For over 15 years, Scotty's Little Soldiers has been supporting children and young people who have been bereaved of a parent who served in the British Armed Forces. We are about to embark on an exciting journey which will see the charity evolve to support anyone affected by a military-connected bereavement and ultimately empower a community of more than 25,000 bereaved individuals and their families by 2035.
Founded in 2010 by Nikki Scott following the death of her husband, Corporal Lee Scott, the charity currently offers a unique blend of emotional, practical, and educational support to over 750 young people.

Role Mission.
I am here to lead Scotty’s outreach to bereaved military families — helping more people find, trust, and access our support by creating a visible, welcoming, and engaged community.
I am accountable for:
- Developing and delivering Scotty’s Outreach strategy, aligned with the charity’s long-term vision and growth targets.
- Leading the development of a new in-house team, ensuring strong performance, alignment, and support across all outreach activities.
- Achieving our beneficiary reach and engagement targets, including community growth, email sign-ups & engagement, social reach, and event/webinar attendance.
- Ensuring all outreach activity is sensitive, on-brand, and audience-focused, particularly in the context of bereavement and the military community.
The key responsibilities of this role are:
- Shape and deliver the Outreach strategy to engage bereaved military families across the UK, helping us to a) reach more bereaved families, and b) maintain regular engagement with those families.
- Lead and support the development of the Outreach squad as it grows.
- Plan and oversee delivery of digital and offline outreach activity, including social media, email marketing, website content, printed publications, and event promotion.
- Initially take responsibility for the delivery of outreach activity (except social media) until the squad grows.
- Ensure strong audience insight, segmentation, and tone of voice in all comms.
- Set and report on performance metrics to the CEO, SLT, and Trustees.
- Work closely with internal teams, especially our Service Delivery, to align comms and campaigns with our Programme goals, and to ensure we sensitively engaged with the bereaved military community.
- Uphold the Scotty’s tone and brand across all outreach activity — adapting to the needs of a sensitive, bereaved audience.
The 3-month goals for this role are:
- Build a deep understanding of Scotty’s mission, our audience, the services we provide, and strategic direction.
- Finalise the Outreach strategy with the CEO, including key audience segments, platform focus, and performance metrics.
- Begin recruitment of the Outreach Squad (Social Media Exec to start, subject to funding confirmation).
- Produce and maintain a 90-day content and campaign plan, working closely with other teams.
- Establish baseline data for outreach KPIs and set up regular performance reporting.
- Picked up accountability for beneficiary marketing-related tools such as email, website, social etc.
The 6-month goals for this role are:
- Support the recruitment and onboarding of the Social Media Exec (TBC).
- Have created audience journeys and set up systems (CRM) to mirror them.
- Launch first targeted outreach campaigns focused on increasing awareness and sign-ups to services, particularly SMILES and SUPPORT programmes.
- Begin the repositioning journey for Scotty’s brand, working alongside PR & Comms and the CEO.
- Strengthen working relationships with Service Delivery to ensure handovers from outreach to support are smooth and consistent.
- Launched a regular programme of beneficiary focused comms including monthly email, annual magazine, daily social content.
The 9-month goals for this role are:
- Demonstrate progress against outreach KPIs (e.g. increased social reach, community email sign-ups, beneficiary engagement).
- Deliver a successful cycle of outreach to support 2+ SMILES or SUPPORT campaigns/events.
- Complete internal and external review of what’s working in outreach — optimise content, messaging, and tactics accordingly.
- Refine and relaunch Scotty’s beneficiary-facing email comms strategy to improve open and click-through rates.
- Begin developing a 12-month Outreach roadmap for Year 2, including content themes, campaign ideas, and team development needs.

