About the role

We are recruiting for a strategic, results driven Operations Transformation Manager (Scientific Research), to join our Programme Management team and play a pivotal role in driving operational transformation across the organisation.

As an Operations Transformation Manager - Scientific Research, (known internally as a Senior Project Manager: Operations), you will lead cross‑functional strategic projects that strengthen the Institute’s operational effectiveness and support world‑class scientific research. You’ll take ownership of end to end project delivery, from scoping and planning through to implementation and evaluation, using your analytical skills to identify issues, propose solutions, and manage risks and dependencies.

Working closely with colleagues across operations, science, and corporate services, you will design and deliver improvements that enhance processes, reduce risk, and introduce smarter, more efficient ways of working. Your work may involve transforming operational environments for scientists, improving regulatory compliance, or deploying new technologies and processes that drive efficiency without disrupting live operations.

You will also contribute to building project management capability across the Crick, supporting the Head of PMO in establishing consistent tools, frameworks, and reporting for the wider project portfolio. You will bring confidence, flexibility, and strong stakeholder engagement skills to motivate others and deliver meaningful, lasting change.

What you will be doing

As an Operations Transformation Manager at the Crick, you will:

Project management

• Leading on operational change projects from initiative through development to implementation with ownership of project planning, timelines, resources and risk management.
• Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to control parameters: scope, budget, dependencies and timeline.

Business improvement delivery

• Work with the sponsor and senior stakeholders to agree the scope of the project, options for delivery and developing the business case to support benefits realisation
• Prepare and present clear and concise proposals, and roadmaps, for review by stakeholders to explain the strategy and approach to solutions.

Stakeholder management

• Build relationships with key stakeholders up to Director and Lab Leader level, across science and operations to gain a deep understanding of user wants and needs.
• Organise, chair, and document meetings and workshops between stakeholders at all levels of the organisation to collaboratively discuss, explore and understand issues and brainstorm solutions.

About you

You will have:

• Educated to degree or equivalent level in a relevant discipline.
• Experience of working in business analysis, business transformation and/or project management roles.*
• Proven recent record of accomplishment for end-to-end delivery of business change projects, involving a diverse group of internal stakeholders, with the application of structured and agile project management tools.*
• Demonstrates critical analysis of business systems and processes, including experience of capturing user requirements, mapping business processes, ability to articulate and visualise complex problems to non-technical stakeholders.*
• Ability to build persuasive arguments based on data, logic and the objective merits of solutions, reconcile conflicting viewpoints and remove obstacles to progress.
• Understands change management and its criticality to the success of project outcomes.*

The Head of Clinical Governance will lead and enhance the organisation’s commitment to delivering high-quality, safe care for children. This role is pivotal in overseeing clinical governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, managing clinical risks, and implementing quality improvement initiatives. The postholder will work collaboratively across teams to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement, aligning with The Children’s Trust’s strategic objectives. Whilst the post directly reports to the Director of Nursing and Quality, the remit of the role spans the whole organisation and works across all clinical directorates.

Clinical Governance

• Develop and maintain an effective clinical governance framework that supports safe and high-quality care.
• Facilitate regular clinical governance meetings to discuss performance, incidents, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure that clinical pathways and practices are aligned with best practice guidelines and evidence-based standards.

Patient Safety

• Lead initiatives to enhance patient safety across all services, promoting a culture of transparency and reporting.
• Implement and maintain the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF), ensuring that learning from incidents is captured and shared.

Clinical Risk Management

The role

As Head of Operations, you will lead all operational functions of Foxglove. You will ensure that our finance, HR, legal compliance, fundraising, systems and internal processes enable the organisation to carry out its mission effectively. You’ll work across Foxglove and closely with leadership, as well as with external partners to build a resilient and well-governed organisation, able to manage growth and complexity while staying mission driven. This role manages one member of staff and multiple consultants.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Financial Management & Accounting

1.Oversee financial operations: budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, expenditure controls, financial reporting, payroll.

2.Ensure compliance with accounting standards, audit requirements and donor / funder financial reporting obligations.

3.Manage relationships with external accountants, auditors, banks, and financial service providers.

4.Ensure appropriate and best practice financial policies and controls are in place. 

5.Ensure financial risk is identified and managed appropriately.

Fundraising & Development

1.Contribute to the organisation’s fundraising strategy in collaboration with the Co-Executive Directors and Head of Strategy.

2.Ensure systems are in place to track and manage grants, philanthropic donations, and other income streams.

3.Support the preparation of funding proposals and reports and ensure accurate and timely reporting to funders.

4.Support relationship management with key donors, foundations and partners.

