Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men’s health globally, tackling mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer, testicular cancer.

In our mission to stop men dying too young, we’re recruiting four Fundraising Operations Assistants to join our team and help deliver our hugely successful annual charity campaign across our UK and European markets. This is a Fixed Term Contract from September to December 2025.

You will be part of our vibrant and energetic team supporting our fundraising community and the delivery of the Movember campaign across the UK and our key European markets. This is a hybrid role, with the option to work remotely but there will be the expectation to be in the London Office at least three times a week.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

• Be the voice of Movember, responding to all email, live chat, SMS and telephone enquiries from our community in a fast and effective manner.
• Process donations and gift matching requests efficiently.
• Support the Fundraising team on research, outreach, data management and project work as required.
• Support the management of the UK Facebook inbox and fundraising pages.
• Identify any patterns or issues with the website, and reporting these to the Head of Fundraising Operations.
• Support our post-campaign thanking.
• Support office management; including collecting, processing and sending post, and ordering supplies to be used by the team.
• Respond to ad-hoc requests as needed.
• Help execute the distribution of merch and rewards to our key supporters.
• Attend local events, where necessary, to give our fundraisers a remarkable experience, which can include work at evenings and weekends.

What the job involves

This is a unique chance to play a pivotal role in driving impactful external communication strategies that support High Value, Philanthropy and Partnerships teams. As a key player in the Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand team, you’ll enable the integration of high value fundraising activities into wider organisational communications, inspiring action to fund life-saving initiatives that help men navigate prostate cancer.

Supporting the Head of Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand and our senior Business Partner in embedding and developing our business partnering model. A major part of the role will be enabling the integration of High Value Fundraising activity into the wider communications plan to enhance results from our communications.

You’ll work closely with our Philanthropy, Corporate Partnerships and Appeal teams to help plan and deliver inspiring communications that support our fundraising strategy. From pitching proposals and event promotion to major appeal campaigns, you’ll help build strong relationships with major donors and partners. You’ll also make sure high value fundraising activity is joined up with our wider communications and campaigns to grow fundraising revenue, support our community and improve outcomes for all men affected by and at risk of prostate cancer.

Please note this role is known internally as Communications Business Partner (High Value Fundraising).

About the Role
We’re looking for a motivated and detail-driven Finance Manager to join ESSA’s international team and lead our UK financial operations. This vital role will support both UK and global finance functions, ensuring high-quality financial reporting, audit preparation, budgeting and compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

· Preparing monthly management accounts and variance analysis

· Leading year-end and audit processes for ESSA’s UK operations

· Ensuring compliance with charity accounting standards and SORP

About You

The role

We are looking for an experienced part-time NEBOSH or IOSH qualified Health and Safety Manager, who will lead manage and develop our health and safety requirements and responsibilities around working outside and around water.

We have a health and safety management plan which following on from our Health and Safety audit, has outlined the framework for this role and what is needed to be implemented over the next 12 months.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Work with both Head of HR and Operations Manager on certain aspects of office Health & Safety with as and where necessary
• Project manage and deliver all requirements of the new created H&S Management Plan
• Work with managers on Construction Design Management (CDM) health and safety
• Track and ensure that risk assessments are being completed within teams for events and elsewhere where required in Thames21
• Work with HR and line managers to ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS) are created, updated and reviewed periodically
• Deliver the H&S induction session with new joiners when and where applicable
• Work with the Operations Manager to ensure vehicle checks are conducted in accordance with the vehicles policy, and that all drivers are trained in the use of the inspection checklists and all aspects of vehicle inspection.
• Compile a quarterly incident report to the Head of HR
• Manage the incident reporting system, escalating serious incidents (including risks) to senior management

• Manage a programme of safety audits to reporting these to the management team
• Manage and run the quarterly H&S group meetings and keep track of progress of actions that have been assigned
• Conduct training sessions on other related health and safety as and when required
• Other duties commensurate with the role

About the role

You’ll lead the production of Annual Accounts for the Charity and its subsidiaries and oversee the wider Financial Accounting Team. You’ll also deputise for the Head of Financial Operations and contribute to Finance Transformation initiative.

As a subject matter expert, you will advise on technical accounting, tax, and internal controls and liaise with auditors and advisors.   Additionally, you will be responsible for driving process improvements through the effective use of data and digital tools across the organisation, with the goal of enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.

