Strategy, vision and impact [25%]

Delivery of the Spear Programme [20%]

• Support group and 1-1 coaching with numerous 16-24-year-olds: equipping them with practical work-ready skills and resilient mindsets 
• Provide guidance to the Lead Coach in the training room when dealing with behavioural and safeguarding situations and upskill coaches with consistent coaching feedback
• Use a coaching approach to engage young people in challenging conversations that will enable them to take responsibility and overcome significant barriers to employment 

Operations [10%]

• Liaise with relevant staff regarding site operations and work to resolve any issues as soon as possible, ensuring the office and training room are safe and tidy working spaces in line with health and safety policies

OPERATIONS MANAGER - ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Operations Manager is a key support for the church’s leadership and heads the staff team providing management over key operational and missional areas of the church’s activities.

This leadership role supports the ethos and ministries of the church and its mission to be a church for the community - discovering Jesus, sharing God’s love, and caring for those in need.

A vital aim for our church’s work in the local community is that our staff relationships, our Venue ministry, our Christian hospitality and how we use and share our building should all reflect God’s character - showing compassion, generosity, and kindness.

The role has a lot of different components, so we’re looking for someone who sees all aspects of this job as an expression of the church’s mission to proclaim the Good News and will facilitate and serve the congregation, the staff and the volunteer teams as they creatively explore ways to express our Christian ethos through the life and ministries of the church. Leadership:

Administrative Services and Support:

• Provide administrative support for the Ministers. Develop and maintain administrative, organisational, communications systems and record keeping procedures for the church’s general administration. Maintain membership and constitutional records.
• Administrate the church's IT infrastructure, broadband, phone systems, and utilities accounts and ensure they meet the operational needs of the building and its ministries.
• Assist the Venue Manager to develop and maintain suitable and effective systems, strategy, pricing, communications, contract management, staffing and customer relations.
• Develop the church’s visibility and profile in the community using the church’s website, social media, ArtSpace, and missional displays and exhibitions, ensuring these align with the church’s ethos and mission.

Financial Oversight:

• Oversee provision of financial management information to Leadership team and Trustees, including budgeting, salaries, financial reports, end-of-year statements. Support them in developing financial strategies and policies.
• Oversee the accurate functioning of church financial systems, controls and procedures. Monitor and administrate reserves and investments.
• Ensure WGC's financial practices comply with UK charity regulations. Assist with the filing of the accounts and annual report to the Charity Commission.

Provide financial oversight, management, and support for:

• Venue ministry finances, pricing and strategy
• Finance Administration - ensure all financial records, payroll, pension administration, invoices, and reports are accurate and timely. Authorise payments.
• Manage the buildings budget including liaising with the Estate Manager regarding common parts expenditure.
• Financial interactions with lease and licence holders including new leases, rent reviews, break clauses and lease renewals, insurance contributions.

JOB PURPOSE 

Reporting to the Director of People, the Head of People Services is responsible for leading the delivery of a quality and customer focused core people service to MSF UK. The role

The post holder will involve being responsible for providing timely and relevant administrative support to Scope’s retail teams (Shops, eCommerce and Commercial teams). Duties are to be carried out to a high standard and to timelines that support the demands of the retail team. 

Location: Based at Scope's London office (role can be worked 4 days at head office or 3 days at head office and 1 in a Scope shop and with the option to work from home 1 day a week) 

In this role:

• Offering timely support in a courteous and efficient manner to Retail teams via telephone and email, escalating and resolving any issues as required.   

• Liaising with retail shops and suppliers to ensure products and services are delivered in line with pre-agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and escalating and resolving any issues as required.    

• Using own initiative to proactively resolve minor issues and queries on behalf of the Retail Operations team.   

• Raise and process all purchase orders on the Finance system. To ensure all invoices are correct, possible credits raised, and costs are minimised.

• Complete all required day to day required tasks to a high standard.   

• Work with other teams across Scope to understand any print requirements, collating these and sending them out to shops along with any ad-hoc requests as required.   

• Create reactive communications for all Retail colleagues, including shop, eCommerce and Commercial team colleagues.

Role Purpose: The Grant Operations Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the charity's grant giving functions.

• Work closely with British Gas & other third-party contractors to understand their operational process for vulnerable customers, applications and referrals as well as any dependencies.

• Support BGET’s understanding of money and advice sector across England, Scotland and Wales, including sharing policy knowledge and sector developments within the 3 nations.
• Contribute to new initiatives with British Gas and grant giving programmes.

· Support the effective management of the Trust’s grant programmes across England, Scotland and Wales, including:

• Build & manage positive relationships with the grant assessment team and British Gas internal teams. 

