About the role and Wen’s Climate Sisters Programme
The Climate Sisters project aims to make systemic change by amplifying underrepresented marginalised and racialised women's voices in climate justice debates and in the transition to a low-carbon economy. The 5 year project aims to engage women in Glasgow and Edinburgh (across the central belt of Scotland) through a participatory climate leadership programme.
The project involves two phases. Phase One is a 10 week Feminist Climate Leadership workshop programme where groups of women collectively explore their priorities for climate justice at individual, local, regional, national and international levels. Phase Two involves participants developing creative projects to showcase the ideas and solutions from the combined cohort from the Phase One programme, working collaboratively with regular support sessions. The aim of this programme is to amplify and centre the voices of the underrepresented and marginalised women specifically in the climate arena. The approach to this will be underpinned by values that challenge patriarchy, colonialism and white supremacy, ableism and uphold care, collectivity, collaboration and non-competitive sisterhood.
The Climate Sisters Programme Manager will lead and manage this programme working closely with community partners and participants to deliver and inspire a participatory, impactful and co-produced project. The Climate Sisters Programme Manager will manage, supervise and motivate the Climate Sisters Project Coordinator.

About the role
At EngineeringUK we use evidence to make a real difference. Through research insight and robust evaluation, we work to improve the impact of our own work, as well as that of other organisations in our sector. Our aim is to make a positive difference to young people’s lives and securing the diverse engineering and technology workforce the UK needs to thrive. The research and evaluation team consists of 6 researchers and analysts who work to provide these insights.
This is an exciting opportunity to deliver and develop our evaluation projects, to help build an evidence-base for engineering and technology outreach activities and to shape how we use this evidence to inform our own and others’ practice.
With support from the Head of Evaluation and Impact, you will be the operational lead on our evaluations, with responsibility for:
- critically assessing the evidence required to ascertain impact of engineering and technology outreach activities across a complex landscape, with an emphasis on groups historically underrepresented in the engineering and technology professions
- designing and managing the evaluation of our educational programmes, including the practicalities and logistics of collecting/analysing these data, and reporting findings to internal and external stakeholders
- working with colleagues to embed learning from evaluation findings into our future activities and the wider evidence base on the impact of engineering outreach activity
- developing advice and guidance on evaluation and impact measurement to support the engineering outreach community to evaluate their activity more robustly.
This job would ideally suit an experienced monitoring and evaluation professional interested in evaluating education programmes with a focus on increasing opportunities for young people from underrepresented groups.

- Knowledge of and experience in using evaluation techniques/practices, ideally with familiarity of education outreach programmes
- Ability to design and use quantitative and qualitative data collection tools and analyse these data using widely used analysis software (for example, SPSS, STATA, R, CAQDAS)
- Experience in undertaking literature searches and reviews, identifying relevant evidence, appraising its quality, and summarising the body of existing work

The Forest of Avon is one of England’s Community Forests and a registered charity and company limited by guarantee. The Forest of Avon was established in 1992 as one of the first England’s Community Forests and became a charity in 2008. The Forest of Avon hosts several programmes including the multi-million pound Trees for Climate and the Western Forest, delivering woodland creation and restoration across the region as well as our expert-led Nature and Health work. The Head of Finance (HoF) is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the Forest of Avon Trust which now includes Western Forest, England’s first new national forest in 30 years covering Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and the West of England (including North Somerset).
Our new HoF will manage the charity’s financial systems, preparing accounts, supporting audits, reporting to the Board of Trustees and overseeing and reporting on the financial elements of key programmes such as the Trees for Climate grant scheme and the Western Forest. Some key duties of the role include (but are not limited to):
- Prepare the annual accounts and financial statements in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will have/be:

- Experience with grant management, including financial administration, claims processing, and reporting in relation to large-scale funding programmes.

