The Role
As an Operations Officer, you will report to the Area Safety and Facilities Manager. You will take the lead in managing the day-to-day operations of the Yorkshire Cancer Research Centre in Harrogate. You will also play a vital role in ensuring our wider estate—including retail spaces and our new warehouse—remains safe, compliant, and fully operational.
In this pivotal role, you will be the go-to person for keeping our buildings running smoothly. From coordinating maintenance and resolving issues, to managing compliance through the EVERY system, centralised ordering, and waste contracts—you will make sure our people have everything they need to do their best work.
Specifically, you will:
Hornbeam Centre Compliance and Building Management across all premises including retail shops and warehouses
· Liaise with contractors to ensure that they are delivering their expected obligations in line with their service level agreements/contracts.
· Manage the keyholder process to ensure that keys for the property across the estate are well controlled and managed.
· Be the first point of contact for any snagging or building issues with the Yorkshire Cancer Research Centre, booking contractors to ensure both a quick and cost-controlled resolution.
· Ensure that all weekly and monthly checks are successfully delegated in the event of your planned absence to ensure that there are no gaps in the records.
· Check and administer the building DEFIB.
· Ensure that the Centre is clean, tidy and free of Health & Safety risks, promptly addressing or reporting any concerns to the appropriate person whether that be internal or external.
Supporting Estate Building Compliance
· Complete and record Fire Alarm tests on a weekly basis.
· Ensure that all compliance documentation, as directed by the Area Safety and Compliance Manager, is appropriately filed and would be readily available, if required, for audit purposes.
· Monitor EVERY for all properties across the estate and be the first point of escalation for non-compliance to completing actions in the right timescales.
· Ensure that all annual services are proactively booked in for every property across the estate including, but not limited to, fire alarm servicing, legionella testing.
Centre Support
· Ensure that amenities within the Centre are in good working order, and repairs are carried out in a timely manner so that all colleagues are be able to successfully carry out their own roles and that the Centre is a suitable environment in which to do so.
Health and Safety Record Keeping
· Ensure that all compliance documentation, as directed by the Area Safety and Compliance Manager, is appropriately filed and would be readily available, if required, for audit purposes.
Administration of the Vehicle Fleet
· Proactively manage the administration of the charity’s vehicles, including but not limited to, pool cars and delivery/support vans.
· Book services and MOTs and adhoc repairs/work as required.
· Responsible for monitoring and managing the renewal checks of driving licences.
Centralisation of processes
· Support with the raising and approval of purchase orders and creating orders from suppliers, as required, by the Operations and eCommerce Team in a timely manner
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:
· To be ideally educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
· Previous experience of working in a Facilities role with a good understanding of the requirements of this role and H&S responsibilities.
· To have a basic understanding of Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
· To have proven experience in facilities management and administration.
· To have good communication skills and proven experience of engaging with internal and external stakeholders, addressing queries and offering practical solutions.
· To be extremely organised and able to prioritise a diverse workload and meet deadlines.
· To be able to follow procedures in emergencies: be proactive, with the ability to react to evolving situations and be led by management and other colleagues.

The Role
Reporting to the Head of Cancer Insight and working closely with both internal colleagues and external partners, you will play a key role in identifying emerging strategic opportunities. You will oversee a portfolio of initiatives that support the charity’s mission and objectives, guiding each project from early concept through to final delivery. For initiatives that demonstrate successful outcomes, you will be responsible for generating robust evidence to support their progression into broader research programmes or service implementation.
Specifically, you will:
Insight and Innovation
· Work closely with other teams in the charity, as well as external partners, to make use of identified gaps in knowledge or service provision and propose innovative solutions.
· Support horizon scanning of sources of information such as academic literature, policy recommendations and clinical trial portfolios to identify emerging trends and opportunities for cancer research, one-off projects and new services, with a focus on issues affecting Yorkshire.
· Identify potential opportunities for collaboration with external partners with shared strategic ambitions.
Strategic focus and prioritisation
· Support the development of a strategic development plan that defines goals in the short, medium, and long-term.
· Work with the wider Cancer Insight Team to present the potential future impact of projects and provide information to support strategic prioritisation via a new strategic prioritisation framework.
Project Management
· Manage the design, planning, and execution of new strategic projects aligned with the charity’s overall strategic goals and objectives.
· Develop clear project scopes, objectives, timelines, and success metrics.
· Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
Stakeholder Engagement
· Build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams and external organisations. This may include, but is not limited to, academic partners, NHS stakeholders, private sector service providers, pharmaceutical industry partners and other external organisations such as other health organisations, funding bodies and charities.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- To have a degree in a relevant subject such as public health, health sciences, biomedical sciences, health policy, or a related field.
- To have a proven track record of delivering strategic or innovation projects in a healthcare, research or charity setting is essential.
- To have experience in identifying new opportunities aligned with strategic objectives.

