Working across all High Trees services and our partnerships, you will need to be confident across a range of approaches to monitoring and evaluation and be able to assess and determine appropriate methods, dependent on context. You will be proficient in collecting and analysing quantitative and qualitative data and have experience in developing impact frameworks, including theory of change, outcomes, and indicators. As the Evaluation and Impact Lead, you will have oversight of monitoring systems and processes ensuring that impact data collected is to a high standard across the organisation and our partnerships.

Collaboration with colleagues is an essential part of this role and you will enjoy working with others and be a valued partner, peer and colleague. Supporting the Head of Community Research and Impact, you will actively contribute to ensuring our impact plan is effectively embedded within key strategic areas. You will need to be highly responsive to the needs of colleagues, partners and funders, and be able to provide practical solutions for a range of situations.

You will also be an outstanding communicator: experienced in facilitation, an engaging presenter, and a compelling writer, able to frame and share our impact with a range of audiences. You will have the ability to see the bigger picture, while at the same time being on top of the detail.

Purpose of the Role

This exciting new role is about creating connections, building ecosystems and developing and strengthening relationships that power social justice movements. Role Purpose

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the voice and public profile of one of the UK’s most impactful social justice charities. As Head of Communications, you’ll lead our communications function at a strategic level, inspiring and influencing how we share our story with the world. Key Responsibilities

• You will provide strategic leadership for all communications activity across the charity, working closely with colleagues to develop and deliver multidisciplinary communications plans that support corporate objectives. You will be responsible for evaluating communications performance, reporting against KPIs, and using data to drive improvement. You’ll play a key role in horizon-scanning and forward planning, ensuring our messaging is proactive and responsive to external developments.

• You’ll oversee all of Pact’s digital platforms, including our social media channels and websites, as well as those for the Prisoners’ Families Helpline. • Marketing and branding will be central to your remit. You’ll lead the development of high-quality, accessible and inclusive marketing materials and publications that inspire and inform stakeholders, staff, volunteers and service users. You’ll ensure the organisation maintains a strong and coherent visual and written identity, and you’ll manage a library of media assets and case studies that bring our work to life. You will also offer trusted support and guidance to colleagues and volunteers promoting Pact’s services locally.

• A core part of the role will involve amplifying the voices of people with lived experience. You’ll oversee the regular generation of powerful case studies and service user stories to be shared across internal and external channels, always ensuring ethical and inclusive storytelling.

• You’ll also contribute to the planning and promotion of key organisational events, including staff and volunteer gatherings, stakeholder roundtables and receptions.

• Ultimately, you will be the guardian of the Pact brand and the leader of our communications culture – someone who empowers others, inspires creativity, and champions clear, compassionate communication at every level.

Person Specification

• You will have significant experience in a senior communications, PR or marketing leadership role, with a proven ability to develop and evaluate impactful strategies. You’ll be an exceptional communicator with a keen eye for storytelling and audience engagement, and you’ll have experience managing digital platforms and growing audiences through content innovation.

• Strong leadership and team management skills are essential, as is a collaborative, facilitative approach that brings out the best in others. You’ll need to be a confident relationship-builder, able to influence at senior levels and build trust with stakeholders, media, and partners.

• Ideally, you will bring experience or understanding of the voluntary, criminal justice or social justice sectors. We’re looking to recruit a Head of Policy to lead our Climate team and help achieve a new ambitious 3-year strategy to bring nature back from the brink by delivering a sustainable future in the UK and stopping deforestation overseas. The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation is the international charity that drives and encourages the Award’s growth, access and impact across the globe. Working in partnership with organisations and governing bodies, we oversee the licensing of Award operators – including schools, youth groups, employers and custodial institutions.

Key Responsibilities
Recruitment of donors

• Identify, vet, select and approach suitable donors at all levels, working in close collaboration with the Chair of World Fellowship, and other key ‘introducers’ .
• Promote and grow the Foundation’s Legacy fundraising programme, identifying and planning approaches to prospective legacy donors and supporting approaches to third party introducers.
• Develop and recruit lapsed donors to the World Fellowship.
• Write and submit proposals to donors to secure gifts.