Job Description
Purpose:
- Overall responsibility for the delivery of Chance to Shine’s events, ensuring each event is executed to the highest standard.
- To lead the planning, budgeting, sales and delivery of fundraising events at Chance to Shine ensuring each event maximises income and profit for the charity.
- To develop an events strategy to maximise income from fundraising challenge events.
- To build positive relationships with charity VIPs and ambassadors, ensuring they are fully briefed at each event.
- To manage the Events Officer.
Key Responsibilities
Event Management
- Project management of a full programme of events including cultivation dinners, annual awards receptions, and major fundraising events.
- Lead on selling Chance to Shine events to new and existing supporters, maximising income through ticket/table sales, auction and raffle income, and sponsorships.
Event Planning
- Lead on the concept and design of new fundraising events.
- To develop and regularly review an organisational events strategy focused on maximising income and return on investment for the charity.
· To develop annual budgets, forecasts and plans for all event income to feed into the wider fundraising budget.
· To have specific responsibility for the events budget within Chance to Shine Enterprises (CTSE), the trading subsidiary.
Relationship Management
- Broaden supporter networks and build a community of event supporters through networking, introductions, and working with the wider fundraising team to cross sell events and maximise income.
- Build relationships with existing and new event partners including; charity ambassadors and event hosts, venues, auctioneers, auction/raffle supporters, silent auction partners, and value-in-kind partners/sponsors.
- To lead on supplier relationships.
- To work with and manage senior volunteers to develop, plan and deliver major fundraising events.
Beneficiary and challenge events
- To build relationships with high value event partners and supporters who are raising funds on behalf of Chance to Shine, providing support as needed.
- To provide guidance to the Events Officer to maximise income from challenge events and community/third-party events.
- To work with the Corporate Partnerships Manager to integrate fundraising challenge events into our corporate partnership offer.
- To develop and implement a strategy to grow income from challenge events.
Line Management
· To line manage the Events Officer.
Other
· To engage Trustees, SMT and colleagues to support partnership opportunities where appropriate.
· To maintain up to date Raisers Edge records relating to event attendees and partners.
· To represent the charity at external events as appropriate.
· To assist with other fundraising tasks as required.
· To lead on the contracts process for event partnerships, liaising with the Director of Finance & Resources and external legal support as required.
· To ensure fundraising events are delivered in a safe and professional manner including responsibility for risk assessments relating to fundraising activity and events.

The Head of Philanthropy will lead on day-to-day fundraising across individual giving, memberships, appeals and campaigns for Leeds Playhouse. We are seeking an excellent communicator and strategic fundraiser who is creative, resilient, and highly motivated. The Head of Philanthropy will play a key role in shaping and delivering sustainable income growth through individual giving, and major donor engagement—ensuring our work is resourced for the long term.
The post-holder will report to the Strategic Director of Fundraising & Development, deputising as required, and will line manage the Development Administrator. This role is predominantly based at Leeds Playhouse with some scope for hybrid working, complementing the Strategic Director role (a part-time role, mostly working remotely).
This is a permanent, full time contract. We would like to fill a requirement for 35 hours per week, which is full-time for this role, with some flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required. However, we are open to hearing from people interested in part-time work or job sharing. Pay for the role is £35,700 per year based on 35 hours per week.

Join Dementia UK as a Challenge Events Manager where you will take the lead in delivering our DIY challenge events portfolio to grow our income in this area.
As part of the Mass Participation team, this is an exciting opportunity where we will look for you to develop the overall strategy for our DIY challenge events programmes. This covers all supporters who are taking on a sporting event through their own place. You should have experience of working with external agencies, a clear understanding of marketing channels and digital techniques to drive participation, and a working knowledge of stewardship approaches.

Key Responsibilities for the role are:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement the overall strategy for gaming aligned with the overarching Make-A-Wish UK organisational goals and market trends.
- Monitor and identify growth opportunities within the gaming sector that are unique to Make-A-Wish UK, including (but not limited to) development of strategic partnerships, product diversification to drive sustainable income growth, and market expansion to position Make-A-Wish as the go-to charity for the gaming sector.

Team Management:

Gaming Group Wish
- Oversee the entire gaming group wish development lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring the project is delivered on time and within budget.

Partnership Development:
- Establish and nurture relationships with external partners, including publishers, hardware manufacturers, distributors, and platform holders.

Campaign Execution:

Budget Management:
- Manage the budget for gaming and influencer marketing initiatives, ensuring optimal allocation of resources in line with operational needs.
- Ensure cost-efficiency and return on investment for game projects.
Wishgranting:
- Support connections to help grant wishes for children with gaming-related wishes by establishing relationships with industry partners, networks and individuals who can help.

