Job description

General Summary: Fosters and advances the success of Action Duchenne’s relationships with key partners  and cross functional stakeholders and virtual team at all levels within assigned area of responsibility.

● Promote Action Duchenne’s fundraising programmes with internal and external stakeholders to increase organisation revenue by identifying business opportunities and developing long-term business growth strategies. 

● Formulates and delivers a comprehensive digital fundraising strategy to drive revenue growth and educational understanding through our fundraising community. 

● Recommend ways to improve operations planning, developing digital fundraising activities, managing our source of funding and recipients

● Assessing business risk by analysing financial, statistical and economic data with overall responsibility for tracking programme. 

● Proposing and developing new strategic partnerships, writing proposals and business plans. Oversees implementation of targeted programs and marketing campaigns. 

● Leadership responsibilities for developing a Partner Ecosystem through qualifying, recruiting and enabling new sponsorship partners, as well as managing the current  partner base of corporate sponsorship

● Proactively manages the performance of individuals and teams to accelerate achievement of revenue growth targets and other strategic goals. 


● To be part of the Senior Management Team and actively contribute to the organisational strategy of the charity; 

● Strategic responsibility for fundraising including partnership development and maintaining the charity’s strong relationship our wide range of funding partners; 

● To manage and build upon the income streams for the charity; 

● Development and execution of new campaigns and propositions that maximise our digital income potential;

● Evolve and enforce the Action Duchenne communications and brand guidelines to ensure all communications are consistent and sensitive and effective. 

The post holder will be accountable for generating income, and therefore, significant experience in public fundraising through creative leadership is crucial, your record of sustained increases in income will set you apart.

The aptitude to work through relationships is key, and the post holder must have the judgement, communication, influencing skills and a high level of accuracy in execution. The Head of Fundraising and Partnerships will be responsible for two members of staff – one full-time Marketing & Support Officer and one part-time Project Engagement & Support Coordinator.
