About the role:

In this role, you will work closely with the Director of Fundraising & Communications to develop and enhance their Corporate and Special Events Programme. This is very much a hands-on role of team leadership and direct account management. This includes six figure partners. 

The post-holder has a key role in the management of their Philanthropy & Corporate Board, which bring together industry leader to help move both these programmes forward. There is great freedom to innovate and a healthy pool of local business with an affinity to our cause. The post-holder takes a key leadership role across fundraising and marketing, working with their peers  and Director to take strategic decisions for wider benefit of the department. 

Line managing a small team of two you will play a key role in building and maintaining relationships with existing and prospective partners of the charity. You will ensure our partners have the best possible experience, making them feel engaged and motivated, valued and informed about the impact of their involvement and help them achieve their organisation’s objectives.

About you:

You will be an inspiring Corporate Fundraising Head, excellentcommunicator and a natural relationship builder. One of the nine members of the Coram group, Coram Children’s Legal Centre (CCLC) is the UK’s specialist centre for children’s rights in education, immigration, community care and family law, and provides significant international legal systems consultancy. We champion access to justice through information and advice, legal practice and representation, policy and strategic litigation. Our Legal Practice Unit provides advice and representation primarily under legal aid contract. About the role

This role will provide leadership and management for CCLC particularly focused on the Legal Practice Unit’s legal aid billing operations. Through systematic and efficient management, the post-holder will play a pivotal role in CCLC’s financial and operational sustainability. The role will be accountable for maximising the unit’s legal aid billing in controlled work, certificated work and inter partes costs and will hold responsibility for the unit’s billing systems. It will also be responsible for private fees billing. The post-holder will oversee the smooth running of legal aid billing including through line management of the billing team. The post-holder will work very closely with legal, operations and administrative staff. The role will act as a key point of contact for a range of internal and external stakeholders including Coram’s central finance team who will support the role with grant fund management and overall accounting functions for CCLC. The post-holder will support the Managing Director of Legal Practice and Children’s Rights and department heads in the successful maintenance of our relationship with the Legal Aid Agency. Where appropriate they will be deputising for the Managing Director on legal aid and financial matters.

The role would suit a highly organised and efficient legal aid lawyer, or a finance or billing professional with solid experience of legal practice and a deep understanding of the challenges of legal aid. Whilst candidates with direct experience of legal billing (and more specifically civil legal aid billing) are welcomed, we recognise that this is a highly specialised and niche field. As such, this role could suit a highly experienced solicitor who appreciates the important role developing sustainable businesses plays in ensuring access to justice and who therefore wishes to move into practice and financial management. They will need an aptitude for processing large amounts of data, developing and managing spreadsheets and improving organisational systems. However, they will be well supported through training, an enthusiastic and competent junior billing team, the central finance team and an outsourced legal cashiering company, as well as a friendly and collaborative management team including the Managing Director and the Heads of Education Law, Community Care Law and Immigration and Asylum Law.

This is a largely office-based role in order to fully provide support to the billing team. However, some remote / hybrid working may be possible depending the experience of the candidate after the initial settling in period and there will be flexibility over how the three days will be spread across the week (within working hours). The team are mostly based in the London office and with one billing team member in Colchester so the post holder may require some occasional travel.

About the role

Community Services at The Passage are delivered from our Resource Centre in Victoria, which provides a single, accessible entry point for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. The Resource Centre acts as a central hub, enabling people to be assessed once and supported to access the most appropriate accommodation, services or onward referrals based on their individual needs. 

People are supported by skilled client facing staff who work with them to understand their circumstances and identify the right pathway of support. Alongside assessment and casework, the Resource Centre provides immediate welfare services to help meet urgent needs and stabilise people at times of crisis. 

Following assessment, Community Services deliver a range of specialist and preventative interventions, including rapid rehousing for those at imminent risk of homelessness, advice and advocacy, employment and skills support, housing-related casework delivered in partnership with the local authority, and assertive engagement for people less able to access services independently. The overall aim is to prevent homelessness wherever possible and to support people to move quickly into safe, stable accommodation.

Key responsibilities

Strategic Leadership and Service Development 

• Lead delivery of The Passage’s 3-year strategy as it relates to Community Services, ensuring services are preventative, trauma-informed, and outcomes-focused. 
• Develop, implement and monitor an annual Community Services business plan, reporting to the Quality & Services Committee and Board as required. 
• Provide strategic leadership for No Night Out, ensuring it continues to deliver rapid, effective interventions aligned to Westminster’s homelessness strategy and wider system reform. 
• The post holder will be responsible for embedding equality, diversity and inclusion across Community Services, ensuring services are accessible, inclusive and responsive to the diverse needs of people we support, and that inclusive practice is reflected in service delivery, staff development and partnership working. 
• Identify, develop and lead new service opportunities, including bid development and commissioner engagement for Community Services. 
• Lead planning and operational delivery for Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) and other system-wide responses.

