Job purpose

We are seeking a strategic, collaborative and experienced Head of income and partnerships to drive forward and deliver our plans for income growth and diversification in line with our 5-year organisational strategy.

This is a new, pivotal role at a defining moment for the organisation. As we evolve our operating model and ambitions, you will lead the development of a more diverse, sustainable and innovative income portfolio, ensuring we can continue to grow our impact in advancing the quality of veterinary care for the benefit of animals, the public and society.

Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with your senior team colleagues, you will develop and implement our income generation strategy, unlocking opportunities across industry partnerships, trust and foundations and individual giving.

We’re looking for someone who is both strategically minded and comfortable with hands-on delivery, and who will take a proactive approach to building our income-generating capacity from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

Strategy and leadership

• Play a key role in developing and refining our income strategy to meet our organisational strategy and priorities
• Take a leadership role in income generation, collaborating with colleagues to identify and take forward opportunities for income generation and partnerships
• Advise the CEO and senior team on growth opportunities and strategic partnerships while providing coaching, guidance and support to the team on best practice in developing successful partnerships to generate income
• Encourage cross-team collaboration on income opportunities
• Work with the CEO and the rest of the senior team to set the annual business plan and budget, and monitor delivery and performance

Delivery

• Build, manage and deliver a pipeline of opportunities across multiple income streams, with a primary focus on industry partnerships, trusts and foundations, and the development of individual giving.

• Develop and secure high-value partnerships with carefully selected industry partners in line with our partnerships policy. Oversee stewardship of partners to develop successful strategic relationships in both the short and long term

• Work with senior team colleagues, clinical leads and other team members to develop compelling, outcome-driven cases for support
• Explore and support potential opportunities for income generation in other areas such as public sector and earned income.

Performance and compliance

• Monitor and report on progress towards KPIs and income targets
• Create and enhance systems, processes and tools to develop the charity’s income-generation capability
• Ensure compliance with fundraising regulation and best practice
• Work with finance colleagues on forecasting, reporting and income tracking.

Person specification

Essential

• Substantial experience leading income‑generation activity, including developing strategies, building pipelines and securing income across multiple streams
• Strong track record of developing and stewarding high‑value partnerships that deliver income and impact
• Experience personally leading successful bids, proposals and pitches
• Confidence operating both strategically and hands‑on within a small or medium-sized organisation
• Strong senior‑level stakeholder‑management skills and the ability to translate organisational strengths into compelling cases for support
• Solid financial literacy, including budgeting, forecasting and income tracking
• Clear understanding of best practice, governance and ethical considerations in income generation

Desirable

• Experience working within the veterinary or animal‑health sector, or in a similarly technical or evidence‑based environment

ABOUT THE ROLE 

Role overview 

The Head of MAT and School Partnerships will build and lead a high-impact portfolio of strategic MAT partnerships that improve recruitment, retention and long-term success for career change teachers while strengthening outcomes for schools and pupils. 

This is a pivotal leadership role at the heart of Now Teach’s next phase of growth and impact. The postholder will play a central role in shaping how we work with MATs nationally and how career change teachers are recruited, supported and retained within schools serving disadvantaged communities.

You will also work closely with the Director of Network and Head of Impact to develop a school engagement, impact and advocacy strategy across the 500 schools where our 1,000-strong Now Teacher Network currently teach.

In this role you will……   

Lead the design, delivery and evolution of Now Teach’s MAT partnership strategy aimed at ensuring Now Teacher impact in schools. You will support teams to deliver on their agreed recruitment targets and network offer commitments , establishing and growing a portfolio of deeply engaged partners who get it right for their career change teachers.

You will create and maintain strategic relationships, act as a sector expert for growth opportunities, influence and negotiate at senior levels and demonstrate excellent communication skills. Strong judgement and relentless customer focus will be essential as you build customer loyalty and enhance MAT and school advocacy and ultimately, our impact. 

Key responsibilities 

Strategic Leadership  

• Lead the further development,  execution and continuous improvement of the charity’s MAT and School strategy   

• Feed your knowledge into decisions that will support us to increase our footprint in schools serving areas of greater socio-economic disadvantage 

• Use partnership insight and data to inform organisational strategy and decision-making 

• As a member of the extended leadership team, you will contribute to wider organisational planning, decision-making and strategic development 

Partner Development and Account Management 

• Identify and action external landscape opportunities leading on relationships with relevant sector partners 

• Build and manage a high-quality pipeline of prospective MAT partners who embed the Now Teach model successfully and champion its impact across the sector 

• Shape the development of CRM and partnership management systems that enable high-quality and scalable account management 

• Maintain robust partnership governance, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements and organisational standards 

• Design and deliver an approach for engaging existing partner schools to strengthen relationships and maximise Network impact. 

• Oversee a suite of messaging and materials that can be used to brief external audiences and pitch to potential partners supported by Now Teach Communications colleagues 

• Manage a lighter touch relationship rhythm with a wider set of training providers in our portfolio.

