Endometriosis impacts the physical and mental health of 10% of women and those assigned female at birth, from puberty to menopause - although the impact can be felt for life. We’ve big ambitions in our strategy, focused on better supporting those with endometriosis, driving down diagnosis times, campaigning for improved treatments and access to services, raising awareness, and leveraging more money into research. We place people with endometriosis at the heart of all we do. If we get our work right, we really can make a difference to the 1.5 million women and those assigned female at birth with endometriosis in the UK – and all those diagnosed in the future.
This will be a busy, varied and important role working closely with the Head of Campaigns and Communications to identify opportunities to influence external policy to better support and represent the needs of those with endometriosis. You will be working as part of a passionate team with a strong commitment to achieving change to help those with living with endometriosis. We are looking for people from all kinds of backgrounds who are passionate about working with owners to understand the best way to train and form the strongest bond possible with their four-legged friends. You will be working alongside and under the supervision of the Head Coach to provide dog training classes to the general public.

Using only reward-based methodology, the Dog School aim is that each dog leaves the school with the ability to follow basic cues and behave well in everyday settings.
Working alongside, and under the supervision of the Head Coach, you will help to organise and teach a minimum of 15 dog training classes per week (both online and in-person) to the public, where necessary providing support on 1 to 1 basis to participants who may be struggling with specific training elements. With an understanding of dog training along with excellent communication you be self-motivated with huge amounts of energy and strong interpersonal skills. You'll be passionate about helping dog owners better understand their pets with the aim of encouraging a positive long-term dog-owner relationship and will be capable of dealing with them in a sensitive, effective and polite manner. About Global Optimism
Outrage + Optimism is part of Global Optimism, which operates as a family of projects and partnerships to elevate leadership, transform mindsets and accelerate action to protect and regenerate the web of life.
Global Optimism was co-founded in 2016 by Christiana Figueres and Tom Rivett-Carnac upon leaving the UN, having overseen the delivery of the landmark Paris Agreement. Global Optimism’s mission is to ensure that by 2030 we all - business, civil society, government and citizens around the world - will have taken necessary and decisive action to restore and regenerate the web of life.
As Founding Partners Christiana Figueres and Tom Rivett-Carnac learned during their stewardship of the Paris Agreement, how we show up in the world defines how we work with others, how we interact with our surroundings and ultimately the future we co-create. It is in this spirit that Global Optimism activates the stubborn optimists of the world, inviting and inspiring people to face the climate crisis head on and take action towards a regenerative future. We do this through trusted partnerships, an award-winning podcast, public engagements and convenings. In all our projects and partnerships, we believe that mindset matters most - we model stubborn optimism and joyful curiosity as necessary inputs to achieving our goals and encourage the same in others.
“Our future is unwritten. It will be shaped by who we choose to be now. As we learned during our stewardship of the Paris Agreement, if you do not control the complex landscape of a challenge (and you rarely do), the most powerful thing you can do is change how you behave in that landscape, using yourself as a catalyst for overall change. All too often in the face of a task, we move quickly to ‘doing’ without first reflecting on ‘being’ – what we personally bring to the task, as well as what others might. And the most important thing we can bring is our state of mind.” - Christiana Figueres

About Reprieve
Reprieve is a UK charity founded in 1999. Reprieve uses strategic interventions to end the use of the death penalty globally, and to end extreme human rights abuses carried out in the name of “counterterrorism” or “national security”.
Reprieve works with the most disenfranchised people in society, as it is in their cases that human rights are most swiftly jettisoned and the rule of law is cast aside. Thus, Reprieve promotes and protects the rights of those facing the death penalty and those who are the victims of extreme human rights abuses carried out in the name of “counterterrorism” or “national security”, with a focus on arbitrary detention, torture, and extrajudicial executions.
Reprieve’s main office is in Aldgate, London, UK. Reprieve also supports full-time Fellows, who work as lawyers, investigators and campaigners in the countries in which we work. We work closely with a number of partner organisations in jurisdictions all over the world, who provide access to clients, expertise, knowledge and guidance on specific issues or regions. We work in cooperation with relevant government officials, individual lawyers and human rights defenders, as well as individual, corporate and foundation funders to further the cause of our shared goals.
About this role
The Digital Acquisition Officer is a key member of the Mass Engagement team and part of the wider Development team. The Mass Engagement team exists to raise awareness of Reprieve’s work, shift public opinion and to inspire support. Your role will be to engage members of the public, grow the Reprieve’s community and help establish our supporter base.
It is an exciting time for our team, as we launch their first mass engagement strategy to promote the long-term growth of the programme. Digital fundraising boomed between 2020 and 2021 but has faced challenges in 2022 and 2023. As we launch our new strategy, we are looking for a creative and enthusiastic individual, keen to try new things and learn through testing, excited about communicating Reprieve’s work to our supporters and inspiring them to donate.
You will be key to the acquisition of new supporters, leading on developing and managing lead generation across our platforms, building paid for and organic content, and developing new and innovative ways to engage supporters with the support of the Head of Digital and Mass Engagement.
As a small team we have a collaborative and “all hands on deck” approach, ready to step in and support each other. This means at times you will support on our retention and stewardship work, as well as helping the wider Development Team when needed.
You will share our commitment to fighting racism and advancing racial justice, as well as help craft comms that can take supporters with us on this work whilst ensuring we do this in a way that does not compound racist structures.
