Duties and key responsibilities 
• Support the Head of Institutional Funding in the development and delivery of an 
institutional funding strategy. 
• Identify, prospect and approach institutional donors to secure funds, maintain 
successful working relationships with a portfolio of institutional donors, utilise the client 
relationship management tool and knowledge management processes. 
• Lead the development of high-quality proposals, coordinate input from other teams, 
including proposal writing, budget planning and impact measurement.

• Research, identify and engage with possible institutional donors including conducting

Business development 
• Support teams in designing quality proposals, including theory of change, logical 
frameworks, narratives, and budgets, in collaboration with programmes, senior

• Identify funding and collaboration opportunities aligned with MAP’s programme plans. 
• Conduct regular research and networking to track institutional donor opportunities. 
• Manage relationships with institutional donors, keeping them informed of MAP’s 
programmes. 
• Lead the review of award agreements and donor contract negotiations, ensuring due 
diligence is completed. 

Grant management 
• Provide compliance guidance on new agreements, including tools, training and ongoing 
advice on donor requirements. 
• Support teams to ensure all grants meet contractual obligations throughout the project 
cycle. 
• Ensure timely, relevant communication with institutional donors. 
• Incorporate learnings into new proposals with input from MEAL and programme 
colleagues. 
• Provide oversight and support to implementation teams to ensure MAP manages all IF 
grants in line with contractual obligations throughout the project cycle. 

General Management 
• Report against agreed KPIs, financial targets and annual objectives as part of regular oneto-one meetings with the Head of Institutional Funding. 
• Regular coordination with Fundraising and ACT colleagues for efficient development of 
core donor engagement materials. 
• Travel to implementation locations as needed for donor engagement, proposal design 
and delivery of internal capacity building.

Person Specification 
Experience / Knowledge 
• Experience of securing and supporting large grants from institutional donors including 
governments, charity partners and UN organisations. 
• Experience of conducting research into funding opportunities including assessing against 
organisational programming and funding priorities, collating, summarising, and 
disseminating information gathered to relevant colleagues and ensuring clear next steps.
• Experience of coordination of the development of quality proposals and significant 
proposal writing experience, including developing logframes and budgets.

South Gloucestershire supporting children, young people, and families who have experienced 
sexual abuse.

Purpose of the job

The Green House’s VOICE change-making project aims to support young survivors and their family members to lead social change through creativity. Together, we aim to break the silence and create systemic change around child sexual abuse. Our approach recognises the inherent strengths and possibility of all young people. We develop creative spaces where young people can connect with their community, grow beyond traumatic experiences and learn to lead services like ours, alongside national social change. We see creative change-making and connecting those with lived experience together as imperative to healing. It is the hope for change that helps young people and their families to learn to live a whole life alongside traumatic experiences and step into their potential.

The VOICE Project has two workstreams: Young People’s VOICE and Parent/Carer VOICE. We work with young people to deliver a creative arts leadership programme (6 weekly group), alongside creative drop-in spaces, individual projects and paid-for mentorship opportunities. We work with our Parent/Carer VOICE group to deliver monthly group sessions, parent-led drop-in spaces and individual projects. The VOICE Project also leads our national child sexual abuse (CSA) practitioner network.

This is an exciting time to join the Green House VOICE Project, we have just secured national funding for the first time and are looking for a Senior VOICE Practitioner to lead development and expansion of the programme.

Duties and responsibilities

1. Lead on delivery of the Young People’s VOICE Groups (6 weekly), working with the VOICE Practitioner to support young people to develop group/individual projects and campaigns within each group cycle.

2. Lead on the development of the Parent/Carer VOICE group, co-producing with Parents/Carers and the Senior Leadership Team a new approach to the (currently) monthly programme.

3. Collaborate with the Family Support Team and Therapy Team to deliver regular drop-in spaces for Parents/Carers (“Turn-Up Tuesdays”) and Nature-Based Therapy drop-in spaces (“NBT Drop In”).

4. Lead on the delivery and expansion of CSA Practitioner network for wider professionals, creating opportunities to connect young people’s groups together nationally.

5. Work with the Head of Fundraising and Trustee Board to develop and deliver a quarterly co-production group of young people and parents who can support operational delivery/development of the Green House.