• Providing appropriate support to ensure the direct grant programme runs efficiently and effectively, with grant funding distributed to budget and schedule.

• Undertaking both face to face and virtual monitoring visits of the helpline and application portal and assessment teams – including ongoing KPI and impact evaluation process, creating comprehensive follow-up reports including end of grant reports.

Reporting & Contract Management:

• Ensure all data collection aligned to current Data Protection regulations and use and storage of data is in line with the Trust’s own policies and provide reassurance to the Head of Services.

• Ensure accurate data is in place for year-end reporting, quarterly and including assisting Head of Services with quarterly and End of Year Board reporting.

 Reporting & Contract Management: 

• Identify risks to delivery and work with the grant administrator to help resolve any challenges with delivery that impact on the grant obligations.

• To work with internal and external monitoring and evaluation specialists, to gain impact and understanding of the effect of our funding schemes.

Knowledge Sharing

• Identify and develop opportunities to work collaboratively and share learning.

• Ensure case studies and other content is collated from grant recipients to share through our channels.

This role also ensures our end to end data flows are fit for purpose and that data within it are clean, accessible and available.

This role is responsible for:

• Custodian of our CRM data and responsible for major data import/export into the system including data validation, de-duplication, cleansing and fixing of data throughout the multiple data systems.

• Work closely with the AD of DDaT to design and deliver a strategy for Data & Insight that aligns with the charity’s long-term objectives, enhancing decision-making, efficiency, and scalability. 

• Lead Data & Insight teams to align with Parkinson's UK goals, develop team members to create collaborative, high performing teams and monitor performance, rooted in the needs of our customers.

• Provide leadership in the development of the charity’s data infrastructure and analytical capabilities, ensuring data-driven decisions at all levels of the organisation.

• Collaborate across the charity to identify key business requirements and provide actionable insights that drive performance and support strategic objectives.

About the role

You’ll lead the development and execution of the charity’s technology strategy, including the digital product experience and infrastructure. You’ll ensure seamless integration of technology services with user-centered design practices to deliver transformative solutions.

As a leader you will drive innovation, manage cross-functional teams, and maintain a strong focus on improving the user experience for both internal teams and those we serve, ensuring impactful and scalable outcomes.

What you’ll do

• Work closely with the Associate Director of Data, Digital and Technology to develop and implement:

  • the technology and digital experience strategies, ensuring alignment with the charity’s overall mission and strategic objectives.

  • a comprehensive technical roadmap, ensuring the charity’s infrastructure and digital platforms are scalable, secure, and aligned with long-term strategic needs.

• Lead and develop the team to align with Parkinson's UK goals, monitor performance and foster cross-department collaboration.

• Drive the transformation of the technology service desk, ensuring excellent customer service and an enhanced user experience for staff, volunteers, and people with Parkinson’s.

• Ensure the charity’s infrastructure is secure, scalable, resilient, and aligned with the long-term technology vision, while supporting business continuity and cyber resilience strategies.

What you’ll bring

• Demonstrable experience of driving tech-enabled organisational transformation programmes as a Head of Technology or similar. 

• Extensive experience in leading technology and digital infrastructure modernisation  initiatives, and managing complex technology projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and with measurable impact. 

• Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing and motivating high-performing, self-managing teams in both digital product and technology services 

• Expertise in user-centered design, agile frameworks, and digital product management, with experience in using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and GA4.

Salary:                        Manager £38,500 to £42,550 at 0.6 of FTE three days a week (Flexible)

The role

We are looking for an experienced part-time NEBOSH or IOSH qualified Health and Safety Manager, who will lead manage and develop our health and safety requirements and responsibilities around working outside and around water.

We have a health and safety management plan which following on from our Health and Safety audit, has outlined the framework for this role and what is needed to be implemented over the next 12 months.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Work with both Head of HR and Operations Manager on certain aspects of office Health & Safety with as and where necessary
• Project manage and deliver all requirements of the new created H&S Management Plan
• Work with managers on Construction Design Management (CDM) health and safety
• Track and ensure that risk assessments are being completed within teams for events and elsewhere where required in Thames21
• Work with HR and line managers to ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS) are created, updated and reviewed periodically
• Deliver the H&S induction session with new joiners when and where applicable
• Work with the Operations Manager to ensure vehicle checks are conducted in accordance with the vehicles policy, and that all drivers are trained in the use of the inspection checklists and all aspects of vehicle inspection.
• Compile a quarterly incident report to the Head of HR
• Manage the incident reporting system, escalating serious incidents (including risks) to senior management

• Manage a programme of safety audits to reporting these to the management team
• Manage and run the quarterly H&S group meetings and keep track of progress of actions that have been assigned
• Conduct training sessions on other related health and safety as and when required
• Other duties commensurate with the role
