Communicating with founders

• Acting as the main point of contact for entrepreneurs on a cohort, ensuring they all have the information they need to get the most out of programmes
• Communicating with founders individually and as a cohort including via phone, email, zoom
• Leading on administrative matters, including calendar invitations, permissions, photographs, and communications 

Programme delivery and support

• Ensuring that workshops, events, and sessions run smoothly and deliver a great experience for everyone involved 
• Providing technological support with tools including Zoom breakout rooms, Circle etc.
• Producing materials to support founders’ learning, including PDFs, slides, and spreadsheets
• Supporting the programme manager with the recruitment of founders which sometimes includes; Interviewing, shortlisting, and selection during recruitment cycles. 

Working with external freelancers and volunteers

• Briefing and training skilled volunteers, experts and facilitators to ensure high-quality delivery of support sessions
• Coordinating 1:1 support for founders with skilled volunteers/experts on the programmes
• Ensuring the right contracts with founders, facilitators and expert speakers are in place
• Helping maintain our database of expert speakers, freelancers and volunteers
• Identifying and onboarding new freelancers and volunteers by networking, researching, and attending external events
• Keeping track of and processing invoices from freelancers

Monitoring and evaluation

• Gathering feedback from entrepreneurs and sharing insights and areas of improvement

Main Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver a new Partners development strategy to secure significant gifts from individuals.

About the role

The Access Project is an evidence-based, data driven intervention. Central to our programme are the ways in which we use data to ensure each of our students receives the provision they need, to learn about how we can improve our delivery and to evaluate our impact on our students’ university prospects. We have developed sophisticated monitoring and evaluation systems bringing together data from a variety of sources to track students’ progress (impact management) as well as ascertain their outcomes (impact evaluation). We collect data on our students’ academic and socio-demographic background, their participation on our programme and progress on our bespoke university readiness scales, and their academic results and university destinations. We use this data to intervene in real time when delivery goes off-course but also to understand how The Access Project programmes affect student outcomes and publicize this impact externally.

As part of the Strategy and Impact Team, the Data & Insights Lead will be responsible for ensuring all teams have the right data and to deliver and monitor our programme in a timely and effective way. They will manage, analyse, interpret, and present data and information, most of it recorded on our Salesforce system, to enhance the quality of delivery, maximise the achievement of outcomes by participants and ensure that the project achieves the greatest possible social impact. They will also project manage distinct pieces of work ranging from system optimization to external reporting for impact-related projects and partnerships.

Duties and responsibilities

1) Ensure the efficacy of our monitoring & reporting systems

1. Identifies required changes related to how we collect and manage data in Salesforce so that programme delivery data is available in the right format and at the right frequency to support decision making across teams and allow for accurate reporting.
2. Make recommendations for changes to the Salesforce system in line with this and support the Operations Team with reviewing options.
3. Support other teams to have the confidence and skills to effectively use our monitoring & reporting tools and processes for their specific needs.
4. Identify required improvements to our data processes (e.g. processes for collecting/collating data, for automation, etc), and project manage their implementation.

2) Coordinate the use of data to guide tactical and strategic decision-making on programme delivery and design

1. Define the key questions for our termly performance management meetings and input into the design and content of the dashboards used in these fora.
2. Process and analyse data to derive useful insights about our programme delivery and present your findings effectively to various stakeholders to inform tactical conversations around programme design and delivery.

2. Lead the data contributions throughout our annual impact evaluation process which may include the preparation of large datasets, as well as analysis and interpretation of data.

You will work with various stakeholders, from a mixture of governments, NGOs, corporate partners and employers to support them to deliver safe and impactful programmes to agreed targets. You will report on progress to both internal and external stakeholders, becoming the local partners’ ‘critical friend’ and focal point of contact, and support them in setting up new programmes. This may include delivering programme design, training and producing toolkits and resources, and developing evaluation frameworks. You will work with local partners on all aspects of programme delivery, from project implementation, review, monitoring and evaluation and budget management.

This will be coupled with significant experience of working in Sub-Saharan Africa. What we want from you

We're on the lookout for a Data Insight Analyst who's ready to dive deep into the world of data-driven decision-making.

If you're someone who gets a kick out of using data to tackle real-world challenges and shape organisational strategy, then you might just be the perfect fit for our team. You'll need to be comfortable working with large datasets, flexing your data mining and customer profiling muscles.

Experience-wise, we're looking for someone who's no stranger to analytics software like Tableau, Faststats, or similar tools. When it comes to databases, you should be fluent in SQL and have an ability to optimise the use of data from across various sources.

First-hand experience with CRM systems such as Raiser’s Edge would be advantageous, especially in the charity sector, and if you're curious about data science or even have experience in this area, even better.

We are looking for 2 talented, creative and experienced Events Officers to work in our already established team.

The reform includes major changes at governance and executive level and relocating its Head Office from London to Oldham.

Main Responsibilities:

• To assist in the delivery of UKIM’s events programme across the UK and be part of the team that supports the national leadership of the organisation in delivering events (including fundraising and marketing events) as per agreed strategy and plan.

• To assist in securing event funding and ensuring monitoring and evaluation of all events is conducted on a regular basis. 

• To assist in developing event strategies and operational plans, building relationships and liaising with partners and local Branches.

• To be effective member of the Events Department by assisting in development of and following clear procedures and processes for meeting strategic objectives of UKIM.

• To arrange and manage all events within UKIM at a local, regional and national level.

• To assist in creating a professional, end to end approach for all UKIM events, ensuring consistency across the whole event lifecycle, including documentation, feedback and review process.

• To assist the Events manager in agreeing an annual Events schedule with the board of Trustees across all areas of UKIM.

• To assist in implementing, managing and developing Project strategy, operations, risk management strategy, monitoring & evaluation systems and budgets ensuring they are in accordance with UKIM’s global policies, principles and approach.

• To assist the Events Manager in line managing all volunteer or employed event managers and staff in field or regional offices.

• To assist in effective management, support and development of staff and volunteers involved in Event implementation.

• To visit events and branches country-wide to oversee and evaluate events and to encourage, advise and monitor staff.

• To ensure that UKIM’s financial, administrative and HR policies are adhered to in all events and by all staff responsible.

• To proactively seek opportunities for funding through networking and oversee the writing of event proposals. 

• To participate in implementation of donor-funded events, ensuring delivery meets donor requirements and UKIM’s international policies, principles and development approach. 

• To ensure the reports for completed events are received from implementing partners on time and are analysed at the Head Office for evaluating each partner’s performance and to retain appropriate audit trail.

• To ensure event management and operation information is communicated quickly and efficiently to the Executive Director and Board of Trustees.

• To participate in and carry out annual staff appraisals as appropriate.

• To assist in diligently managing an agreed expenditure budget, taking careful measure to report any unexpected costs in good time as and when appropriate.