Donor relationships

• Develop and deliver the Foundation’s ‘Fellowship’ programme; meeting the needs of different levels of engagement and promoting progression through different donor levels.
• Develop and maintain a robust framework for management of donor relationships
• Conduct and review due diligence of prospective and existing supporters.
• Undertake any other duties as required to support the successful delivery of Fundraising and Foundation objectives.

Project Management

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, qualified Finance professional to lead our Finance & Operations function.

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer the Interim Head of Finance & Operations leads on and assumes day to day responsibility for providing high quality, strategic financial management for Career Ready.

You will lead on business operations to ensure the ongoing effective functioning of the charity and drive sustainable growth.

The Interim Head of Finance and Operations plays a key role in leading greater organisational efficiency and simplifying processes and will continue the delivery of a project plan reflecting the 2025-30 strategy.

You will play a critical role in driving the increased quality of Career Ready’s offer to our stakeholders in line with our strategy, vision and values.

Member of our SMT, comprising of the CEO, Director for Scotland, Director of Programme and Partnerships and Heads of functions.

This is an interim role to cover a period of maternity leave.

Main responsibilities and accountabilities

· Lead, direct and manage the finance and operations functions, overseeing two direct reports, ensuring they deliver a high-quality service to all internal and external stakeholders and are seen as adding value, in enabling Career Ready to achieve its vision and strategic objectives through its people. 

· Continue the delivery of a project plan reflecting the 2025-30 strategy, ensuring that activities happen at pace, are deadline-driven and achieve a high level of impact.

· Assume overall responsibility for the financial management of Career Ready, working with the SMT to ensure high quality and effective use of charitable funds.

· Input into and review the financial elements of funding applications and ensure that fund accounting processes align with funders’ requirements for project reporting.

· Produce financial reports for various stakeholders, as well as leading on financial modelling.

· Have oversight of all financial and accountancy matters including month end reports, management accounts, cash flow management, compliance, tax liability, presentation of management information and KPIs. Ensure that the CEO and Trustees are provided with accurate, timely information and analysis. 

· Oversee and coordinate the fully managed payroll services with the external bureau for all Career Ready employees and for some internship students (Jun to Aug during the Summer)

· Administration of the Staff Opt-In Pension Scheme, including onboarding new staff (Royal London)

· Act as a role model in our ‘one team’ culture. Lead in the development of efficient working practices across the charity, creating momentum and supporting motivation within the charity. 

· Lead risk management strategies and internal control procedures to minimise the risk of loss, or damage to, Career Ready’s assets. 

· Prepare and submit annual operational budgets and annual accounts to the CEO for review and approval.

· Draft and deliver papers for Trustees and Finance and Fundraising Committee (F&FC) meetings. 

· Attend Board and F&FC meetings to present papers and answer questions related to areas of expertise. 

· Provide day to day line management of the Senior Finance Officers and support their ongoing growth and development.

· Management of organisational governance and compliance activities, including policy management.

· Oversee and manage the organisation’s risk management register and process, with input from SMT.

· Oversee reviews and renewals of all insurance policies that affect the organisation.

· Lead on the compliance of statutory and charity regulatory reporting, giving guidance to colleagues where required.

· Ensure any changes to processes and procedures across the function are clearly documented.

Person Specification

Essential skills and experience

• Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/AAT) accountant with at least 5 years’ experience in financial management including budgeting, preferably in the charity sector.

Salary and Benefits

The post holder will work closely with the Head of Education and Development to support the delivery of BASHH’s broad programme of education and training. They will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the STI Foundation and will provide executive support for the STI Foundation Steering Group and BASHH’s Education Committee.

They will also support the BASHH membership function to ensure that BASHH meets the changing needs of our members and drives forward the agenda for better sexual health and HIV care for all.
