Who we are

Hospice at Home’s skilled team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants provide our exceptional core services of palliative and end of life care and support people in their last year of life also providing additional services such as Lymphoedema, Bereavement and Family Support, Befriending, Occupational Therapy and Complementary Therapy.

We provide individualised care and support to improve quality of life and our end of life care helps facilitate a peaceful and dignified death in the home and support to those who are bereaved.

Although we receive some funding from the NHS, we need to raise over 85% of our running costs in order to ensure that this vital help is available when needed and remains free of charge to patients and their families.

Our clinical service area covers a mixture of urban and rural communities, a region of approximately 1,500 square miles throughout North and East Cumbria

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Major Gifts & Individual Giving Lead to join our fundraising team.

This role leads the operational development of Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland’s Major Gifts, Individual Giving and Legacy programmes, and support in the development of Trust & Foundation applications.

As a new area of focus for the organisation, the postholder will be responsible for designing, launching and growing a full supporter journey for individual donors—from regular giving through to mid‑value, major gifts and Legacy giving. They will build and manage a strong pipeline of donors and prospects, cultivating long‑term philanthropic support for the charity.

The role also carries responsibility for developing strategic corporate partnerships with a focus on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) alignment, and values‑led partnerships that deliver sustainable mutual benefit.

They will drive the charity’s communications and supporter experience. Working with the wider fundraising team, the postholder will help design and deliver a communications plan, oversee development of social media, maintain website content, and produce print and digital materials to support fundraising and raise awareness of fundraising opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Individual Giving, major donor, legacy and Trust & Foundation income streams.
• Develop and steward high‑value supporter and corporate relationships aligned to charity values and ESG.

Essential Requirements

• Degree‑level qualification (or equivalent experience) and GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
• Significant experience delivering major donor, individual giving, legacy and/or corporate fundraising, with a track record of securing substantial or multi‑year income
• Proven ability to develop and deliver fundraising strategies, programmes and compelling cases for support
• Excellent relationship‑building, communication and presentation skills, including handling sensitive conversations
• Strong analytical capability, using data, insight and CRM systems to inform decisions and improve performance
• Confident, creative and persuasive storyteller across written and verbal communications
• Experience building new programmes and partnerships, including CSR/ESG‑aligned corporates
• Ability to manage people, priorities and multiple deadlines effectively
• Strategic, detail‑focused, proactive and resilient, with a strong values‑led and supporter‑centred approach
• Sound knowledge of fundraising regulation, GDPR and best practice
• Full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle, and willingness to work occasional evenings/weekends

The Pepper Foundation is a local charity funding children’s hospice care at home, specialised play and family days for children living with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. 

The Trusts & Foundations Fundraiser will be joining Pepper at an exciting time as we launch our new three-year fundraising strategy. Backed by committed investment and with full Board approval, we are delighted to be growing the charity to deliver sustainable income that directly supports local children and families with hospice care in the comfort of their own homes.

Working closely with the Head of Trusts & Foundations, you will play a pivotal role in increasing income from trusts and foundations by developing and managing a strong pipeline of funders, securing new grants, and building long-term relationships that lead to increased and multi-year support. You will research and prepare compelling applications to both new and existing funders, alongside producing timely, engaging reports that clearly demonstrate impact.

In the role you will:

• To oversee the day-today operations of the safehouse accommodation and services for potential victims of modern slavery in the service and their dependents
• You will work with the Modern Slavery Case Workers to supervise their production of support plans, updating records accurately and reporting key changes. This also includes preparing the client for exit, repatriation and any other resettlement plans.

About Us

Medaille Trust is one of the leading providers of support to survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking in the UK. We are working to provide refuge and freedom for survivors and fighting to see slavery in all its forms become a thing of the past. The need for this work has never been higher, there are more than 50 million estimated victims of modern slavery worldwide, and over 120,000 potential victims in the UK.