Safeguarding, Risk and Community Impact

• Act as Safeguarding Lead for Community Services, ensuring robust policies, training, escalation pathways and safe practice across all services. 
• Maintain oversight of risk management, incident reporting, and health & safety compliance within Community Services. 
• Lead locality management across services, including proactive management of anti-social behaviour (ASB) and community impact in a dense residential environment. 
• Hold responsibility for security provision within Community Services, ensuring appropriate deployment, escalation and alignment with The Passage’s values and legal responsibilities. 
• Work closely with local residents, businesses, the local authority and other stakeholders to manage concerns, maintain confidence, and protect The Passage’s reputation. 

Operational Leadership and People Management

• Provide clear leadership and direction to Community Services managers and teams, fostering a culture of accountability, learning and continuous improvement. 
• Recruit, develop and retain high-performing teams, ensuring robust supervision, appraisal and development planning. 
• Ensure consistent application of people policies, including performance management, grievance, disciplinary and absence processes. 
• Support managers to define clear roles and responsibilities aligned to service objectives and contractual requirements. 
• Champion co-production and lived experience involvement in service design and delivery, working closely with the Lived Experience Project Manager. 

Primary Services and Resource Centre Operations

• Hold strategic and operational responsibility for Primary Services, including the catering function within the Resource Centre. 
• Ensure full compliance with food hygiene, health & safety, and all relevant regulatory and legal requirements. 
• Work closely with Fundraising to support corporate volunteering and “Kitchen Takeover” initiatives, ensuring safe, high-quality delivery that enhances supporter engagement while protecting service users and staff. 
• Balance operational integrity, safeguarding and service quality with supporter and volunteer experience. 

Financial Management and Funding Stewardship

• Set and manage realistic budgets and forecasts across Community Services, working closely with Finance and Fundraising. 
• Oversee multiple funding streams, including large trusts, grant-giving bodies and commissioned services, ensuring full compliance with funding conditions and reporting requirements. 
• Support managers to understand and deliver against budgetary and income-related targets. 
• Contribute to the development of funding proposals and service models that align with organisational strategy and funder priorities. 

Monitoring, Evaluation and Impact

• Strengthen monitoring, evaluation and learning across Community Services, supporting teams to evidence impact and improve practice. 
• Analyse service data (e.g. In-Form) to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement. 
• Produce high-quality narrative and impact reporting for funders, commissioners and supporters, demonstrating both quantitative outcomes and qualitative change. 
• Work with Fundraising to showcase frontline work through supporter communications, social media and events. 

External Relations and Partnerships

• Develop and maintain strong strategic and operational partnerships across Westminster and the wider homelessness sector. 
• Work closely with Fundraising colleagues to steward corporate partners, major donors and trusts, including hosting visits and events. 
• Represent The Passage in multi-agency forums, contributing to system-wide solutions and best practice. 

Organisational Leadership

• Actively contribute as a member of the Senior Management Group, supporting organisational planning, innovation and culture. 
• Provide reports to, and attend, Board and Committee meetings as required. 
• Deputise for the Director of Housing & Services when appropriate.

Desired experience

Experience 

1. Senior leadership experience within homelessness, housing-related support, social care, or a closely aligned sector, with responsibility for multiple frontline services and managers. 

1. Proven experience leading preventative or rapid-response services, such as homelessness prevention, assessment services, outreach, crisis response or equivalent, including partnership working with local authorities. 

1. Demonstrable experience of safeguarding leadership, including acting as a designated or senior safeguarding lead and managing complex risk, incident response and escalation. 

1. Experience of managing services in complex localities, including community impact, ASB, neighbour relations and working alongside security provision or comparable risk-managed environments. 

1. Experience of managing multiple funding streams, including trusts, grants, and/or commissioned services, with responsibility for compliance, reporting and supporting income generation.

We’re looking for someone to fulfil a wide range of duties working alongside the other Administrative Assistant and volunteers in support of the Office Manager to provide coordinated administration across the Cathedral team. In addition, the post holder will support the Chief Operating Officer in tasks related to the management of the residential let properties located in Old Portsmouth. This includes coordinating property checks, arranging basic repairs and maintenance, supporting lettings activity, and carrying out viewings when properties are vacant. The property portfolio includes flats accessed by stairs only and will require the post holder to visit the flats in accordance with our lone working policy..

THE CHARITY

Suicide is the leading cause of death of men under 35 and three quarters of those who die by suicide are men. James’ Place exists to save the lives of men in suicidal crisis through delivering clinical services. We are a charity currently offering free, life-saving therapy to suicidal men at our centres in Liverpool, London and Newcastle.

James’ Place was set up by Clare Milford Haven and Nick Wentworth-Stanley in 2008 after their twenty-one-year-old son, James, died by suicide ten days after a minor operation. James had no history of mental illness or depression and had sought urgent help for anxiety and suicidal thoughts but didn’t find it.   

