Construction Youth Trust is an ambitious, impact-led organisation pushing the boundaries of how charities work in partnership with business to create social change. We are seeking a dynamic and motivated fundraising leader to join our Senior Leadership team as Head of Fundraising and Partnerships. A genuine passion for social mobility is essential, as well as a deep commitment to creating effective charity-industry partnerships that drive social impact. This is a key external facing role with responsibility for fostering strong partnerships with our funders and supporters.

The role
Construction Youth Trust is in a strong financial position with an excellent Fundraising & Partnership team, supported by well-established systems. We already have a strong pipeline in place to meet our fundraising targets (£2M - £2.5M p.a.) This is an opportunity for a Senior Fundraising Leader with the skills and experience to consolidate and build on this success. We are looking for someone with the drive and experience to help the Trust meet our ambition to significantly increase opportunity for disadvantaged young people within the build environment.
We are seeking a Head of Fundraising & Partnerships with a strong desire to play an active Senior Leadership role and contribute to the Trust’s wider strategy, governance and day-to-day charity management. There is the opportunity to play a significant role shaping and steering the Trust’s next business planning cycle. Ideally, the post-holder would be willing/able to deputise for the CEO and the salary offered to the successful candidate will be dependent on experience and level of responsibility. There is significant headroom at the Trust for a fundraising leader who is looking to take on a more strategic role within this dynamic charity, either immediately or with structured development and support.

The role
Young Scot is seeking a strategic, entrepreneurial and delivery-focused leader to help shape and drive a step-change in how we generate income and build partnerships.
This is a pivotal role at a defining moment for the organisation with the recent appointment of a new CEO, as well launching a new organisational strategic vision. Key details
Hours: Full-time: usual working hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00. Flexible working is possible.
Salary: £60,000 FTE per annum, plus 6% contributory pension scheme
Location: Hybrid (a mixture of home/onsite working): staff are working onsite for at least 20% of their working hours at our London site (4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH). There may be occasions where additional office attendance is required, depending on business needs.

About the Role
This role provides senior leadership for the Anti-Bullying Alliance (ABA) and the Schools Wellbeing Partnership (SWP), two specialist membership groups hosted by the National Children’s Bureau that support schools, organisations and government to improve children and young people’s experiences of bullying, wellbeing and belonging. The post is a 10 month maternity leave cover position, focused on maintaining continuity, stability and impact across established programmes, partnerships and campaigns.
The Anti-Bullying Alliance (ABA) is a UK wide membership network of over 300 organisations working together to prevent bullying and create safer environments for children and young people. It leads national activity such as Anti-Bullying Week and Odd Socks Day, develops evidence informed resources and training, and influences policy and practice at a national level.
The Schools Wellbeing Partnership (SWP) supports schools to embed whole school approaches to wellbeing and belonging through networks, tools and peer learning with school leaders and partners across England.
During the maternity cover period, the postholder will ensure the smooth delivery of core programmes and campaigns, including leadership of Anti-Bullying Week and Odd Socks Day planning, communications and partnerships. They will maintain relationships with members, funders, government, parliamentarians and high profile supporters, sustain policy engagement and external visibility, and support income generation activity already in progress. As Head of Partnerships & Income Development you will own the development and delivery of the SMF’s income generation strategy so that we can raise the funds and build the partnerships we need to meet our ambitions.
Location: Birmingham, Glasgow, Liverpool, London, Manchester or Newcastle. We operate a hybrid model of work i.e. a combination of in-person and remote, with flexible days in the office depending on business need and your preferences. We would typically expect in-office attendance an average of one day per week.
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: We are looking for the right candidate and while we envisage this being a full-time role (37.5 hours per week) we are open to flexible working arrangements such as part-time, compressed hours, flexitime and job-shares. Occasional/frequent evening or weekend work may be required, for which time off in lieu (TOIL) will be given.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Fundraising strategy and leadership
- Set and implement a robust income generation strategy to enable the SMF to achieve its strategic ambitions, setting targets, monitoring and reporting on income performance and supporting accurate forecasts and projections
- Lead a culture of excellent fundraising and relationship management across the SMF and ensure the right resources, systems and skills are in place to support all staff that hold funding relationships
- Represent the SMF externally with funders, partners and other stakeholders, seeking opportunities to increase our network and build our influence and reputation as an effective charity partner
- Work with the Head of Finance and Operations to ensure strong processes to support income generation including income forecasts, budgets and partnership reports and records
2. Corporate Partnerships
- Oversee the SMF’s portfolio of corporate partnerships including strategic partnerships and partnerships focused on enabling and enhancing our student programmes
- Manage individual high value corporate partnerships and ensure excellent stewardship of all our corporate partnerships
- Oversee the development of compelling cases for support and a robust new business pipeline for corporate partnerships
- Oversee our corporate volunteering offer including employee volunteering with our student programmes and skilled volunteering/pro bono support
3. Business development
- Oversee the delivery and development of the Social Mobility Employer Index
- Oversee the design and development of other products and services for employers through which the SMF can earn income and influence workplace social mobility
4. Trusts and foundations
- Oversee the SMF’s relationships with trusts and foundations, building a strong long-term funding pipeline
- Build and manage relationships with key trusts and foundations
5. Philanthropy and individual giving
- Oversee the development of our supporter community and opportunities for individual giving and fundraising through challenge events
- Identify opportunities to build philanthropic relationships with individual donors and supporters
6. Leadership and management
- Manage, motivate and develop the team, setting team and individual goals and evaluating performance, coaching and motivating staff and supporting professional development and staff wellbeing
- Lead across the organisation, fostering a collaborative and high performance culture and modelling the SMF’s leadership behaviours

- Most of our work is office based, but you will spend a lot of time collaborating with other teams and clients via email, telephone and other communications channels such as Teams or Zoom.

About the Role
As Head of Partnerships and Fundraising, you will lead the development and delivery of an ambitious income generation and partnership strategy for the National Landscapes Association. This is a pivotal senior role, focused on securing and growing diverse funding streams, including corporate partnerships, philanthropy, grants and strategic collaborations to support the long-term resilience of the organisation and the wider National Landscapes network.