About the opportunity
As an Event Content Manager, you will conduct exciting public policy research, work with the most senior speakers from across government, business, universities and civil society speaker management, and create engaging content.
You would take ownership of a portfolio of 40+ briefings, roundtables, workshops and senior level dinners per year across themes impacting economic growth and prosperity including: infrastructure, skills, net zero, AI and new technology, trade, and regulation.
Your mandate is to deliver high-quality, high-impact events, where you will be required to research key policy and economic trends affecting government, business and society, owning the full production life cycle from policy research and agenda setting to speaker acquisition and management etc. You will also collaborate with the marketing and membership functions to ensure that our policy focus for your events programme aligns with membership needs and shifting priorities.
This role is critical to our membership offer – all our events are highly respected and supported by the organisations membership base and will require a strategic thinker who can ensure that the right policy research is carried out to inform event idea validation. The role will be supported by the Event Operations team who will drive on-the-day logistics.
Responsibilities
Event content development
- Lead the content development and planning of your events programme across our themes, this includes:
- Build compelling agendas
- Craft key event outcomes
- Curate engaging and thoughtful speaker briefings
- Identify and acquire credible, expert speakers
- Identify and draw in relevant audiences
- Conduct research on key policy and economic trends affecting sectors across our membership base including market and policy trend analysis, collecting feedback from our members including stakeholder interviews and surveying to inform your event programme.
- Lead the collaboration across internal teams to recommend and develop effective marketing and communication materials to promote the events programme such as landing pages, eNewsletter segments, and promotional campaigns, taking ownership of all event programme deliverables under your remit.
High-impact delivery
- Take an outcome-based approach to your events programme; looking with a strategic lens to determine what the optimal events format, venue, and host would be to drive high-level dialogue among cross-sector leaders.
- Design, develop and deliver event content that you will be able to use to generate insightful event write-ups and summaries so we can continue to add tangible value to our members and their sector challenges.
- Immerse yourself in the sectors by networking with key industry figureheads and build an in-depth understanding of how our themes can drive collaboration across our members.
- Oversee and liaise with the Event Operations assistant allocated to your event and/or programme to ensure smooth event delivery.
Innovation, continuous improvement and collaboration
- Evaluate and report on content impact and delivery against event outcomes to inform future production cycles and increase audience engagement and satisfaction.
- Contribute proactively to programme strategy, using evidence-based research to expand your events programme and/or enhance your event content strategy.
- Collaborate with Business Development team members to optimise member outreach and engagement, leveraging our CRM database to increase our speaker and host portfolio.
- Demonstrate creativity and innovation when developing and delivering our annual paid events under your remit, exploring and recommending different commercial opportunities such as barter agreements, sponsorships or partnerships with our members
- Work with the Head of Content and Events to build out a framework for content reports and publications as part of WIGs 5-year strategy.

