New Horizon Youth Centre has been commissioned by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) as part of an Alliance with Safer London, St Giles Trust and the Anna Freud Centre to deliver on their Children and Young People’s Violence and Exploitation and Reduction support service. The commission will run from June 2024 for three years. As part of this, an additional service will be set up within the NHYC Youth Justice team specifically to deliver on the Alliance contract. This will include a team of Housing Caseworkers who will carry out assessments and advocacy work with young people under 25 who are fleeing violence and exploitation, in order to move them on successfully into both emergency and long-term housing options. You should be passionate about working with this client group, able to manage a fast-moving caseload, and committed to working collaboratively with a team across multiple services.
Salary: £31,200 - £34,736

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT LEAD
Principal duties and responsibilities:
- Plan and manage the resources and training in its overall design and content development to ensure it remains up to date and engaging and relevant.
- Identify and utilise the most appropriate platforms for delivery of different activity (eg in person, e-learning, webinar) to make the most effective use of resources and meet customer need.
- Work with subject matter experts, curating and creating content as needed.
- Work with and develop relationships with housing advice organisations and community groups to understand their learning needs.
- To develop digital content of the training materials, event video production, design brochures and training materials and keep these up to date and relevant.
- To be the first point of contact and provide first line support for all training and learning.
- Produce project progress reports and regularly review the project plan.
- Website maintenance and posting support, developing podcasts and management of the hosting platform.
- Support the administration and organisation of all learning and development programmes and events (virtual and in-person) and gather evidence and feedback to measure outcomes and impact of L&D activities.
- Arranging online and in person seminars, conferences, and training.

You will be working as part of the Older Looked-after Young People (OLYP) team in Horsham looking after young people aged 16 -17 in a warm and homely environment. Young people come to us from a variety of backgrounds and have various and often complex needs. As a Supported Housing Support Worker you will hold a caseload of residents, working with them on a one-to-one basis with also facilitating group work sessions. You will identify their needs by listening to them, with employing psychologically informed approaches to enable residents to make better choices and take responsibility for their actions. You will work closely with other services such as, Social Services, Police, Probation, education providers and local organisations. Our projects already have excellent working relationships with these services, and your role will build on these. You will be helping them to improve their practical living skills such as cleaning, budgeting, managing behaviour, seeking, and securing employment and making wise decisions. You will help to contribute to a great working environment, with a calm, yet assertive manner, being able to handle potentially difficult situations.
Based on site, this role is on a seven-day rolling rota, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

The successful candidate will be required to provide legal advice across areas of law including but not limited to information law, intellectual property, contracts, procurement, trusts, charity, litigation, insolvency, subsidy and state aid, public law and judicial review.
In addition to providing substantive advice, the role requires a Senior Solicitor to be able to research and upskill on new areas of law quickly. Further, it is expected that the Senior Solicitor will use his or her legal knowledge to improve the Fund’s internal processes and precedents, and ensure that the Fund complies with statutory and regulatory frameworks at all times.
The bulk of the Senior Solicitor’s workload will consist of autonomous matters and legal queries. These will need to be answered in a timely manner. Further, the Senior Solicitor will also work on larger scale projects where the opportunity arises.
The Senior Solicitor will be working in a team of 6 within the AID team and 14 within the wider legal team. The role does not include any line management responsibilities.
Experience working in a fast paced in-house or private practice environment would be ideal, as would experience dealing with a range of clients, and experience with public law or public bodies. Knowledge of subsidy law and/or procurement law would be beneficial, as would experience gained in the UK.

YMCA DownsLink Group’s WiSE (What is Sexual Exploitation) Project is an innovative, award winning project working across East Sussex, Brighton & Hove and Surrey, with children and young people experiencing or at risk of sexual exploitation; as well as raising awareness of Child Sexual Exploitation and other forms of Child Criminal Exploitation.
We are looking for someone with the confidence to develop a new support offer for Surrey. This new post offers the opportunity to work in the WiSE team in Surrey in an exciting new role which has two strands to it; providing targeted early intervention peer group sessions to young people (up to 25 years,) who have been identified by their educational placement as being vulnerable too sexual or criminal exploitation. The role also entails working alongside Education and other agencies to prevent Violence Against Women and Girls by creating and facilitating training to teachers of the PSHE curriculum in both Primary and Secondary schools in Surrey. The successful applicant will be supported in the role through Reflective Supervision Practice, along with regular one-to-ones.
This role will be based out of a Police Station in Surrey, which can be discussed at interview. There will be frequent travel and it is essential you hold a current driving license and have access to your own car.
