They work in more than 130 countries and territories, and their globally recognised accreditation is available to all 14- to 24-year-olds. The Head of Philanthropy is a fantastic and unique opportunity to lead a global major door programme within one of the world's most respected youth charities. You will be responsible for the strategic leadership and growth of the World Fellowship, the network of high value donors who are passionate and generous about enabling young people to discover their infinite potential. The role combines a healthy mix of strategic development, senior relationship management, and international fundraising at the five and six figure gift level.  

The selected candidate will have a proven track record of strategic philanthropy experience, who thrives on building powerful, trust-based relationships with HNWI supporters and senior stakeholders. You will have experience of securing gifts at the five and six figure level and will inspire others through a coaching, empowering style of fundraising leadership. You will be donor centred and will have evidence in your career of designing thoughtful, high-quality experiences that deepen commitment and drive long-term support.

The Talent Foundry is searching for an experienced Head of Fundraising to help us reach one million young people by 2030. This is a rare opportunity to shape and lead a philanthropy and major gifts function at a fast-growing, values-led charity with a powerful mission and an already impressive roster of long-term corporate partners.

About The Talent Foundry

Since 2009, we've helped nearly 700,000 young people aged 7-18 from underserved backgrounds discover their talents, build confidence, and develop the skills they need to succeed in education and work. We do this through free, high-quality employability programmes delivered in over 600 schools each year, in long-term partnership with employers including Barclays LifeSkills, KPMG, M&G plc, Network Rail, ICAEW and the NHS.

The role

This is a strategic and hands-on position, perfect for a fundraiser who loves building something new. You'll lead the development of new income streams, grow philanthropic and major gifts support, and work closely with senior leadership to strengthen the organisation's long-term financial sustainability.

You'll also line manage a newly formed team including a Fundraising Manager and a Marketing & Communications Manager, so experience of coaching and developing people is important.

About you

You'll have direct UK charity fundraising experience and a strong track record of securing six-figure income through trusts and foundations, major gifts or corporate foundations. You'll be an outstanding communicator, a collaborative colleague and someone who genuinely cares about social mobility.

Lived experience of the challenges faced by young people from underserved backgrounds is warmly welcomed, though not essential.

The details

• Hybrid: home-based with 2-3 days per month in London
  £45,000-£50,000 per annum
• 37.5 hours per week (0.8 FTE considered)
• 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Royal Voluntary Service has an opportunity available for a Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships to join our team, working from home. You will join us on full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a salary ranging from £50,434 per annum.

About the Head of Partnerships & Philanthropy role:

This is a newly created, senior leadership role responsible for building and scaling a high-value income stream across corporate partnerships, high-net-worth (HNW) individuals, and philanthropy at Royal Voluntary Service.
 
The role will lead the development and execution of a strategy to generate £1m+ in sustainable annual income, with a strong focus on new business acquisition, strategic relationship development, and long-term value creation.

This is what you'll be doing:
 
Income Generation & Strategy

• Develop and deliver a clear partnerships & philanthropy strategy aligned to RVS growth objectives 
• Own and deliver against a £1m+ annual income target, with defined pipeline metrics 

Corporate Partnerships

• Design and secure strategic, multi-year corporate partnerships (5–6 figure+ value) 
• Target organisations aligned to RVS mission (CSR/ESG agendas, employee engagement, volunteering)

About the Role
As Head of Partnerships and Fundraising, you will lead the development and delivery of an ambitious income generation and partnership strategy for the National Landscapes Association. This is a pivotal senior role, focused on securing and growing diverse funding streams, including corporate partnerships, philanthropy, grants and strategic collaborations to support the long-term resilience of the organisation and the wider National Landscapes network.

You will drive new business, negotiate high-value partnerships and oversee a strong pipeline of opportunities, while leading and supporting a high-performing Development Team. Working closely with the Chief Executive, Board and key partners, you will operate at a strategic level, shaping propositions, building influential relationships and positioning National Landscapes as a compelling investment opportunity within the environmental and nature-based solutions space.

Key Responsibilities

• Income generation & strategy: Lead the development and delivery of an ambitious income diversification strategy, identifying and securing funding from corporate partnerships, philanthropy, grants and strategic collaborations.
• New business development: Drive the full partnership lifecycle from prospect identification and relationship building through to proposal development, negotiation and deal closure for high-value opportunities.
• Partnership development & stewardship: Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with funders and partners, ensuring high-quality account management and delivery against agreed outcomes.
• Team leadership & performance: Lead and support the Development Team, setting clear objectives, fostering a positive team culture, and ensuring delivery against income targets and pipeline goals.
• Strategic positioning & influence: Work with the Chief Executive and Board to shape compelling partnership propositions, represent the organisation externally, and position National Landscapes as a leading partner for investment in nature.
• Governance, reporting & insight: Ensure robust pipeline management, forecasting and reporting, while maintaining oversight of legal, financial and reputational considerations across partnerships.
