Job description

Jamie's Farm exists to transform the lives of vulnerable young people by providing our unique combination of ‘farming, family, therapy & legacy’.

This role is a great opportunity for an experienced trust fundraiser to join our small and dynamic fundraising team, and be part of a growing national charity which is transforming the lives of vulnerable young people at risk of social and academic exclusion. Candidates can be based at our Bath or Lewes farms, or work remotely but be happy to travel.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage our existing relationships with trusts and foundations to a high level, including providing timely M&E reports, updated accounts, impact report etc;

• Grow our pipeline of trusts and foundations, submitting high quality applications to secure new multiyear relationships (from both existing and new donors) to help with the financial sustainability of the charity, particularly for the 2020 and 2021 financial years;

• Line manage our Fundraising Manager in Lewes, who also has responsibility for trust fundraising among other areas, undertaking regular catch ups and ensuring their happiness, success and wellbeing in their role;

• Feed into the fundraising expenditure budget, with input from the rest of the fundraising team, to ensure we do not over spend;

• Contribute to the development of effective cases for support and wider fundraising materials to ensure integration of core messaging and strategic objectives;

• Be an engaging, energetic and effective ambassador of Jamie’s Farm;

• Support our IT Manager with our transfer to a new database system, so that we are using it effectively to ensure the best donor care;

• Attend occasional networking and other supporter events to promote Jamie’s Farm;

• Manage the database records, finance detail, gift aid, thank yous and communications with relationships you manage;

• Alongside our CEO, oversee the wider fundraising budget of £1.34m, checking in with relevant Fundraising Managers to ensure we are on track to meet targets (potential);

• Lead on legacy giving and developing and delivering a strategy to grow this for Jamie’s Farm (potential); • Support CEO in managing high network relationships (potential).