6. Lead on the development of a theory of change for the VOICE Project, working with the VOICE Practitioner, young people, parents/carers and SLT.

7. Work with the Research Manager and VOICE Practitioner to develop our approach to outcome monitoring and evaluation of the VOICE Project.

8. Lead on project management of the VOICE Project, including weekly team meetings, project plans, annual revision of associated documentation e.g., manuals, session plans. Working collaboratively with and taking responsibility for line management of the VOICE Practitioner.

9. Coordinate on VOICE young people led activism campaigns, working with the Communications Officer and Head of Fundraising and Communications towards the delivery of two campaigns per year.

10. Conduct Initial Meetings for young people and parent/carer’s looking to join the VOICE Project – supporting the wider TGH team with recruitment reminders/approaches e.g., attending Family Support/Therapy Team meetings (where appropriate).

11. Develop relationships with our local and national partners to enable effective changemaking for young people and parents/carers.

12. Assess risk and report safeguarding concerns in line with the Green House Policies, main up-to-date safeguarding training, and stay informed on relevant legislation about child sexual abuse and procedures.

13. Maintain accurate, confidential records of all sessions and family contacts, ensuring timely documentation using internal systems e.g., Oasis. 14. Support wider Green House service development, participate in supervision, clinical supervision and training, adhere to Green House policies, and contribute to team communication and operational improvements.

Job description

Job Purpose

To manage and develop the home from hospital settle service in the hospitals that you are responsible for, to support timely and successful patient discharges from hospital and prevent re-admissions.  You will work in collaboration with hospital teams and community teams to lead and manage your team to support the smooth transition from hospital to home for service users.  The service works with people for time limited support (usually up to 6 weeks) to adjust and settle back in their homes, and to prevent readmission into hospital. 

Key Tasks

• Work in partnership with the hospitals and other health and social care professionals to coordinate safe and timely discharges for referred clients.  This involves attending meetings with hospital personnel including Discharge Co-ordinators and Ward Managers to discuss discharges and plan who and how individuals will be supported as appropriate. 
• Manage a team working across two hospitals and ensuring the service is available between the contracted hours.
• Work collaboratively with other agencies providing support services.
• Conduct initial assessments of people referred to the services as necessary.
• Plan and develop person centred interventions to provide short term support for people after hospital discharge.
• Work with GPs as appropriate in identifying and supporting patients to reduce unnecessary hospital admissions.
• Work with people with a range of needs, dealing with issues ranging from social isolation and keeping people engaged in their community, to preventing unnecessary admission to hospital.
• Support the hospitals with delayed transfer of care (DTOC).
• Coordinate and monitor the caseload of referrals allocated to team members to ensure a fair and manageable distribution of work.
• Rota planning to ensure staff flexibility and availability, enabling planned rosters that best suit both hospital and patient needs.
• Develop your team which includes; supervision, appraisal, planning of continued professional development opportunities and training needs.
• Conduct regular management audits to ensure a consistent way of working and identify development and training needs in the team or individual.
• Develop and deliver a flexible service that can respond to peaks and troughs in demand.
• Ensure the service is meeting key performance indicators, and identify any concerns e.g. demand for the service exceeding the levels in the contract and taking proactive action to address this.
• Monitor performance of the services against KPIs and produce reports to demonstrate performance.
• Deliver front-line services when needed, e.g. sickness or staff shortages.  This is by exception rather than you regularly doing support work.
• Manage the budget, sign-off expenses, and ensure the project is delivered to budget, liaising with the Finance Department as necessary.
• Support the directorate with generating funding e.g. being actively involved in consultation of possible projects, providing activity data, opportunity spotting, and/or supporting the production of tenders.
• Occasionally provide weekend on call cover for the services you manage, and other hospital settle services provided by AUKEL.

Administration

• Lead on contract reporting, this includes quarterly annual and ad hoc reports
• Carry out annual customer service surveys.
• Maintain electronic records of referrals and interventions to assess service impact, support local improvements, and report on KPIs
• Meet and produce reports as required by the Head of Service.
• Ensure patient records are regularly updated through AUKEL database, and support staff to complete their administration via training etc.
• Work with the Communications team and the Head of Service, market and promote the service.
• Build and circulate a resource pack for the wider AUKEL team to generate referrals between services delivered by the charity.

