About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a People Advisor to join our fast-paced, supportive HR team at the Crick. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced People Advisor to join our friendly People Partnering team to provide maternity cover.
In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to managers, lead allocated ER casework, and will work on a selection of people projects. Working collaboratively with a team of Advisors, you will also have an opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of People processes and policies.
This is a role that delivers first-line support to all employees and managers across the Crick. A visible and influential position, requiring confidence, independent judgment, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and relationship-building. It will suit an individual able to navigate a dynamic environment and comfortable working with a level of ambiguity.

What you will be doing
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Trusted Advisor to Group Leaders and Operational Heads and managers, supporting with all people issues
- Provide expert HR advice on all aspects of the employee lifecycle, working with minimal supervision and high autonomy
- Lead on the full range of employee relations cases of varied complexity, including investigations, hearings and appeals, ensuring best practice and consistency
- Support managers with restructures and redundancy processes with the ability to deliver the end-to-end process
- Work in partnership with managers to proactively identifying people challenges and propose appropriate solutions in line with Crick values
- Design and deliver management training
About you
You will have:
- Good level of experience at HR Advisor level, with evidence of working independently on employee relations issues *
- Strong influencing and coaching skills, with the ability and confidence to challenge constructively and build trust at all levels *
- Excellent judgment and ability to balance risk and pragmatism in HR decisions *
- A track record of leading or significantly contributing to HR projects or organisational change initiatives

This role will lead and deliver two projects, the Net Zero Carbon (NZC) Young Adult Voices Project, and the General Synod Young Voices project, across which it will engage with a wide variety of young people.
The Net Zero Carbon Young Adult Voices project recognises that action to tackle climate change, as part of the wider environmental crisis, is important for young people, and responds to the fact that the NZC programme is not currently strategically engaging with these groups.
This project will involve:
- gathering the voices of young adults (18-30) to enable them to influence the direction of the programme and the Church's wider Environment Programme, ensuring their voice is heard at all levels of the Programme, and informs decision-making.
- communicating what the NZC programme is doing, to raise awareness amongst young people of the CofE's commitment to being a NZC church with these audiences, and to enable pathways for them to become involved in decarbonisation and other environmental projects at the local level.
- work with diocesan colleagues to enable the voices of young people to exercise leadership influence on NZC at a Diocesan level, as appropriate.
Important to the success of this role will be engaging with departments and stakeholders across the Church of England, to ensure this work sits within the broader context of the priority to be a church which is younger and more diverse.
As this is a new project and a new role, the postholder will help to shape the role. The initial focus will be to develop a NZC Young Adult Voices Strategy and Plan for sign-off by the NZC Programme Board, and then to work through delivery of this. This will need to consider the theology, mission and action that will engage and connect with young people - particularly exploring how we root this work in the spirituality and theology that is relevant for a younger audience.
The General Synod Young Voices project follows two motions passed at General Synod (in July 2024 and February 2025) committing General Synod to listening and responding to the voices of children, young people and young adults in every subsequent session. This project involves gathering the voices through schools, churches and Dioceses and enabling children and young people to speak and present each session at General Synod. In addition, it involves working with a group of young adults drawn from every diocese to run a programme of faith and leadership development that enables them to speak into General Synod at a national level, and exercise leadership influence at a Diocesan level as appropriate.
This is a fixed-term role until December 2028, with potential to extend, dependent on 29-31 Triennium Funding.

Create mechanisms to report back the work of the NZC programme to young adults, including developing an effective communications and engagement approach which responds to their needs, with the NZC Comms Lead.

Work with the NZC Programme Director, NZC Programme Manager and the National Environmental Policy Officer to progress this project, and more broadly with the NZC Programme Workstream leads across the NCIs

Working effectively with environment programme networks in dioceses
Work with the NZC Comms Lead to effectively disseminate case studies, resources and tools through wider networks and social media

- Modelling and implementing the highest standards of safeguarding in every aspect of the work, working with other safeguarding leads with NSE, National Safeguarding Team and external stakeholders' safeguarding provision

The Opportunity
We are excited to be recruiting for a Principal Director to lead commercial growth within our Evaluation practice. This is a new role within the practice. Reporting to our Group Directors and / or a Managing Director of IEE (subject to future appointment), the Director will work as part of a practice leadership team that will oversee all aspects of the evaluation team’s work, with a focus on leading business development. The National PR Lead will be responsible for the successful delivery of Public Relations and Media strategies to support a designated portfolio of work. You will be responsible for:
- Delivering PR and media strategies for specific portfolios, leading priority workstreams, and ensuring effective tactics to meet campaign and organisational goals.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Management Accountant will play a key role in supporting the Finance Team by preparing monthly management accounts with variance analysis, budget holder reports, and statutory accounts. The key duties of the Management Accountant will be as follows:
- Complete the preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
- Play a key role in the production of the statutory accounts including notes and reconciliations.
- Own the preparation of the newly created budget holder reports ensuring that reporting is complete and accurate.
- Monitor actual spending vs budget by providing a variance analysis for monthly budget holder reports.
- Extract relevant data from Xledger and prepare reporting for internal stakeholders.
- Work with a continuous improvement mindset to identify efficiencies in existing processes.
- Support other members of the finance team when required to complete tasks.
The successful candidate will have:
- A recognised professional qualification or be part qualified studying towards becoming qualified.
- Demonstrable experience of having worked in a management accounts capacity.
- Ideally, working knowledge of Charity SORP, but candidates without this are strongly encouraged to apply.
- The ability to communicate effectively with all financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- An enthusiastic and confident personality, with a key eye for detail.

You will be an experienced public affairs and policy professional with experience influencing national decision-making.
Working with teams across the organisations, you will lead the development of compelling influencing strategies for each programme, and deliver innovative and varied policy and influencing activity to achieve these strategies. Job Purpose:
The primary responsibility of the Gift Aid Manager is to oversee the management and administration of Gift Aid, and other forms of tax-efficient giving, to maximise MSF UK’s income. About the Role
The Director of Finance, Data and Systems leads the delivery of high‑quality financial stewardship and strategy, providing expert oversight of finance, data and systems across all Sadler’s Wells venues to support organisational performance and decision‑making.
Working as part of Sadler’s Wells’ senior leadership team, you will act as a trusted advisor to the Co-Chief Executives and the Board, ensuring robust organisational financial planning, risk management, and ensuring resources are effectively aligned to deliver impact for audiences and wider stakeholders.
Key duties will include:
- Act as a strategic advisor to the Co-Chief Executives, trustees and other key stakeholders on all financial matters.
- Prepare and present financial updates to SLT, the Boards of trustees and relevant sub-committees.
- Lead the Finance and Data & Systems teams (3 direct reports and a wider team of 18)
- Advise the Board with clear, insightful financial reporting and recommendations.
- Lead the finance and accounting strategy to optimise the organisation’s financial performance

- Ensure accurate and timely year-end accounts and audit processes, in line with Charity Commission requirements and applicable accounting standards (e.g. SORP).
- Responsible for the governance of the three corporate charities, subsidiary company and board subcommittees through maintenance and development of a risk management framework, financial systems and internal controls.
About You
You will be a CCAB qualified (or equivalent) accountant, with experience operating at Director of Finance, Chief Financial Officer level or within an equivalent senior finance leadership role. You will have experience of reporting into Boards and sub-committees with the ability to translate and present complex financial data to non-finance audiences.