The Centre for Ageing Better launched the first ever campaign focusing on ageism in January 2024.
Ageism is the most widespread form of discrimination in the UK. And it will impact us all at some point, particularly as we get older. Ageism affects how society sees older people: they’re often reduced to offensive stereotypes, patronised, or treated as a burden. And it even affects how we see ourselves. As the years progress, we start to believe what we read, see and hear, and come to think that we’re ‘past it’.
The Head of Ageism Campaign plays a key role in a small team responsible for planning and delivering a nationwide public-facing campaign to bring an end to ageism in England. The public-facing campaign is one strand of a wider ‘age-friendly’ social movement aimed to make people think, feel and act differently about ageing, which will work on a number of levels and with a range of different audiences.
The postholder will jointly manage a creative agency to deliver the final year of our mass marketing campaign, ‘always on’ activity, and a moment of collective action for our warm audiences and ambassadors for the campaign.
As well as delivering year three of our campaign, this role will have a focus on analysing and understanding the impact of the campaign on public attitudes and behaviour change and communicating findings to key internal and external audiences. A key part of the campaign strategy has been to understand the efficacy of public-facing campaigns in changing attitudes to ageing older people - something that is missing from the global evidence base. The role will work closely with our evaluation partners to produce analysis and insights in different formats, as required, and present them to internal and external stakeholders.

You are a passionate and committed campaigner, determined to create societal change.
You will have excellent experience in campaigning techniques and communications, with first class writing skills. You will understand how to influence the public and move people along a behaviour/attitude change journey and experience of managing large-scale behaviour change campaigns, reporting to senior internal and external stakeholders.

As the Head of Philanthropy, you will inherit a successful philanthropy area of fundraising for the organisation and will devise and implement a comprehensive strategy to build income from individuals across the full suite of structured giving schemes. You will personally scope and secure new major gifts from individuals and lead the organisation’s approach to alumni fundraising, working collaboratively with the Alumni team to appropriate engage programme beneficiaries. The Head of Philanthropy will also be responsible for relationships with Board members, Fellows, alumni donors and legacies.
To be successful as the Head of Philanthropy will be an experienced manager and fundraiser, confident in securing new business through active prospecting and networking and ingrained knowledge of how to secure and steward HNWIs. This will ideally have been done at the six-figures-plus level and you will have significant experience networking to build and manage relationships that lead to major gifts.
This role is a full-time permanent position that will have hybrid working in the London offices for at least two days per week. The salary for this role is £56,000 to £68,000.

About the role and Wen’s Climate Sisters Programme
The Climate Sisters project aims to make systemic change by amplifying underrepresented marginalised and racialised women's voices in climate justice debates and in the transition to a low-carbon economy. The 5 year project aims to engage women in Manchester and the North West through a participatory climate leadership programme. The project involves two phases. Phase One is a 10 week Feminist Climate Leadership workshop programme where groups of women collectively explore their priorities for climate justice at individual, local, regional, national and international levels. Phase Two involves participants developing creative projects to showcase the ideas and solutions from the combined cohort from the Phase One programme, working collaboratively with regular support sessions. The aim of this programme is to amplify and centre the voices of the underrepresented and marginalised women specifically in the climate arena. The approach to this will be underpinned by values that challenge patriarchy, colonialism and white supremacy, ableism and uphold care, collectivity, collaboration and non-competitive sisterhood.
The Climate Sisters Programme Manager will lead and manage this programme working closely with community partners and participants to deliver and inspire a participatory, impactful and co-produced project. The Climate Sisters Programme Manager will manage, supervise and motivate the Climate Sisters Project Coordinator.

The postholder will jointly manage a creative agency to deliver the final year of our mass marketing campaign, ‘always on’ activity, and a moment of collective action for our warm audiences and ambassadors for the campaign.
As well as delivering the campaign, this role will take a lead on working with creative industries across media, advertising and PR to help shape the way older people are represented. This builds on Ageing Better’s evidence base and significant interest and momentum generated by the campaign in its first two years. The role will be required to proactively reach out and develop relationships with key organisations and industry leaders. Areas it will cover include:
- Working with industry bodies to strengthen regulations and guidance around ageism and the representation of older people
- Presenting to organisations and professional networks to raise awareness of how industries are perpetuating ageist stereotypes and making a compelling case for changing culture and practice
- Working closely with our Age-friendly Employer Pledge team to encourage uptake of our pledge amongst these key industries.
About you
You are a passionate and committed campaigner, determined to create societal change.
You will have excellent experience in campaigning techniques and communications, with first class writing skills. You will understand how to influence the public and move people along a behaviour/attitude change journey.
You will have experience of influencing the culture and practice of different industries, working with professional leaders and/or bodies. You will preferably have experience of working within media, advertising or PR and bring contacts and an inside understanding of the best ways to engage and collaborate with that industry.
You will be comfortable working across the full marcomms mix and using different channels and platforms to reach audiences.
You will have great project management skills and will love keeping a project on track.