 Quality

• Be familiar with and implement AUKEL policies and procedures.
• Ensure the service is delivered in accordance with Care Quality Commission principles.
• Ensure a cycle of continuous improvement by taking a “lessons learnt” review approach.
• Ensure that the requirements of the contract specification for the services are met.
• Ensure integration with other AUKEL projects, and service users are referred/sign-posted to appropriate support services available to them.
• Respond to safeguarding or other concerns and take appropriate reporting and management action.
• Lead on recruitment of staff for your team, and support others at AUKEL.

 Liaison

• Represent AUKEL and participate in appropriate external meetings and events and remain aware of local, regional and national issues affecting AUKEL clients.
• Develop external relationships with stakeholders, and build positive connections with health and social care partners
• Attend contract management meetings with commissioners alongside the Head of Hospital and Home Services.

General

• Meet regularly with line manager for support, supervision and appraisal.

Prostate Cancer Research exists to honour the men and families who have been through things no family should have to go through, and to work for a future where no one needs to fear a prostate cancer diagnosis. 

We are always working to provide resources to help, support and empower patients. Giving them the information they need to make better choices about their treatment, while working to identify and target specific unmet needs in the prostate cancer ecosystem, such as racial inequality and bone metastasis.

It’s been a successful few years for PCR’s Events team with good results across the portfolio, raising over £1.4m (against a target of £800k) in 2023-24 and more than £2.3m in 2024-25 (against a target of £1.7m). The team structure has recently been refreshed, bringing in new roles to ease capacity and ensure the whole team can do their best work – contributing to PCR’s lifesaving mission, developing in their careers and enjoying their jobs within our ambitious and supportive team. 

This role is a new position within the structure, created to focus on our growing third-party events portfolio, an area which is performing well across the sector and deserves more attention. It is an important role which will oversee the innovation, planning and delivery of all third-party events, whilst taking a leading role on wider infrastructure development for the team.

You will work with colleagues across the organisation to seize opportunities, whilst ensuring best practice in our fundraising activity and the delivery of brilliant stewardship during supporters’ participation in third-party events & beyond.

The position reports to the Head of Events & Community and will supervise the work of two Events & Community Executives on relevant projects. Collaboration will be important, including with the other Events team managers who each lead the innovation, planning & delivery of (a) virtual challenge events, and (b) PCR-owned bespoke events. 

We are keen to work together to develop & shape this into an exciting and meaningful role for you. At PCR, we prioritise our team members’ development, and there will be a % of time available to work on other areas of the portfolio for development and interest. However, your main focus will be: 

Strategy, project management and income growth 

• Create and lead the strategy to maximise the value of PCR’s third-party challenge events portfolio, working with the Head of E&C and others to take a long-term view and build this area into a sustainable & growing income stream. 

• Oversee the project management of all third-party events, including the London & Brighton Marathons (and other new events as they are introduced), working with the E&C Executives to ensure targets are met and best practice delivered. 

• Design and deliver ambitious fundraising budgets for your projects which contribute net income towards PCR’s mission. 

• Build good relationships with suppliers, venues, agencies and consultants to ensure great value. 

• Oversee the stewardship of fundraisers, ensuring journeys are relevant & engaging and continuously improved.

• Work with the other Events team managers to contribute to the planning & delivery of other activity areas. 

Product development and innovation 

• Seize the opportunity to grow & improve PCR’s third-party event portfolio, staying up to date with sector trends, identifying new journeys, suppliers & products, and taking a test & learn approach, always ensuring that learnings are captured. For this, there will be realistic budgets & an understanding of the investment needed for new ideas. 

• Develop approaches to engage supporters beyond their initial participation, working with Public Fundraising colleagues & others to test cross-selling journeys and maximise the life-time value of third-party event fundraisers. 

• Maintain a strong level of understanding of PCR’s existing (and target) supporters to create and implement products & stewardship that motivate and inspire them. 

• Alongside the Head of E&C and other Events team managers, embed a culture of innovation and supporter insight. 

• Proactively collaborate internally, working with other teams to identify opportunities which meet PCR’s objectives, including with the Partnerships team to ensure the development & delivery of an employee fundraising programme. 

• Take the lead in developing processes and infrastructure across the Events team that improve efficiency, compliance and best practice, working with other team members to prioritise and deliver this work. 

