This new role will be equally divided between Vineyard Churches UK & Ireland and Vineyard Global.

Vineyard Churches UK & Ireland (VCUKI) is a growing movement of churches, built on God’s transforming word, who worship God with passion, intimacy and expectation. We exist to participate in the advancement of the Kingdom of God through the work of local Vineyard churches that communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ in word and practise. 

The Vineyard movement is growing worldwide, with churches now established in countries on six continents. Increasingly, the Vineyard churches within a country are coming together to form national Associations of Vineyard Churches (AVCs), each led by its own national leadership.

Vineyard Global exists to bring together and strengthen those AVCs, and is itself an association. Through its Council, its Leaders, Leadership Team and Trustees, it also provides guidance and support to the Vineyard movement as it emerges, thrives and grows across the world.

The Role

Vineyard Churches UK & Ireland (VCUKI) and Vineyard Global are looking for a dedicated Head of Fundraising to join our team and help us expand our impact through effective fundraising initiatives.

This is a remote position for someone based in the UK, with the expectation to work at a VCUKI office two days a month. The role is full-time and reports to the VCUKI National Coordinator.

This is a new position that offers an exciting opportunity to grow, develop, and shape the fundraising strategy for our national movement. The Head of Fundraising will be responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy aimed at securing donations from major donors, trusts, foundations, and corporations.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Vineyard Churches UK and Ireland as well as Vineyard Global. They will work with movement leaders and Vineyard staff to maximise fundraising opportunities and establish long-term relationships with donors. The candidate should be a starter finisher as this is a new area of development for both VCUKI and Vineyard Global, and over time, it is anticipated that the post-holder will build a team to assist with key aspects of the role. We are looking for a graduate with a proven track record in fundraising within the nonprofit sector, especially someone who has successfully secured large donations and grants. Occupational Requirement

As this role will require the successful applicant to promote the Christian values of the Vineyard church movement and provide individuals with Christian pastoral support, it is an Occupational Requirement that the successful candidate is a practicing Christian, who regularly attends Sunday church services and can agree with the VCUKI Statement of Faith and Ethos Statement.

Prospectus is excited to be working with our client in their search for a new Head of Public Fundraising to join their team. The organisation is a charity for people with coeliac disease - a condition estimated to affect 1 out of every 100 people and to be twice as common in women as in men - and the skin manifestation of the condition, dermatitis herpetiformis. They work with patients, healthcare professionals, the NHS, legislative bodies, other charities and the gluten free food industry to help improve the lives of all people affected by coeliac disease.

This role is offered on a permanent contract basis, paying a salary of £52,572 per annum, with flexible working arrangements between home and their High Wycombe office.

The post holder will lead the organisation's public fundraising, driving sustainable growth across individual giving, community fundraising, events, lottery, raffle and merchandise. They will be responsible for delivering the organisation's 5-year fundraising strategy to maximise return on investment, grow long-term supporter value, and contribute to the charity’s mission — including the shared responsibility of income generation for the organisation's research fund.. The postholder will combine strategic vision with hands-on delivery, building strong internal and external relationships, fostering innovation in fundraising approaches, and ensuring a best-in-class supporter experience that deepens loyalty and maximises engagement and impact.

They are looking for a candidate with demonstrable experience in a similar fundraising leadership role, with the ability to motivate a team. They are looking for someone who can provide strategic leadership, bring greater focus and prioritisation to their fundraising activity, strengthen supporter engagement and stewardship, and build the foundations for sustainable income growth through a more insight-led and audience-centred approach. The ideal candidate will be motivated by a commitment to the coeliac community, with a strong interest in helping to fund research and initiatives that make a meaningful difference to people’s everyday lives.

What you will be doing

• Leading fundraising strategy, shaping long and short-term plans aligned to organisational priorities
• Holding accountability for income generation across multiple streams, including trusts, corporate partnerships, individual giving and events
• Growing and diversifying funding, identifying new opportunities and innovative approaches
• Leading and developing a small fundraising team, creating a collaborative and high-performance culture
• Overseeing the development of structured programmes across trusts, sponsorship, individual giving and community fundraising
• Building strong relationships with funders, partners and stakeholders, acting as a senior ambassador
• Ensuring effective governance, reporting, and compliance, including CRM oversight and performance tracking
• Providing clear insight, analysis and reporting to senior leadership and trustees

We are looking for a strategic and hands-on fundraising leader who can balance ambition with delivery.

You will bring:

• Significant experience leading fundraising across multiple income streams
• A strong track record of developing and delivering fundraising strategies
• Expertise in trusts and foundations, with experience managing pipelines and bids
• Experience of leading and developing teams, creating clarity and accountability
• Knowledge of corporate partnerships, sponsorship or major donor development
• Experience of legacy or long-term income strategies
• Strong financial and data literacy, including use of CRMs and reporting tools
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate impact into compelling cases for support
• Confidence operating at senior level, working with leadership teams and boards