Operational Systems & Processes

·Minimum of 5-7 years of senior operations / finance / business operations experience, including line management

 Alexandra Rose run practical place-based food system transformation projects based around a voucher for fresh fruit & veg. We currently have 9 projects across the UK, and we’re aiming to scale in the coming years. At the core, we work with local trusted community organisations who distribute our vouchers to local families on low incomes with young children, and in some areas to local adults on low incomes managing food related health conditions (diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure, etc). Voucher distribution is linked to a range of wider wrap around services to ensure that our projects support people in getting out of poverty in real and long-lasting ways. Our vouchers area accepted exclusively by local, independent healthy food businesses, ensuring that we are also supporting a fairer, healthier local food economy.

Our model directly tackles the barriers of affordability and accessibility to the most nutrient dense and most expensive element of a healthy diet. We change the health outcomes of young children and adults living with food related health conditions. We actively change the food environment that is available to a range of people who have been disadvantaged for decades.

As we grow nationally and expand the reach of our projects across multiple regions, we need strong operational leadership to ensure we can deliver consistently, efficiently and with confidence. You will help shape the systems and structures that support our operations, building on the strong work of our existing project teams.

Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is responding to the largest emergency in our 40+ year history. Over the last two years support for our cause has seen significant growth in income as tens of thousands of supporters have joined MAP, including individuals, trusts, foundations and corporates. We are looking to appoint an Operations Officer to help build and scale our social enterprise. You will report to the Head of Operations. Operations Officers are a crucial part of our Services Team. You will be the main point of contact for our partner charities, receiving referrals for personalised budgets and processing these on a weekly basis. You’ll be responsible for managing incoming cases, liaising with support workers, providing advice and guidance about each case, light touch financial support, and releasing personalised budgets to clients across our contracts. About Greater Change

Founded in 2018 by Alex McCallion and Jonathan Tan, Greater Change is an innovative social enterprise focused on helping people overcome the financial barriers on their pathway out of homelessness using personalised budgets. We partner with charities and support workers who refer people to us who would benefit from our financial support. The personalised budgets (supported cash transfers) we provide are typically for rent deposits, ID documents, training courses etc.

On average, Greater Change spends £1400 per individual and last year 85% of the people we supported sustained their move into stable housing, saving the public purse over £41,000 per person per annum.

Our goal is ultimately to use personalised budgets as a dignified and effective tool to end homelessness.

Main Responsibilities

1. Manage referrals end to end, including receiving, triaging, and processing cases to ensure timely release of funds to partner organisations.

2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on our CRM to track referrals, case progress, and outcomes.

3. Provide financial case planning support for each referral, using a strengths-based approach to support individuals to move away from homelessness.

4. Process weekly payments and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with internal controls.

5. Liaise closely with support workers in partner organisations to progress referrals and resolve issues.

6. Onboard, train, and support partner charities, including scoping calls, delivery of training sessions, workshops, and bespoke support and resources.

7. Ensure high-quality partnership management across all contracts, including the development of tailored resources as required.

8. Prepare operational and monitoring reports for partner organisations, lead partners, local authorities, and other stakeholders.

At our North West London Home, we are recruiting a Head of Kennels who will share our compassion and commitment for animal welfare to provide front line leadership to our team of Kennel and Animal Care staff and volunteers. We care for up to fifteen dogs on site, in addition to dogs placed into foster homes. Our Head of Kennels is responsible for managing the day-to-day smooth running of our kennels and maintaining the wellbeing of all dogs in our care, so that their individual physical and psychological needs are catered for adequately, and in line with our standards and ethics.

This is a high profile and hugely important role for Mayhew as our Head of Kennels oversees each dog's journey through Mayhew from in-take to assessment and then to rehoming. Working with staff and volunteers across the Home, foster carers, adopters, other charities and rescues and members of the public, our Head of Kennels is instrumental in ensuring that our dogs have all they need - from feeding, exercising, cleaning, and socialising to finding their perfect forever home. Leading a small team, our Head of Kennels is responsible for managing all aspects of our dog in-takes, adoptions, fostering and Pet Refuge (read more here), managing our capacity to ensure we help as many dogs as we can and ensuring our dogs are rehomed to a home suited to their individual needs as soon as possible.

Prior to joining ClientEarth Hannah has held a number of leading roles at prominent international environmental organisations, including Head of External Affairs at the UN Environment Programme World Conservation Monitoring Centre and Head of Trusts and Foundations at Fauna & Flora.

Main Duties

• Develop and implement the global philanthropy strategy as part of the overall fundraising strategy, liaising with senior leadership, programme leads, communications and finance to ensure ClientEarth can maximise the potential income from major donors.
• Develop, implement and achieve relevant KPIs and financial targets for the philanthropy team and lead on the production of appropriate reports for senior management and the board of trustees.
• Using the strategy (organisational and fundraising) the Head of Philanthropy will personally manage and support senior staff on holding income-yielding high-level relationships.
• Manage relationships and drive strategy relating to our senior stakeholders such as the Development Board, Chair of the Board and act as a key facilitator and steward of relationships between foundation staff and key programme contacts.
• Set up and implement systems to review performance against set targets and objectives and monitor funder data and oversee the effective management of our database;