Team leadership  

• Alongside the other Events team managers, supervise the relevant day-to-day work of the Events & Community Executives to ensure that the projects you are working on together are carried out effectively. 

• Work closely with the Head of E&C and the other Events team managers on team strategy and capacity planning. 

• Work with the team to embed our agile ways of working, modelling the principle of collective responsibility. 

• Attend and contribute to meetings, sharing new ideas and learnings that might be useful for the wider team. 

• Work with the Head of E&C and other Events team managers to embed and model PCR’s organisational values: innovation, collaboration, accountability and championing the patient voice. 

The Events & Community Manager may also get involved with other projects and tasks as appropriate to support Public Fundraising activities. Attendance may be required at some weekend and evening events, for which TOIL will be given.

The Enterprise programme’s aim is to support young people interested in self-employment to explore and test their ideas, write business plans and start their own businesses or achieve alternative outcomes in education, training, volunteering or work.

You'll be the guiding light for a caseload of young people, helping them successfully launch their business ideas and work towards those vital business start targets. We also won’t have you sitting still as travel will be required, exploring your local area to assist in the programme delivery of our Exploring Enterprise course as needed. The delivery can be a mix of online, in-centre or out in the community.

Crafting robust and viable business plans will be your forte. Cash flow forecasts, personal survival budgets, and sector-specific insights are all part of your toolkit. The opportunity

The Partnerships Lead will act as Project Manager for the community strand of Together for Tomorrow, a five-year National Lottery-funded programme supporting grassroots climate action across Devon. Working in close partnership with Libraries Unlimited, you will coordinate delivery across libraries and grassroots groups, supporting communities to develop practical climate initiatives and helping libraries become active sustainability hubs.

You will lead on toolkits, training plans, outreach and focus groups, while also supporting monitoring and reporting. The role blends strategic coordination with hands-on delivery, ensuring the programme is inclusive, locally rooted, and aligned across all partners.

This role sits within the CAG (Community Action Groups) Devon team, a network that supports community groups to take action on reuse, repair, food waste, composting, biodiversity and wider sustainability issues. CAG provides the tools groups need to thrive, including training, resources, and opportunities to connect with others.

What you will be doing

Project, people and partnership management

• Acting as project manager for the community strand of Together for Tomorrow, overseeing planning, coordination, and delivery.
• Building and maintaining partnerships with libraries, grassroots groups, and underrepresented communities.
• Recruiting and line managing the Project Officer, who will be supporting project delivery. Working closely with the CAG Devon team to align community support and delivery models across the network.

Community development and delivery

• Helping new community groups to form and supporting existing ones to grow, diversify, or expand their climate action work.
• Facilitating focus groups and community consultations to shape project delivery and ensure activity is insight-led.
• Delivering a targeted promotion and outreach plan, with a focus on ‘deep dive’ areas and engaging underrepresented communities.

Reporting and learning

• Contributing to the development and implementation of the project’s monitoring and evaluation framework.
• You will lead on monitoring and quarterly reporting (including financial), ensuring that CAG team and wider community partners meet agreed targets.
• Acting as an ambassador for the project, sharing insights and learning to support continuous improvement and knowledge exchange across the sector.
• Carrying out any other duties required of the role.

About the role

The manager is instrumental in facilitating and delivering life changing, positive on the water experiences for young people. As an expert practitioner, they will provide leadership, development and mentoring to their team of instructors. The post will require strong organisational skills.

The Manager is an employee of the Marine Society & Sea Cadets based at our Crosby Boat Station. The post holder is required to hold and maintain the following qualifications as a condition of employment: RYA Senior Dinghy Instructor and RYA Powerboat Instructor.

The primary purpose of the role is to manage a water-sports training facility in the Liverpool area for all Sea Cadet Units and other affiliates to the Boat Station.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day to day running of the Boat Station.
• Ensure that all visiting groups and their staff are fully briefed on the Boat Station’s policies and procedures and that there is adequate supervision of Cadets and young people at the facility, so as to discharge their duty of care for them.
• Oversee the Chief Instructor and all other sessional Instructors using the Boat Station.
• Manage the Boat Station’s accounts in liaison with the Regional Finance Manager including day to day fees.
• Ensure that best practise in accordance with the NGB guidelines and requirements following our Inshore Boating Operating Standard.