Cross-Organisational Delivery 

• Define and embed scalable partnership delivery models across recruitment and network teams to ensure successful delivery of agreed partnership models with up to 8 priority partners in year 1 growing to up to 15 over the next 3 years 

• Work with the Leadership team to implement required changes so that by 2030, 70% of new Now Teach recruits are placed with priority partners and experience an integrated Network offer achieving sector-leading satisfaction scores from Now Teachers and partner schools 

• Deliver on our ambition for 60% of all new Now Teachers to be teaching in schools serving areas of greater disadvantage by 2030 

 Business Development & External Influence 

• Secure partnership income targets, negotiate partnership contributions, and drive commercial sustainability, working closely with COO/Finance Manager on ongoing cost models. 

• Position Now Teach as a leading strategic partner for MATs seeking to recruit and retain high-quality career change teachers 

• Represent Now Teach externally across the education sector, building credibility and influence with MAT leaders, system partners and sector stakeholders 

• Maintain deep understanding of MAT priorities, workforce challenges and sector developments 

Impact, Evaluation & Continuous Improvement  

• Work closely with the Head of Impact to monitor and evaluate partnership work

• Identify insights and trends that support continuous improvement and work collaboratively across teams to iterate our future partnership models 

• Deliver and monitor data sharing agreements with priority partners working closely with our Data Manager and Head of Technology to ensure high quality and robust data sets

• Monitor and report on pipeline progress and established success metrics as part of the leadership team, course correcting as required

About the role

Reporting to the Director of Fundraising, you will take ownership of RBVE’s corporate fundraising portfolio, strengthening supporter engagement and building long‑term value. Role description: 

We are currently looking for a Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships to join our Fundraising & Supporter Experience Team. 

Reporting to the Director of Fundraising & Supporter Experience, the postholder will lead the development and delivery of the charity’s philanthropy and partnerships strategy, translating organisational ambition into compelling propositions, high value relationships and sustainable income growth. 

Leading a small, committed and recently established team, the Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships will build on early successes to define future direction, strengthen capability, and scale income from major donors, trusts, foundations and corporate partners.  

This role offers a significant opportunity to shape and grow a developing function and play a pivotal part in enabling Yorkshire Cancer Research to deliver its ambitious growth plans and achieve its vision of a Yorkshire free from cancer.  

Specifically you will: 

• Lead and work in partnership with relevant Fundraising Managers to develop and deliver Yorkshire Cancer Research’ Philanthropy & Partnerships strategy to the charity’s mission, values and organisational strategy.

• Provide clear strategic leadership across all high value, aligned income streams, including: Philanthropy, Trusts and foundations, Corporate partnerships, Strategic and multi year funding partnerships

• Ensure the philanthropy and partnerships strategy aligns with, and complements, the public fundraising strategy, delivering a coherent overall income approach.

What are the responsibilities?

• Develop and manage strategic partnerships with local authorities, funders, voluntary sector organisations, and community stakeholders.
• Identify and secure new business development, funding, and partnership opportunities that support organisational growth and sustainability.
• Lead and coordinate funding bids, tenders, and partnership proposals in collaboration with the CEO and operational teams.
• Build strong relationships with funders, commissioners, partners, and local communities to strengthen collaboration and service impact.
• Represent the organisation at meetings, events, and regional networks, acting as an ambassador for the charity.
• Support organisational growth and strategic planning by providing updates on partnership activity, funding opportunities, and development progress.

What are the requirements?

This job is for you if you:

• Have experience in partnership management, business development, fundraising, or stakeholder engagement.
• Can build strong relationships and work collaboratively with funders, partners, community organisations, and stakeholders.
• Are confident identifying and developing new opportunities that support organisational growth and sustainability.
• Have excellent communication skills, including experience writing funding bids, tenders, or partnership proposals.
• Are organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively.
• Can work independently while contributing positively within a collaborative leadership team.

It would also be beneficial if you have knowledge of the charity, advice, or voluntary sector, experience working with commissioned services or partnerships, or an understanding of local government and funding environments.

A well-established housing provider in the North West is seeking an interim Head of Finance Business Partnering for an inital 6-month period with option of temp to permanent for the right candidate. The organisation has a strong focus on service delivery, financial control, and continuous improvement across its housing operations.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role combining team management, consolidation of management accounts, and strengthening of business partnering across the organisation. A key focus will also be driving improvements in financial systems and processes, including automation and better use of core finance systems.

 

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Finance Business Partnering team, providing direction, oversight, and support across key service areas
• Oversee and consolidate monthly management accounts, ensuring accurate, timely, and insightful reporting to the Finance Director and senior stakeholders
• Drive high-quality business partnering across the organisation, supporting operational teams with financial insight, challenge, and decision-making
• Support property-related finance activities as required (e.g. repairs, maintenance, capital spend)
• Identify and implement process improvements, with a focus on automation and efficiency across finance systems
• Build strong relationships across finance and operational teams, translating complex financial information into clear, actionable insight

 

Requirements:

• Qualified Accountant with proven experience operating at a senior finance level, ideally from a housing association background
• Strong understanding of management accounting, including consolidation, reporting, and performance analysis
• Demonstrable experience managing and developing finance teams, ideally within a business partnering model
• Experience within property or housing finance (e.g. repairs, maintenance, capital programmes) is highly desirable
• Strong systems expertise, with experience improving and automating finance processes
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge at senior levels
