Bath’s Finance Department.

Job Purpose

BSR education programme is a key benefit to members and the wider rheumatology community, providing updates on the essentials needed to deliver top-quality care for patients and ensuring professional development opportunities.  

This role sits within the Education team who are responsible for delivering BSR’s educational activity. Working alongside the Head of Education, the Events and Education Manager, Event Executive and the Digital Events Manager, you will assist in the planning and delivery of a range of education courses, webinars, bursary schemes and digital learning activities.  You will work with the team to support the work of our Education Committee, Trainee Committee and Digital Learning Board.  

This is an exciting role for someone looking to get more hands-on experience in planning and executing a variety of educational events and activities and liaising with multiple stakeholders. It is a unique opportunity to be part of the team at the forefront of rheumatology education, making a tangible impact on the professional development of members and the broader rheumatology community. 

Main Responsibilties 

Event & Course Management 

• Lead on course and webinar registration processes, including delegate bookings, communications, data management and reporting, and producing delegate materials. 
• Support course logistics including venue sourcing and management, accommodation and travel, catering and AV. 
• Support stakeholder management at education courses, including communications with patients, sponsors and event supporters. 
• Occasional travel, including attendance and overnight stays at BSR conferences, courses and events.

Systems & Data Management 

• Oversee the team’s CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) and registration systems, ensuring data integrity, implementing system enhancements, coordinating stakeholders, and carrying out testing.  

Project Coordination 

• Coordinate the rheumatology training webinar series, including topic development, speaker management and live delivery. 
• Coordinate the education bursary programme, including promotion, application management and financial reconciliation. 
• Coordinate CPD accreditation of educational activities. 
• Support the delivery of digital sponsorship and educational partnership opportunities. 

Marketing & Communications 

• Work with the Marketing and Communications team to create digital content to engage target audiences.

General Duties 

• Manage events inbox and education team enquiries, delivering excellent customer service. 
• Input into education budgets by monitoring progress against income and expenditure for owned projects.
• Support with BSR Committee liaison and logistics. 
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the Head of Education and the Events and Education Manager.

About Finance at Hope into Action 

The finance function of Hope into Action is small team comprising the Finance Manager, the Finance Administrators (job-share) and a volunteer reporting to the Head of Operations. It is largely paperless and supports our 44 staff with accounts payable and receivable functions. It works in conjunction with the other departments to deliver timely, accurate and strategic financial information for both the Executive Team and the Board of Trustees.

About the role 

The Finance Manager is a key role in enabling Hope into Action fulfil its vision of every church lovingly making a home for those experiencing homelessness.

The role is broad ranging; from managing the Finance Administrators, supporting their work when needed and also producing the monthly management accounts within our target of 10 working days from the month end.

In addition, you will support the year end work by producing the schedules required by auditors, take a lead in the annual budgeting process, produce the biannual investor statements and compile the Gift Aid returns. 

You will be expected to meet regularly with budget holders to help them achieve their targets and/or devise a plan to bring them back on track.

We are looking for a self-motivated person with a passion for our work, tenants, staff, churches and mission. You will be adaptable and equally comfortable with bank reconciliations as writing a commentary on the management accounts. We employ people of hope where humility, a genuine desire to love and serve others, and strength of character are as important as any job description. Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

What you will be doing

This is a strategic and creative role at the heart of Hearing Dogs for Deaf People’s national fundraising and engagement efforts. The post holder will lead the development and delivery of national community and challenge event programmes across all four UK regions (England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland).

Using strong project and campaign management skills, the role will grow existing initiatives charity owned initiatives such as the Great British Dog Walk and the 28 Challenge and develop new, audience-led campaigns that inspire public participation, drive fundraising, and deepen long-term engagement with the charity.

In addition to the owned initiatives, the role will promote Hearing Dogs for Deaf People to participants of external national events such as The Great North Run or the London Marathon.

The ultimate objectives are to drive income generation and guide supporters from initial involvement to becoming volunteers for the broader work of the charity and legacy pledgers.

Desired candidate

• Proactive and confident self-starter with proven experience in campaign management, digital fundraising, and audience engagement.
• Strong understanding of social media tools, digital platforms, and challenge event management (e.g. Fundraising).
• Excellent project management and cross-team collaboration skills.
• Ability to develop creative propositions and media plans based on audience insight.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with occasional travel to events and HQ.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills coupled with an enthusiastic and positive approach.

The Role

What will I be doing?

• Managing a portfolio of public engagement events, including the delivery of the summer exhibition in Dublin each year and public engagement events across NI, Scotland and Wales
• Working with colleagues from across the organisation, particularly those in the Membership and National teams to support member led or member involved approaches to public engagement, with members supported and enabled to deliver appropriate activities that impactfully contribute to the IOP’s strategic goals.
• Support the development of public engagement content that demonstrates the value of physics and its applications to our lives and the full range of career and education pathways that can be accessed through doing physics
• Support the evaluation of Public Engagement Events to ensure the ongoing improvement pf our programme

Please note that this role will require significant travel around the UK and Ireland to deliver its remit. We particularly welcome applications from outside London and the South East of England with this in mind.

Projects you work on may include:

• Managing events and activities across the UK and Ireland that connect families with physics
• Developing new, novel and exciting resources that convey the relevance of physics to our daily lives
• Supporting IOP Members and physicists more broadly to be relatable role models for young people and to tell their stories in engaging ways

Who will I work with?

• The role holder reports to the Head of Public Engagement and Dialogue
• Working closely with the other members of the Public Engagement team to deliver a vibrant annual programme
• Collaborating with colleagues from across the IOP including Membership, EDI and Communications

Ideally, we hope you’ll apply if your skills include:

Essential Criteria

• A proven track record of delivering excellence in public engagement with science and physics in particular, particularly with families
• Experience in working with volunteers and those from across the science community to deliver public engagement
• Skill in translating complex physics topics into family-friendly activities
• Experience of engaging with diverse communities, especially those currently under-represented in physics
• A degree in physics/science related/astronomy

Nice to have

• A post-graduate qualification Science/Astronomy or similar
