Prospectus is excited to be working with the UK’s regulatory body for the engineering profession to recruit for a Head of Regulation and Governance to lead their Licensing, Governance and Strategy functions in support of providing effective risk-based regulation.
As a key member of the Executive Team, the post holder will support the CEO in the development, delivery and performance monitoring of the organisational strategy. Leading a small team, other responsibilities include overseeing the performance of the licensing system and governance function, including support to the Board of Trustees and oversight of the organisation’s risk framework. The Head will also provide advice to stakeholders on key regulatory matters and represent the organisation’s regulatory position in national and international contexts.
The successful candidate will bring excellent governance experience having managed organisational governance in a previous role, as well as demonstrable experience of working successfully with a Board of Trustees. Through previous team management experience, you will have developed exceptional management and leadership qualities and have the ability to balance your time effectively across the Executive team, Board, your team and the wider organisation. A strong communicator, you will be equally adept at communicating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

Deputy Head of Assessment - Governance and Policy

Working hours – full time (35 hours a week) - you’ll agree your working pattern with your manager (core working hours are 10:00 - 16:00).
Location – London, hybrid homeworking (minimum 6 days a month in office)
Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for medical education? Do you have experience of managing a team and working with external stakeholders? If so, this could be the role for you!
The postholder will work closely with a team of data analysts, policy officers and committee administrators, along with volunteer clinicians, to ensure that MRCP(UK) examinations adhere to regulatory requirements and meet academic objectives.
Key Responsibilities within this role include:
- Managing a multi-disciplinary team to ensure that the high standards of MRCP(UK) examinations are maintained
- Supporting and deputising for the Head of Assessment Governance and Policy
- Responsibility for overseeing key regulatory processes, including appeals, misconduct and reasonable adjustments
- Writing reports, policy documents, and regulations
- Attending meetings examining board and committee meetings
- Working closely with volunteer clinicians.
Their ideal Candidate will have:
- Proven experience in team management and development
- Strong ability to organise workloads effectively and meet deadlines
- A track record of successfully managing change
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in a similar role (e.g., in an education or e-learning environment) would be advantageous