The Role
The role of the Events team within Alpha International is to oversee the organising of Leadership Conference (LC) in-person, any events around Leadership Conference (including Donor events, Wednesday CEF event, Alpha Staff day, regional satellite events) and London-based Alpha events across the year (such as Alpha Collective and Experience Alpha).
This role is responsible for managing health and safety across the HTB sites, catering (crew, bloom café, Brompton road food vans and green rooms), internal deliveries and LC app, along with other LC related tasks.
The Key Responsibilities
Logistical arrangements:
o Development and execution of the events Day Plan. This is a minute-by-minute detailed plan that holds all the information of what will take place at the event
o Gathering technical and logistical requirements from speakers, stream leaders and internal departments; then negotiating this with the IT, Production, Vergers and Volunteers Teams or with an external venue or AV suppliers
o Determining catering requirements and caterer management
o Hiring of any additional venues as required and HTB site logistics
o Attending site visits (for external venues that might be used)
o Hiring of any additional equipment required for the event
o Liaising with the Production, IT, Verger, Worship team and all other internal departments
o Ensuring any legal and insurance tasks are thought about and in place for the event taking place
o Creating floor plans for the vergers to use
o Liaising on interpretation needs are met including BSL
o Liaising regarding speakers and associated tasks including contracts, gifts and accommodation
o Liaising and implementing programme decisions
o Developing and implementing new floor plans and layouts at events

Marketing and communications:

Staffing:

o Taking a lead role on several key packages assigned to this role
o Create and maintain comprehensive event documentation
o Writing papers on the different areas for senior management to review as and when is required

About the role
As the Events Fundraiser you will be required to research, promote and deliver fundraising events, campaigns and activities, providing excellent stewardship to supporters, whilst working to help achieve monthly fundraising income targets. You will work to deliver an annual calendar of runs, walks, challenge and sporting events across the UK as well increasing support through Myeloma UK virtual and Facebook events.
The role holder will work with the Senior Event Development Fundraiser to provide the highest quality of event delivery as well as developing relationships, securing support, marketing, delivering and monitoring the event ensuring post event evaluation and future recommendations are made. They will also work closely with Community Fundraisers, supporting them as they identify opportunities to expand and diversify their fundraising portfolio.

Head of Mass Engagement
Salary: £62,000
Location: Flexible with hybrid working of 2dpw from a Ronald McDonald House or Office
Ronald McDonald House Charities is investing significantly in its Engagement Strategy, introducing new positions (such as this Head of Mass Engagement) to ensure they can establish further meaningful relationships with their community of supporters to expand reach and deepen impact for families that need their support.
As Head of Mass Engagement you drive a digital-first approach, leading a portfolio covering participation events, community fundraising, individual giving, supporter care and supporter operations. You will develop compelling new propositions/products to untap significant potential for deeper engagement and increased financial support, effectively ensuring that all public fundraising activity is aligned to the new Engagement Strategy and reflective of the charity's values and strategic ambitions.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced public fundraising expert to be truly creative, with the investment and senior-level buy in required to develop and shape the future direction of Mass Engagement for the charity.
As Head of Mass Engagement you will:
- Lead the team to deliver integrated tactical strategies across mass participation, community fundraising and individual giving to drive income growth and deeper engagement with these audiences.
- Work closely with the Associate Director of Mass Engagement to ensure mass fundraising activity is aligned to broader organisational campaigns, strategy and digital mobilisation.
- Oversee and deliver strategies across all public fundraising channels (participation events, community, individual giving, supporter care), ensuring brand alignment and driving deeper supporter engagement.
- Take ownership of the development and implementation of supporter journeys across all mass engagement channels.
- Work closely with colleagues/peers in communications, digital, brand and relationship fundraising to ensure activities are truly integrated and aligned.
The role would best suit:
- An experienced public fundraising leader with a demonstrable expertise across individual giving, community fundraising and participation events.
- A strategic and creative mind, with the ability to lead operational delivery across a multi disciplinary team.
- Someone with demonstrated success of driving income growth with a focus on supporter retention.
- A skilled and confident people manager, driving an inclusive and empowering culture to develop direct reports and the wider team.