We operate ten safe houses and five outreach hubs, staffed round the clock by specialist staff, working with more than 600 men, women and dependent children each year. We work to raise awareness in the UK and to provide preventive work in source countries. Our Pursue work helps survivors to engage with police and within the legal system to seek justice and to secure convictions against their perpetrators.

Community Action Network (CAN) works alongside voluntary, community and faith sector (VCS) organisations so they can focus on what matters most: supporting people and communities. We’re now looking for an Infrastructure & Partnerships Officer to help deliver our commissioned service in partnership with VCS organisations and BCP Council Children and Young People Partnership colleagues.

About the role 

You’ll be a delivery-focused connector, supporting VCS organisations with practical organisational support, strengthening relationships between the sector and statutory partners, and helping local services work better together for children, young people and families.

This role is about turning plans into action and building trust, supporting

collaboration and ensuring community organisations can contribute effectively to local priorities.

You’ll bring experience of working in the voluntary, community or public sector, confidence building partnerships, and a strong commitment to inclusion, co-production and community development. You’ll be organised, approachable and comfortable working across the BCP area.

In the role of Partnership Lead, you will play a pivotal part in a fast-growing, pioneering charity supporting young men leaving prison to build stable, rewarding lives.

Switchback is a charity rooted in relationships and nowhere is this more critical than in our partnerships with organisations providing training, education, and employment opportunities for the young men (Trainees) we support following release from prison.

This role holds primary responsibility for developing, managing and continuously improving Switchback’s partnership ecosystem across all 10 pathways, ensuring that Trainees have access to high-quality and diverse range of opportunities that support sustained rehabilitation outcomes.

Success in this role is defined not only by the number of partnerships developed, but by their quality, consistency, distribution across pathways and measurable impact on Trainee progress.

Building on Switchback’s strong reputation for partnership working, this role is expected to strengthen and scale our network in a structured and disciplined way, ensuring that growth is intentional, well-managed and aligned to Trainee need.

The partnerships we develop must enable Trainees to step beyond their comfort zones, supporting meaningful personal development and delivering real, lasting change.

Working closely with the Head of Delivery, you will ensure all partnership activity is aligned with Switchback’s values, delivery model and strategic aims and that Mentors are effectively supported to connect Trainees to the right opportunities at the right time.

About You

You’re confident in coordinating meetings and governance activity, keeping records up to date, and managing multiple priorities with care and attention to detail.You need to be IT proficient to manage digital systems, streamline workflows and support day to day operations efficiently. You need to have advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel experience with Microsoft teams and zoom for virtual meetings. 

We are also looking for you to be able to manage shared drives and digital filing systems. Positive, pro-active and adaptable, you respond well to changing needs and are happy to support occasional evening trustee or sub‑committee meetings as part of the role.

We’re looking for a compassionate and strategic individual to join our Rail Team as the Regional Development Lead (RDL) for the East Midlands & Anglia routes. This is a pivotal role, responsible for building strong, collaborative relationships across the rail industry and leading on local delivery of Samaritans’ suicide prevention activities within the region.​

As RDL, you will work closely with industry partners such as Network Rail, train operating companies (TOCs), and the British Transport Police, to drive forward meaningful change and support those impacted by suicide. From developing Joint Suicide Prevention Plans (JSPPs) to representing Samaritans at regional meetings and organising post-incident support, your work will help save lives and support communities.

• Fixed Term - 12 months maternity cover (until June 2027)

About the Role:​

You’ll represent Samaritans Rail Programme at a regional and local level, attending regular suicide prevention meetings and providing guidance and support both within and external to the rail industry, focusing on industry specific priorities.

What you’ll do:​

• Act as a central point of contact for rail contacts, sharing information on national campaigns, internal communications, crisis signage, policy, and research.
• Manage regional suicide prevention activities, collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver impactful results.
• Lead community activities and post-incident support, ensuring local applicability of national guidelines and strategies.
• Promote responsible and ethical language around suicide and foster a culture change within the rail industry.