James' Place was set up to make the experience of finding help as easy as possible. We offer men who are experiencing a suicidal crisis a brief, intensive, therapeutic intervention in a safe environment. Men who walk through the door at James’ Place will be in a space where they feel valued and respected.  We provide a calm and peaceful environment both inside the centres and in our outside spaces, accessible to men who visit us as well as their friends and families. We have so far treated over 4,300 men who might otherwise have been unable to access the support they desperately need.

In early 2026 we will be opening our fourth centre in Birmingham. Our new centre in Birmingham will be there to support suicidal men living in the West Midlands.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Senior Suicide Prevention Therapist, you will work closely with the Head of Centre to provide strong clinical leadership and oversight while also delivering direct therapeutic work with men experiencing suicidal crisis and their supporter(s). You will play a key role in supporting the clinical team to deliver our unique intervention and to co-produce effective, individualised safety plans to help men remain safe.

This role requires an experienced mental health professional or therapist with a strong background in suicide prevention, excellent risk assessment and formulation skills, and demonstrable experience of supervision, line management, and leadership. Training, induction, and ongoing support will be provided by the Head of Centre and the wider James’ Place team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Senior Clinical Duties

· Work as a duty therapist to triage and assess suitability of James’ Place referrals daily

· Take full clinical responsibility of the men under James’ Place care, as a co-leader of the clinical team and in consultation with Head of Centre

· Lead and support peer support sessions, caseload discussions and reflective practice with the team

· Create an environment in which confidentiality, privacy and dignity are respected and be clear with clients about limits of confidentiality

· Deputise for the Head of Centre when required

Clinical

· Conduct initial Welcome Assessments with men in a suicidal crisis, assessing risk and the suitability of the James’ Place intervention and co-producing effective safety plans

· Deliver our therapeutic intervention, building trust and exploring the reasons for crisis

· Use the Lay Your Cards on the Table intervention to encourage men to talk about and explore their feelings, attitudes and behaviours and develop positive coping strategies

· Escalate care to appropriate services when necessary, including emergency services and secondary mental health teams

· Deliver one-off guidance sessions to supporters of men under the James’ Place care

· Work collaboratively with other professionals to coordinate comprehensive care

· Undergo clinical supervision with a qualified supervisor to reflect on clinical work and raise any issues or concerns arising from work

· Remain up to date with developments in law, theories and research

· Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards

· Complete session notes in a timely and effective manner

· Participate in continuous professional development and engage in training provided both internally and externally

· Support the Clinical Administration team as and when necessary

Leadership and Management

· Manage, support and lead Suicide Prevention Therapists, encouraging staff to develop and grow

· Conduct regular probation reviews, monthly 1:1s and annual Personal Development Reviews with staff

· Conduct therapist case reviews to ensure work is completed safely, effectively and in accordance with James’ Place policies and procedures

· Confidently identify and sensitively communicate areas for development and conduct performance management reviews when necessary

· Demonstrate and promote self-awareness and regularly dedicate time and space, inside and outside of work, to keeping yourself and the team well

· Provide support to access training and other developmental activities

· Support staff wellbeing

Outreach and Engagement

· Work alongside the Head of Centre to actively increase contact with local community organisations able to refer to us or offer move on support for men completing our intervention

· Support the fundraising team to bring potential supporters into our building and showcase our work, including the facilitation of events

PERSON SPECIFICATION

The role requires someone with a relevant qualification who can confidently lead a team and support men experiencing a suicidal crisis. You will need to be able to effectively conduct risk assessments and deliver our clinically proven therapeutic intervention to ensure client safety. Strong therapeutic communication, the ability to work autonomously and teamwork skills are also essential to this role, as well as the ability to build trust and hope.

· A Core Profession such as Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker, counselling or practitioner psychologist registered with NMC, HCPC, or Social Work England

· Accreditation as a psychological therapist, psychotherapist, or counsellor registered with BACP, UKCP, BABCP or equivalent, or have completed training and awaiting accreditation

We are seeking an experienced and methodical Facilities Management Operations Analyst (CAFM & Ops) known internally as CAFM and Ops Performance Analyst, to join us here at the Francis Crick Institute.

This role will be a key part of the facilities team whose objective is to ensure that scientific research does not get disrupted due to building operational matters.

You will play a key role overseeing asset management and maintenance scheduling through our CAFM system (Planon), keeping operations efficient and uninterrupted.

You’ll use the CAFM system to monitor performance, produce KPI dashboards, and drive process improvements and system upgrades.

This is a pivotal role where your work will safeguard and strengthen the environment that enables ground breaking discoveries.

What you will be doing

At the Crick, you will:

• Be an operational owner and system administrator for the Crick’s CAFM system (Planon)
• Provide Management information to Department Heads and Service Leads, extract and manipulate data from the building systems, develop and build reports in line with user bespoke requirements using available IT tools. Develop and measure KPIs across building services functions, create dashboards to enable clear communication and monitoring of performance trends, ensuring relevant statutory and regulatory compliance is captured.
