• Manage the development and implementation of new versions of the postgraduate curricula for our specialities.

• Oversee the provision of support for ancillary workforce development initiatives.
• Undertake market research to evaluate the viability of proposed new workforce initiatives, targeting those with the greatest reach and impact.
• Lead, motivate performance manage and develop a team.

As Fundraising Executive, you will be responsible for ensuring our supporters receive a positive and rewarding experience, as well as providing administration support for the fundraising team, including assisting on events and campaigns.

We are looking for a motivated, confident individual with strong organisational skills and an impeccable attention to detail, who is passionate about fundraising and our ambition and purpose. The successful applicant will be expected to have a broad understanding of a range of income generation methods and communication styles, and the charity sector.

You will play a key role in attracting, building and managing relationships with a range of supporters including individual donors and fundraisers, community groups, local businesses, and volunteers. From initial enquiries to fundraisers and doners, to taking responsibility for our thanking, you will look after our complete supporter care journey and ensure that the Foundation provides an exceptional experience for our supporters.

You will develop key relationships within the Foundation and Club, providing support to the rest of the Fundraising and Engagement Team as required. Some weekend and evening working will be required as part of the role. Previous experience is desirable, not essential, and the right candidate will be given scope for career progression and additional responsibilities as we grow. 

Key responsibilities 

• Act as main point of contact for supporters and donors, responding to enquiries in a timely manner
• Provide fundraising support to those raising money for the Foundation, including challenge event participants, schools, clubs, and community fundraisers
• Assist in the delivery of matchday activity for the Foundation, primarily through our 50/50 Raffle and other activations that raise funds and awareness of our purpose
• Support the Events Manager and Head of Fundraising and Engagement in the delivery of Foundation events
• Support our growing portfolio of challenge events, researching opportunities for the Foundation supporters to raise funds, and delivering exceptional supporter care to ensure we maximise these opportunities and build relationships with our fundraisers
• Assist the Head of Fundraising and Engagement in the development and delivery of a community fundraising programme
• Maintain and update donor records on our fundraising database
• Manage the administration and fulfilment of auction and other fundraising prizes, being the main point of contact for donors and relevant partners and ambassadors
• Cultivate and maintain excellent working relationships with key stakeholders, including but not limited to Harlequin FC, their partners and sponsors, regular individual givers and high-net worth donors, community fundraisers, local schools and clubs
• Represent the Foundation both internally and externally, acting as an ambassador for the Foundation and advocating for our work

Qualification and experience

• Educated to degree level or demonstrable equivalent experience
• A minimum of two years’ experience in a professional environment in a similar, admin or events-based role
• Excellent user of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and experience of CRM systems and project management tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to evidence experience of building excellent relationships and a confidence in networking and proactively communication with a range of stakeholders
• Experience of working with data and administrative tasks Desirable
• Experience of working in a similar fundraising executive/supporter care role (desirable)
• Experience of working with high-net-worth individuals or celebrities would be an advantage

Main Purpose of the Role 

The main objectives of the Corporate Fundraising Manager role is to lead the Corporate Partnerships programme; sourcing, developing and sustaining funding partnerships with a wide range of companies. This is a senior and hands-on role.  You will take responsibility for developing and sustaining your own portfolio of corporate partners working with them to secure significant funds.

Main Areas of Responsibility 

• Implement a corporate strategy which increases income and the number of corporate partners to exceed targets and build the pipeline for future years.

• Provide line management support to the corporate fundraiser(s), including setting objectives, key performance indicators and carrying out appraisals. 

• Secure new business support from companies, taking a strategic and proactive approach to new business development.

• Develop creative and compelling new business pitches, presentations and proposals for a range of corporates including COTY applications, CRM, beneficiary events and cross organisational offers, working closely with the Director of Fundraising & Marketing.

• Develop a dense pipeline of corporate partnership prospects, with a potential focus on locally-based large companies as well as national organisations who consider local charity partnerships.

• Identify and secure opportunities through proactive relationship development and peer to peer introductions.

• Maximise corporate income through exemplary stewardship and strategic development of existing and new corporate partners, including account management, developing and implementing account plans, new ideas and opportunities for income generation.

• Manage income and expenditure budgets to ensure annual targets are met, providing regular reports to the Director of Fundraising & Marketing.