- Experience working directly with senior executives - understanding their motivators, contextualising their expertise and building meaningful relationships on behalf of a brand/organisation.
- Demonstrable strategic portfolio development and/or new event/content idea validation across one or more: International relations, politics, political economy, finance, economics or technology.
- Clear passion for content development, implementing new content strategies to drive audience engagement and interaction and enhance brand awareness and value

We have an opportunity for a Public Affairs Manager to join our team and help shape and carry out the Royal British Legions public affairs activities in Northern Ireland.
In this newly created role, you will develop and implement RBLs public/external affairs activities in Northern Ireland at both the national and local level. You will advise colleagues on political developments of importance to RBL’s operations in Northern Ireland, manage relationships with external stakeholders and aid in the establishment of a supporter network in Northern Ireland.

RBLs Campaigns, Policy, and Research (CPR) team raise the profile of issues affecting the Armed Forces community, and work to influence politicians, officials, and the wider sector, to improve policy and service delivery to address these issues. This new role will see you as a key part of this vital team working across the RBL group.

As Digital Project Manager, your core responsibilities will include:

The Senior Executive Assistant will play a pivotal role in the Chief Executive’s Office, working closely with the Deputy Chief Executive and members of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to ensure the smooth and effective execution of strategic, operational, and governance priorities. Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
Executive Support

· Proactively coordinate complex diaries, internal and external meetings, and briefings, ensuring effective time management and optimal scheduling across teams and stakeholders.

· Ensure the smooth delivery of these meetings by preparing documentation, recording actions, and driving follow-through with relevant stakeholders.
· Support cross-organisational strategic initiatives, such as ARUK’s Stakeholder Engagement programme and other priority activities led by the Deputy Chief Executive.
· Proactively use ARUK’s CRM system (Salesforce) to support relationship management and strategic engagement by Executive Directors.
· Assist in the planning and delivery of internal communications activities and events that build alignment and engagement across the organisation to include the annual Fundraising and Marketing away day and monthly Fundraising and Marketing meeting.
· Take on discrete projects on behalf of the Deputy Chief Executive

· Act as a senior member of the Executive Support team, sharing best practices and supporting colleagues with guidance, training, and mentoring where appropriate and deputising for the Executive Support Manager where appropriate
· Contribute to process improvement initiatives that increase the efficiency and impact of the Chief Executive’s Office.

Main purpose of the role:
This is a new role working within Battersea’s Income Generation department to develop and deliver the campaign plan for a £4-6million pound capital fundraising appeal.
One of the key pillars of Battersea’s current strategy is to ensure that we continue to provide expert care for all the dogs and cats that come through our gates. One of the ways in which we do this is by investing in our facilities to ensure that they continue to meet the changing needs of the animals we care for. This fundraising campaign will help to achieve that aim.
You will work with teams across Battersea to develop a comprehensive plan for the campaign and co-ordinate the work of multiple specialist teams to deliver the campaign on a day-to-day basis. You will also be responsible for developing a clear governance structure for the campaign, and ensuring all stakeholders are kept informed of progress. You will also oversee and track progress of a series of internal process improvements that support the running of the campaign.

About the HR Lead role
As Norfolk Rivers Trust’s first dedicated HR professional, the HR Lead will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing effective people practices that align with the organisation’s culture, values, and strategic objectives. - Produce HR data and reports (e.g. staff turnover, absence, diversity data) to feed into the management team and use data to make recommendations regarding future practice.
- Use HR data to identify trends and make recommendations for improving people management practices.
Strategic HR Support
- Participate in the implementation of specific projects, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the organisation (e.g. workforce planning, reward, and staff engagement).
- Promote and drive delivery of the Trust’s equity, diversity, and inclusion priorities, through advice monitoring and collaboration.
- Work with Senior Management Team to contribute to and drive HR strategy development and implementation, including reward strategy, recruitment and selection strategies, talent and succession planning, alignment between HR strategy and business goals, supporting change management processes.
Health, Safety and Wellbeing
- Collaborate with designated health and safety leads to develop and implement systems and procedures to create a safe working environment, drawing on specialist advice as appropriate.
- Ensure HR-related policies and processes reflect the organisation’s duty of care to staff, including wellbeing initiatives and support systems.
