The Role
You will lead the Individual Giving and Supporter Engagement strategy, delivering the growth needed to make two new hospitals – Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital and Cambridge Children’s Hospital – a reality.
You will:
- Lead a team of fundraisers to deliver inspiring appeals and innovative fundraising propositions.
- Drive net income and supporter growth across all Individual Giving streams including regular giving, digital, appeals, and lottery.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, ensuring activities are insight-led and maximise return on investment.
- Develop first-class donor journeys and stewardship experiences to foster supporter loyalty.
- Play a pivotal role in engaging Addenbrooke’s patients and staff to build a sustainable mass participation fundraising model.

About You
We’re seeking an ambitious and data-savvy fundraising leader who can think both strategically and creatively.
You will have:
- Significant experience in direct marketing and individual giving at management level.

- A track record in delivering successful donor acquisition and retention campaigns.
- Exceptional understanding of supporter engagement, CRM systems, and compliance including GDPR.
- Experience in developing innovative products and donor propositions, ideally in a healthcare or charity setting.

The Head of Individual Giving will be responsible for the strategic development of the NT’s individual giving programmes. This includes the overall management of memberships (£84 - £600), Patron programmes (£1,500 - £12,000), audience appeals, legacies, and special events.
The post holder will manage a team of seven ambitious fundraisers and actively solicit gifts themselves, often working with volunteers, to generate in excess of £5m p.a. from individual donors. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the visibility and success of the National Theatre’s public fundraising and will create a strategy for delivering ambitious growth in this area.
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Successful and personal fundraising track record in securing five-figure gifts from individuals
- Excellent communication skills, including experience of writing powerful copy
- Demonstrable experience of budget setting and monitoring
- Experience of staff recruitment, management and appraising
- A track record in identifying and maintaining senior level internal and external relationships

The Role
The Head of Health & Wellbeing is a key member of the College and is responsible for managing the delivery of the College’s operational health and wellbeing provision.
The role holder will be closely involved in student welfare across the College, working closely with undergraduates and postgraduates, Fellows, and staff. Salary and Benefits
The annual salary will be £51,039 p.a. In addition to this the post holder would be eligible for a bonus every year, and meals on duty. We also offer membership of a defined salary sacrifice pension contribution scheme, a Healthcare cash plan and parking.
This is a permanent role at 37.5 hours per week. The nature of the role requires some flexibility in working hours. This includes working the first weekend of the start of the new academic year to help welcome new students, as well as working bank holidays which fall during University Full Term. The role may occasionally require evening work to attend events or meet with students as required. Details of a daily working pattern will be arranged with the Senior Tutor.

Who are we looking for?

This is a key role driving the delivery of the Education Programme of a leading mental health charity focused on supporting the systems around children and young people. The Education Programme Manager’s workload includes supporting a small Education team to deliver specific projects; delivering key organisational projects directly; managing programme level work; liaising with the Education trainers; and supporting Education-related work across the Trust – from fundraising to reporting. We anticipate this role will provide the opportunity for the successful candidate to grow into the staff team's ‘education specialist’, by keeping abreast of key sector developments, while retaining a keen understanding of when further specialist input would be helpful.

Ensure that considerations of equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility are incorporated meaningfully across the Education programme delivery.

Support and retain oversight of the Clinical Lead’s quality assurance of the Education trainers on an annual basis, or other frequency as agreed.

Support CWT’s Fundraising team to identify potential funding opportunities within the Education programme, and at times support bid development by developing viable project proposals swiftly.

Develop and maintain a strategic overview of ‘the Education landscape’ so as to:

advise the CEO and Head of Programmes of key developments that will help shape the Education programme’s future direction (alongside freelance experts who are further embedded into specific areas within education), and

Manage a small Education team to deliver effectively and efficiently; while supporting their development, embodying a collaborative and supportive leadership culture in line with the Trust’s values.

Approve Education programme expenditure as per a delegated budget, including querying unexpected expenditure and highlighting anomalies to the Finance team; and supporting budget development and reforecasting processes by offering a key ‘front line’ perspective on priorities and costs.