• Manage and oversee the administration linked to corporate fundraising, ensuring information is entered and updated accurately onto Salesforce.

• Undertake other duties that may, from time to time, be necessary and compatible with the nature and grade of this post.

CVAA UK is a membership organisation supporting not-for-profit adoption agencies across the UK who specialise in finding homes for children in care. Over 3000 children in the UK need adoption each year because they cannot remain at home or with family members. The CVAA Practice Programme delivers 30 or more online courses each year to those working in the sector, primarily social workers. The programme has developed a strong reputation for attracting a range of subject experts to deliver cost effective, engaging and useful training. Due to a restructure of the team, we are now looking for a Training Manager who can oversee the administration and delivery of the programme. Initially fixed term, it is anticipated that this post will become permanent. We are keen to have someone joiun us as soon as possible.

The Training Manager will work with the Head of Practice Development to ensure that the courses are full, supported, delivered effectively and evaluated. Part of the role will also be to source new trainers and support the creation of the programme into 2025.

The CVAA team work remotely across the UK so location of the postholder is not a barrier to recruitment as long as long as they can travel occasionally and come into London for team days. The team is small, diverse and dynamic. Experience of project management or delivery of training or events is more important than knowledge of adoption or children's social care. We are seeking an experienced candidate with a great understanding and knowledge of individual giving, who shows great leadership skills and the ability to collaborate across teams to maximise opportunities to achieve organisational growth.

The role will manage the Donor Acquisition Fundraiser and In-Memory Fundraiser and be responsible for the overall delivery of our individual giving strategy.

As the Individual Giving Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the planning and implementation of our individual giving programme of fundraising and activities, aimed at individuals. It will be the Individual Giving Manager’s responsibility to generate significant income through individual gifts, campaigns and appeals, regular giving, in memoriam giving, lottery and legacies, and to increase activity and income from these sources.

Your primary focus will be on recruiting new donors, retention through a gold standard supporter journey and income growth for these vital areas of fundraising, all while leading a dedicated team. You will be responsible for delivering innovative and creative appeals as well as supporting the fundraisers responsible for in-memory and donor acquisition to achieve their targets and objectives.

About the role

As our corporate supporters can be powerful partners in the delivery of our advocacy and communications goals you will be confident working with colleagues internally to translate campaign plans into engagement opportunities for private sector partners. You will also be able to co-ordinate colleagues to meet new business deadlines and to ensure agreed partnership deliverables are achieved.

This role sits within our Philanthropy and Partnerships team of five, who focus on income generation through grants, philanthropy, corporate partnerships and individual giving and fundraising.  The post holder will work particularly closely with the Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships, as well as equipping Directors and our CEO to engage corporate partners and prospects where appropriate.  As a member of a comparatively small, highly ambitious team, there may, with time, be opportunities for the post holder to extend their experience beyond corporate partnerships, into other fundraising areas, should your skill set meet an identified need.

About you
You may be an established corporate fundraiser seeking a role where you can take on greater responsibility for managing your own pipeline of prospects and key partnerships.  Equally you may come from outside the sector and be able to offer clearly transferable experience of securing and developing partnerships (especially those with a “purpose” focus).

Whatever your background you will be a self-starter who is highly motivated and excited by the opportunity to think creatively about corporate partnerships that can enable Malaria No More UK’s unique advocacy and campaigning offer, with a clear goal to ending one of the world’s most significant and oldest killer diseases. 

You will also be able to demonstrate the good organisation needed for successful partnership management, and the attention to detail and strong communication skills needs to build relationships and prepare and deliver funding proposals and pitches.

About the Role

The Homestead Park has been cherished by communities for 120 years since it was gifted to the people of York by social reformer Seebohm Rowntree (son of Joseph Rowntree) so that all individuals, regardless of class or income, could enjoy time in nature.

At JRF, we’re honouring this heritage and turning the leaves of a new chapter in the story of Homestead Park. We will be developing a ten year plan to help to guide our work in Homestead Park and we’re creating two exciting new roles to support this work: the 'Community Engagement Lead' and the 'Head of Park' role. We’ll work alongside community groups and local people to steer the development of the Park and understand how it can serve communities today and for generations to come.
