Our location

We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. In this role there is plenty of scope for working from home, although there will be occasions when you will need to attend 2 directorate days and conferences/events. In addition, the charity meets four times a year at the office in Hatfield for its 'All Staff Together' days, at which attendance is mandatory.

Key responsibilities

Fundraising and income generation

• Work with Impetus CEO and SMT to support the delivery of the Impetus strategy and business plan and deliver the public affairs milestones to time and within budget.
• Champion and contribute to embedding equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) across all areas of Impetus' work, ensuring that EDI principles related to Impetus’ mission are reflected in advocacy, stakeholder engagement, communications and public positioning.
• Vision setting and strong line management of the Public Affairs team, developing their capabilities, representing the team at SMT and to the Board and ensuring it continues to make a valuable - and valued - contribution to the achievement of Impetus’s objectives, through building and implementing high quality work plans for the team and ensuring the wider Impetus team is aligned on these.

As Corporate Partnerships Manager, you'll be at the forefront of growing and diversifying ShelterBox's private sector partnerships - unlocking bold, strategic collaborations that help deliver emergency shelter to families whose lives have been devastated by disaster.

With a loyal portfolio of partners already established, this role is your opportunity to lead the charge on new business. You'll shape sector strategies, grow our pipeline of prospects and turn creative ideas into long-term, multi-faceted partnerships that drive real change.

You will work with the Corporate Partnerships Officer to support stewardship of existing relationships, ensuring partners feel valued, engaged and inspired to continue supporting ShelterBox's lifesaving work. But your focus will be outward-facing and future-focused - identifying new opportunities, crafting compelling propositions and making ShelterBox stand out from the crowd.

You'll manage and mentor the Corporate Partnerships Officer, report directly to the Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships, and collaborate with the wider Philanthropy & Partnerships team. WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a strategic, creative, and proactive individual who will play a key role building strong relationships with decision-makers within businesses to help us deliver emergency shelter to the most vulnerable people hit by conflict, disaster and climate crises.

You must be confident in presenting a compelling case for support, both in writing and verbally, and be able to build relationships easily - both externally and internally. We're especially looking for someone who brings strategic thinking and planning, and who can focus their energy on targeted, high-impact work that drives results. Previous experience in corporate fundraising or within a high-value partnerships team is strongly preferred.

New business

Lead on new business development by proactively identifying and cultivating high-value corporate prospects, with a focus on building a strong and diverse pipeline.

Leadership

Provide strategic and supportive line management to the Corporate Partnerships Officer, ensuring clear objectives, success indicators, and personal development plans are in place and regularly reviewed.

Foster strong, collaborative relationships across ShelterBox, working closely with colleagues in the UK and internationally to align efforts and maximise partnership impact.

About the role

This role is key to turning data into insight that drives strategic decisions and deepens supporter relationships. Collaborating across fundraising, digital, and service teams, you’ll proactively identify opportunities, shape analysis, and influence decision-making.

You’ll deliver clear, accessible reporting and dashboards, support and mentor colleagues, and contribute to the development of our data warehouse. You’ll embed segmentation and find ways to include AI into our work and ensure insights are timely, relevant, and easy to understand.

Trusted to work independently and manage competing priorities, you’ll deliver high-impact insight with confidence and clarity. Your expertise will help shape how data is used across the organisation, and your ideas will be welcomed as we continue to evolve our approach.

About you 

You’re an experienced analyst who’s confident working independently and partnering with senior stakeholders. You bring a strong track record of translating complex data into actionable insight and influencing decisions at all levels.

You’re comfortable using tools like Power BI and combining supporter and digital data to uncover trends and opportunities. You’re proactive, detail-oriented, and confident working with complex and sensitive data, ensuring accuracy and integrity in everything you do. You communicate clearly and adapt your approach to suit different audiences, helping others build confidence with data.

You’re curious about new technologies, including AI, and keen to explore how they can improve our work. You enjoy mentoring others, improving processes, and driving continuous improvement.

Harris Hill are delighted to be working with a national charity to recruit for an Owned Events Lead to join ambitious and growing fundraising team. This is your chance to shape an exciting portfolio of in house and virtual events, from large scale participation experiences.

In this hands on role, you’ll lead the full lifecycle of the charity owned fundraising events, including planning, delivery, supporter acquisition, safety, budgeting, and post event analysis. You’ll take ownership of flagship events and help develop new products from concept to delivery, with an emphasis on insight driven decisions and supporter experience.

As an Owned Events Lead you will:

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of owned and virtual fundraising events, including logistics, health & safety, supplier coordination, supporter comms, and evaluation.
• Plan and deliver large scale in person events, managing everything from risk assessments to on the day execution.
• Develop and grow virtual campaigns using insight, behavioural science, and digital best practice.
• Collaborate with teams across innovation, digital, comms and supporter experience to ensure joined up, high performing events.
• Own event budgets, tracking ROI, reforecasting, and using data to inform decisions.
• Lead on supporter acquisition strategies, including paid digital advertising, grassroots promotion, and audience segmentation.
• Create personalised, multi-channel stewardship journeys that deepen engagement.
• Continuously evaluate event performance, capturing insight to evolve and improve future delivery.

To be successful, you must have experience:

• Experience on leading the delivery of fundraising or public facing events, including virtual formats.
• Proven success managing all aspects of event delivery, including safety, logistics, and supplier relationships.
• Experience launching new fundraising products using insight and test and learn methods.
• Knowledge of digital marketing (PPC, paid social) and audience targeting.
• Strong budget management skills with a commercial mindset.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multi-stakeholder projects and manage external agencies.

In this role, you’ll provide strategic recommendations on critical financial decisions, ensuring that finance is central to decision-making at LSBU.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Following the agreed process, conduct the annual budget setting process for the partnered units.
• Deliver finance business partnering services, including: budget setting, business case review, aiding comprehension of financial reports, financial approver maintenance, monthly forecasting, and providing advice and insight to budget holders.
• Provide ad hoc analysis to stakeholders in the partnered units.  This will often include a combination of financial and non-financial data to deliver information that improves decision making and planning.
• Following the agreed timetable, produce accurate monthly forecasts for the partnered units.  Follow consistent processes and templates, and engage constructively with efforts to improve the efficiency of those processes.
• For the partnered units, maintain an accurate record of financial approvers on the finance system.  This includes making any necessary changes, and regularly monitoring the financial approvers to ensure they are correct.
• Review, and seek regular feedback from stakeholders on, the usefulness of the suite of financial reports available to budget holders.  Pass feedback to the Head of Financial Planning & Business Partnering and the Head of Financial Reporting & Analysis.
• Using the suite of training materials developed by senior members of the team, deliver regular training to budget holders in the partnered units.

A key role supporting the National Year of Reading, you will be responsible specifically for project managing the delivery of the website to support the campaign. As Digital Project Manager, your core responsibilities will include:

• Lead on the National Year of Reading website planning and execution, liaising with both internal teams and external agency
• Collaborate with the National Year of Reading team to define project scope, goals and deliverables
