We are looking for a creative, data-driven and results orientated Digital Fundraising Officer to help us grow our income and supporter base through engaging and innovative digital campaigns. This position is based remotely, although you will be required to attend the charity’s head office located in Norfolk a minimum of 6 times per year and this will be at your own expense for travel and accommodation. Marketing

Careers4Change is delighted to be supporting The Social Change Nest in their search for a Senior Development Manager (mat leave cover).
Role Purpose:
The Social Change Nest is going through a very exciting growth period and since our Head of Development is going on maternity leave for 4 months from September we are looking for somebody who can join our growing team as soon as possible. The Senior Development Manager will contribute to our FY25/26 income targets and cover part of the functions of the Head of Development while she’s on leave. The Head of Development manages the Development team, which covers the business development, marketing and communications functions, and works with the CEO to ensure that the organisation grows in a strategic and balanced way.
The Social Change Nest is onboarding and supporting hundreds of new groups every year and we are working closely with funders across the UK and worldwide, helping them move large amounts of funding to unincorporated movements at the frontlines of social change. We are spending more time than ever raising awareness on how capital flows impact the ability of communities to create change, and how we can hack the system to enable more money to flow in an equitable way to unincorporated movements.
We are looking for somebody who is excited about all this and ready to hit the ground running. We are in the middle of a large capital raise, so we would like the ideal candidate to join the team as soon as possible to work closely with the Head of Development and the CEO, as well as the rest of the Development team, for 3 months, before the Head of Development goes on maternity leave. The Senior Development Manager will then take over part of the team support responsibilities of the Head of Development and share responsibility for the income targets with the CEO for the months that the Head of Development is on leave.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as lead for our website, social media channels and any future digital products for the Foundation brand, overseeing the day to day management of these channels and ensuring a pipeline of engaging content that supports communications objectives.

You’ll be joining the team as we continue to refine and expand our mass participation events portfolio including London Paris Ride, Great North Run and 100 miles for myeloma. You will have experience in event delivery or project planning, delivering these activities within tight deadlines while successfully building effective relationships.
The role holder will have strong administration skills, attention to detail and work as part of a team. You will be self-motivated and able to work remotely with little supervision, managing a wide range of tasks and having an interest in sporting and mass participation fundraising events.

As the Events Fundraiser you will be required to research, promote and deliver fundraising events, campaigns and activities, providing excellent stewardship to supporters, whilst working to help achieve monthly fundraising income targets. You will work to deliver an annual calendar of runs, walks, challenge and sporting events across the UK as well increasing support through Myeloma UK virtual and Facebook events.
The role holder will work with the Senior Event Development Fundraiser to provide the highest quality of event delivery as well as developing relationships, securing support, marketing, delivering and monitoring the event ensuring post event evaluation and future recommendations are made. They will also work closely with Community Fundraisers, supporting them as they identify opportunities to expand and diversify their fundraising portfolio.
You will work with other teams, develop materials required to support all marketing and promotion of events, ensuring organisational brand, style and key messages are adopted and ensure maximum use of database and other technology to increase operational efficiency within event fundraising.

About the role
This new role will be part of our Supporter Engagement team, which includes Special and Challenge Events Fundraising, Community Fundraising, Individual Giving and Supporter Care. Our Special Events programme has expanded significantly in recent years, and we

You’ll also be responsible for developing the annual budget and ensuring close collaboration with colleagues across Fundraising and Engagement to drive income and boost supporter engagement.
A key part of the role involves recruiting, training and developing staff in line with Dementia UK’s policies, including regular supervision and annual appraisals to ensure high performance and growth.
We’re looking for someone with significant experience in delivering successful third party challenge events, including participant recruitment, supporter journey development and stewardship communications to meet income targets. You should be confident leading projects, directing and guiding team members to achieve shared goals and experienced in working with external agencies. A strong understanding of digital marketing techniques and the ability to use data, insight and market trends to identify new opportunities, is essential.