About the Role

Roles and Responsibilities

Accounting (40%)

• Oversee day-to-day transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, for both the UK charity and the newly created US charity
• Ensure that accurate and comprehensive records of accounting evidence for all transactions are maintained
• Monitor cashflow
• Support the HoFO in the month-end process
• Oversee and control monthly payroll with external payroll provider
• Oversee and control VAT returns with external accountants
• Check monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Develop the purchase order system

Financial Planning & Analysis (35%)

• Support the HoFO in the preparation of the monthly management accounts
• Control all accounts payable in dialogue with budget holders
• Finance business partnering with budget holders and the Senior Leadership Team
• Control and account for the use of restricted funds, in alignment with donor requirements and with the Impact team
• Collaborate with the fundraising team to support forecasting and income tracking

Statutory accounts and audit (10%)

• Support the HoFO in the year-end processes
• Support the HoFO in the preparation of statutory accounts, supervising outsourced accountants
• Support audit requests
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards, including charity-specific requirements

Operations (15%)

• Responsible for the financial management of grant payments, in coordination with Grant Managers and Grant Budget Holders
• Drive good practice in procurement and manage the relationship with suppliers
• Support the wider Ops team in ad hoc projects and activities

Skills and experience

Essential

• Newly qualified or part qualified, working towards a chartered accountant qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Able to be hands-on in a small finance team
• Able to drive relationships with outsourced accountants
• Fluent in using spreadsheets for financial information
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly explain complex financial data and concepts to non-finance staff and stakeholders to support decision-making

Oversee our helpdesk, which acts as the first point of contact for requests for support from our staff and volunteers. Lead business as usual IT operations and support so our people have the tools they need to carry out their work. Work with correspondents to solve problems, allocate team members to tasks, resolve issues, and constantly improve processes, standards and service quality.
Key Responsibilities

Helpdesk

• Manage the team that runs our helpdesk to ensure it functions as well as it can and make sure routine tasks are always taken care of
• Oversee first-line support and provide second-line support for inbound enquiries, troubleshooting and solving cases wherever possible
• Identify common or emerging issues and support with identifying root causes to continually improve the service
• Engage with colleagues to escalate more complex issues for further support, coordinate their resolution if appropriate, and manage stakeholders

Team Leadership and development

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of the new itrent payroll system, configurations are as per the requirements of the organisation and ensuring that the project is completed on time and goes live successfully. Main Responsibilities:

• To work closely with MHR, HR Team and consultants to ensure that tasks are scheduled and completed to meet project timelines.
• To co-ordinate work with HR and Payroll colleagues to ensure all relevant payroll processes are captured, reviewed, and, where necessary or appropriate, changed to ensure they are fit for purpose with the new system.
• To be responsible and manage the configuration of the new modules, working with HR and Payroll colleagues, MHR and other consultants to ensure that it is configured to Family Action’s requirements and that the rationale and effects of our chosen configuration is clearly documented.
• To work alongside the HR Systems and Operation Managers to ensure that the HR and Payroll teams are trained and supported in the effective use of the system as pertains to their roles.
• To be responsible and manage user testing of the new system and any parallel runs as part of the implementation process.
• To act as the Payroll System Administrator for iTrent, taking the lead on technical functionality and expertise and liaising with MHR as required for technical solutions.
• To support the Payroll team with other ad hoc duties, as may be required for running an effective and efficient payroll system.

• CIPP qualified or significant experience working in Payroll in a Payroll  Manager or payroll system development and implementation role
• Significant experience using and administrating itrent payroll systems, including liaison with system providers.
• Experience of implementing payroll system(s).

• Experience leading on projects.
• An excellent in-depth knowledge and understanding of HR and payroll processes.

The role will be pivotal in supporting our friendly fundraising team in the effective use of Donorfy. 

The Centre has to raise circa £2.5m every year to support our work with young people, children and families facing homelessness.  Our CRM and its effective use is critical to building our knowledge and insight to grow this income.  It’s a critical role that will have real impact.

Bringing your hands-on CRM experience and strong communications skills, you will have a curious mindset, proactively seeking to continually improve yourself and the role, championing a culture of data excellence, as well as taking ownership and accountability of your workload.
