About the DEC
The DEC is made up of 15 member charities who are experts in humanitarian aid and specialise in different areas of disaster response. They come together to speak in one voice and make fundraising more efficient when we launch an appeal. Our members fund our running costs, and we give them back the money we raise in our appeals to carry out their vital work.
About the Role
You will hold an integral role at the DEC for accurately and efficiently managing DEC’s accounting function, ensuring compliance with charity and donor regulations. You will oversee budgeting, grant management, and donor reporting with transparency and accuracy. You will provide financial insights to support cross organisational projects and program delivery and hold a key role in developing and implementing financial strategies that align with our vision and strategic planning.
About You
You will be a confident communicator, who can engage with diverse internal & external stakeholders, including funders and partners, creating a collaborative approach to meet varying commitments. You must be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with senior finance leadership experience in the non-profit or NGO sector and demonstrate strong understanding of charity accounting standards and donor compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Processes
- Ensure accurate income/expenditure recording, bank reconciliations, and daily donation processing.
- Manage monthly accounting routines, prepare management accounts, and lead budget/forecast reviews.
- Coordinate annual and strategic budgeting, financial reporting, and analysis.
- Oversee income reconciliation across multiple streams and liaise with fundraising teams.
- Review and process drawdown payments to member agencies.
- Maintain and update accounting systems and support procurement processes.
Financial Controls
- Lead annual accounts preparation and audits; ensure regulatory compliance.
- Manage pension schedules and benefits compliance.
- Ensure tax compliance (VAT, Corporation Tax, Employment Taxes).
- Audit gift aid claims and maintain robust financial control environment.
- Update financial policies, procedures, and systems, support due diligence standards.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Oversee appeal finances, income tracking, and fund allocation.
- Coordinate governance processes (e.g., Indicator of Capacity) with member agencies.
- Monitor legacy income and liaise with fundraising/legal teams.
- Deliver annual report and accounts; produce reports for executive team and committees.
Leadership & Team Management
- Deputise for the Director of Finance and Resources.
- Prepare papers for finance committees and membership groups.
- Oversee finance team members and provide leadership support.

As the Head of Philanthropy, Asia you will be responsible for growing our major gifts programme in the Asia-Pacific region. The role/ responsibilities:

The Head of Partnerships and Events will oversee the charities growing portfolio of special fundraising events. Women at the Well is a support service for women based in the King’s Cross area of central London. We provide practical support and advocacy to women facing a wide range of disadvantages, and we have a specialism in working with women whose lives have been affected by prostitution and/or sexual exploitation. We are trauma informed, holistic and woman-centred. We deliver our mission through three interconnected services:
1. A women only drop-in service
2. An advocacy service
3. An outreach service

Women at the Well has supported thousands of women over more than twenty years work in London. We see the complex ways in which women’s inequality, racism, disability and poor health, educational disadvantage, trauma in childhood, migration and the hostile immigration environment can all lead to significant social and economic disadvantages and harm. In our work we meet women who have experienced repeated and extensive abuse, and who are often homeless, living with addictions and/or mental health issues, and in poverty. We see how these women are at high risk of a range of sexually exploitative behaviours including prostitution. As well as providing tailored support, we aim to speak up for the rights of women to live lives free from abuse.
JOB PURPOSE:
The Head of Fundraising & Partnerships will lead the development and delivery of Women at The Well’s fundraising strategy, ensuring we build the sustainable and diverse income base needed to continue supporting women facing extraordinary disadvantage, exploitation and harm. As a senior, hands-on fundraiser, the postholder will take responsibility for income generation across trusts and foundations, individual philanthropy, corporate partnerships and community fundraising, while building the systems, relationships and communications that underpin long-term growth.

We are seeking a new Head of Key Partnerships to drive innovation and growth through creative, wise, and inspirational leadership. Leading a high-performing and talented team, you'll develop LCM's strategy to grow relationships with individuals, Charitable Trusts, and Foundations who have the capacity to make a significant financial difference. What You’ll Do
This strategic role will shape the future of philanthropy at the charity - identifying, engaging and stewarding major and principal gift supporters, personally securing significant contributions and developing compelling philanthropic propositions in collaboration with colleagues across the organisation (in particular, capitalising on those around major organisational priorities such as Childline’s 40th birthday and NSPCC’s excellence in early years programme).
As a key member of the Philanthropy & Partnerships Leadership Team, you will drive ambitious income growth, champion a culture of excellence, and provide inspiring leadership to a talented team, ensuring long‑term, sustainable support for the charity.
Who You Are
This role needs an inspiring leader with a strong record of driving high‑performing teams and securing major six‑ and seven-figure gifts. You’ll bring deep expertise in individual philanthropy, major appeals and capital campaigns, along with proven success shaping effective philanthropy strategies in complex organisations. You’ll have a deep understanding of individual philanthropy, principal gift cultivation, regulation, tax-effective giving and legacies and you’ll have excellent influencing, negotiating and presentation skills. Strong financial acumen and sharp strategic judgement will be essential.

This role is responsible for managing and developing the Charity’s portfolio of corporate partnerships. This includes researching potential new corporate supporters, prospecting, engaging and stewarding to secure significant gifts, and growing the long-term potential of this portfolio. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with the Head of Philanthropy and RDA Senior Leadership team, to build and develop compelling cases for support to help fund our much-needed work.
The successful candidate will utilise their relationship building expertise to identify, engage and maintain sustainable corporate relationships. Building relationships with a wide range of audiences is key, as is inspiring them to support core activities and projects across the RDA UK network.
We are looking for a dynamic, and ambitious fundraiser for this role, who is able to demonstrate enthusiasm for the projects and services we are seeking funds to support.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed the corporate income/expenditure budgets in line with agreed KPI’s
- Manage existing corporate relationships with a view to deepen engagement and develop levels of support.
- Develop and implement an effective process and programme to identify and secure the support of new businesses donors.
- To lead on high level stewardship and engagement with committed partnerships
- Work collaboratively to ensure relationships are maximised, using innovative tactics to keep partner employees of all levels engaged.
- To foster loyalty and continued commitment to RDA, which will be measured by KPI’s focussed on longevity and depth of partnership.
- To work collaboratively with the RDA Senior Leadership team to identify new business opportunities to pitch, present and acquire new partnerships.
- Proactive management of partnerships, including regular touch points to ensure fundraising targets are met or exceeded and active plans are in place.
- Create cultivation and engagement plans for the corporate partners senior leadership
- Working with the Head of Philanthropy, utilise existing mechanisms and develop new products to create a best practice supporter experience e.g. Ambassador programs, networking events, bespoke events (treks, quizzes, adrenaline events)
- Develop and grow strategies and programmes for relationship building and stewardship of existing corporate supporters.
- Create and deliver compelling proposals and pitches to prospective new corporate supporters.
