This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of youth work in England. As Policy and Public Affairs Manager at the National Youth Agency (NYA), you’ll play a central role in influencing national policy and driving change that impacts young people’s lives.
We’re looking for a dynamic and strategic individual to join our Policy, Insights and External Affairs Directorate. You’ll work closely with the Head of Policy and Public Affairs, line manage the Policy and Public Affairs Officer, and collaborate with colleagues and sector partners to deliver a bold and proactive policy agenda that champions youth work in policy making. Your work will ensure the voice of the NYA and the youth sector is placed at the heart of national policy and funding decisions.

This is an exciting time to join the NYA. Your work will directly contribute to meaningful change for young people, helping to secure the recognition, investment and support that youth work deserves.
Key responsibilities for this role will include:
- Work with the Head of Policy and Public Affairs, Policy and Public Affairs Officer, and key internal and external stakeholders to help design, manage and deliver a cutting-edge policy agenda and stakeholder outreach programme
- Line manage the Policy and Public Affairs Officer, delegating work effectively and supporting their professional development
- Identify and build positive relationships with key political and policy stakeholders who are critical to advancing our mission and amplifying the voice of the youth work.
- Manage policy projects, including drafting project plans, timelines and budgets, in collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders
- Monitor the shifting national policy and political landscape, including parliamentary inquiries, consultations, political briefings and government announcements, and advise internal and external stakeholders on opportunities and risks
- Provide the secretariat for the National Youth Sector Advisory Board (NYSAB), convening the youth sector with government departments
- Build strong relationships with peer organisations and stakeholders and identify opportunities for collaborative working to further NYA’s mission
- Organise high-quality events and policy seminars to raise the profile of the organisation
- Manage the creation of a range of high-quality written outputs for various audiences, including policy briefings, blogs and consultation responses
- Work closely with the Head of Policy and Public Affairs and Local Policy and Partnerships Manager to connect and align our national and local policy influencing and work
- Represent the NYA at external meetings and events
- Please refer to our Candidate Pack for more information on the role and the requirements.

We're committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace, and recognise the value this brings in forming strong, creative and high performing teams. We welcome applications from all sections of the community, and from those with experience from outside of the voluntary sector. And no, you don't have to be Christian to work here - we encourage people of all faiths and none to apply. We just ask that everyone lives out our values of dignity, equality, justice and love. We value a good work-life balance, so we're open to part-time and flexible working. We also offer hybrid working for our office-based colleagues and the option of being a homeworker for most of our roles too.
About the role
At Christian Aid, we believe lasting change happens when people work together for justice. Our supporters are at the heart of that change and we're now looking for a Supporter Experience Manager to shape how thousands of people connect with our mission.
This is a unique opportunity to design and deliver Christian Aid's first unified supporter journey framework, creating seamless, inspiring experiences that drive engagement, giving, and long-term loyalty.

- You'll also be committed to Christian Aid's vision to see a world where everyone can live a full life free from poverty and injustice.
Further information

This is because these groups are under-represented within our teams, especially at senior level, and we recognise and value the contributions members of these groups make to strong, creative and high performing teams.
We have a strong Christian ethos, and we encourage applications from all faiths. Applicants will be expected to demonstrate an understanding of and sympathy with Christian Aid's faith identity.
All successful candidates will require a DBS/police check appropriate to the role and location and a Counter Terrorism Sanction check as part of your clearance for commencing your role with us. Are you looking for a role that really matters? Are you passionate about gender equality and ending world hunger sustainably? If yes, this could be the role for you!
Role: Country Director
Reports to: The Board of Trustees
Hours: Full-time
Location: UK based with frequent travel to London
Who we are…
We’re The Hunger Project UK. Nice to meet you. We’re a UK registered charity committed to the sustainable end of world hunger. Our vision is a world without hunger.
Our mission is to end hunger and poverty by pioneering sustainable, grassroots, women-centered strategies and advocating for their widespread adoption in countries throughout the world. We are reaching an estimated 12.8M people around the world through 10,000 partner communities and 2,200 project sites.
Our programs are based on an innovative, holistic approach, which empower women and men living in rural communities to become agents of their own development and make sustainable progress in hunger and poverty reduction.
Our team is all around the world…from our programme countries, to our partner countries such as Australia, the Netherlands, Canada and more; with our global Head Office in New York City, US. We are all industrious, passionate, and committed; a mighty force of changemakers living around the world.
Here in the UK, we work in collaboration with our global colleagues, to raise funds for our overseas programmes and amplify the voices of those affected by hunger. We are a small but awesome team in our global scheme of things. We have big ambitions to grow and scale our fundraising efforts significantly over the next three years. So, if you’re up for the challenge.... come and join us.
What we need…
We are looking for an experienced fundraiser keen to step in and lead our efforts to scale our fundraising here in the UK. You will be a hands-on leader, getting stuck into everything from fundraising to operations, while ensuring impeccable financial sustainability.
The ideal candidate would have more than 5 years leadership experience (with a sales, marketing, or fundraising background), ideally in international development, but a background in charity is not essential. You’ll have managed a team and worked collaboratively with a Board in a previous role.
We’re looking for someone who is happy learning from our partner and programme countries and maximising limited resources, to have big impact. We’ve laid strong foundations; we now need you to get us in front of philanthropists, corporates, trusts and more!
Can you enrol people in a vision, get people taking action, mobilise funds and get things moving? If yes, you’re our person!
This role is for you if:
- You have a deep and genuine desire to make the world a better place and are passionate about gender equality and a world without hunger.
- You are truly collaborative and would rather follow existing guidance, than re-invent the wheel and work in silos.
- You have experience working with philanthropists and/or trusts and foundations, as these are two key audiences for us to scale.
- You can keep your eye on the big picture, but aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves and get the minutiae done.
- You’re a safe and steady pair of hands.
- You have impeccable written and spoken communication skills and are great at getting people on board with your vision.
- You’re a people person and brilliant networker, with a contacts book the envy of most!

This is a new senior leadership role created through Inclusion North’s restructure. It is central to how we rebuild our strategic presence in Yorkshire and Humber while ensuring strong, joined-up working across the Northeast.
You will lead high-level engagement across both regions, with a particular focus on Yorkshire and Humber. In this region, you will help Inclusion North reconnect, build strategic partnerships, and become a visible and valued voice in system-level spaces.
You will take a lead in representing Inclusion North across a range of regional spaces, including Communities of Practice, local authority-led forums, and, where appropriate, ICB-related groups. The role is anchored in Yorkshire and Humber, where you will need to be well-connected and regularly present. You will also work across the Northeast as part of a joined-up, cross-regional team.
