Thanks to funding from the National Lottery Community Fund, we are recruiting for a Parliamentary Officer who will develop and coordinate effective links between the Poverty Truth Network and parliamentarians, promoting a relationally-based approach to policy development and legislation.
You will be a highly motivated person with a proven track record of developing and delivering strategies to influence policy and political stakeholders to achieve change, ideally within a parliamentary or government setting.
Key Tasks
- To develop, with appropriate input from the Director and Partnership Manager, the Network’s approach to engaging with parliamentarians (Politics Alongside) in line with its values and practices
- To ensure that Poverty Truth Commissioners are at the heart of the Network’s parliamentary engagement
- To develop and, where appropriate, establish links with UK and devolved Parliaments and governments to promote the work of the Network
- To coordinate and help to deliver parliamentary events on behalf of the Network, including mapping topics and attendees, working with other partners as appropriate
- To support the development of effective links with Combined Authorities and other devolved administrations
- To work closely with members of the Amplify Team to promote its groups proposals for change
- To support parliamentary engagement, including through written briefings, for the Network’s other national programmes, including Economics for All
- To work with the Communications and Learning & Evaluation Officers to promote and identify best practice to governments and parliaments
- To undertake other appropriate duties as requested by the Partnership Manager
This role involves working from home with some travel.

Thanks to funding from the National Lottery Community Fund, we are recruiting for a Communications Officer who will coordinate our internal, Network-wide, and external communications. Ensuring excellent communications across the staff team, and the effective promotion of its work.
You will be a highly motivated communications specialist with a proven track record of internal and external communications. You will have excellent planning and prioritisation skills to ensure timely delivery of tasks, along with prior proven experience managing social media channels that results in an impact of campaigns and engagement.
Key Tasks
- To create content and coordinate internal communications across the Network staff team, ensuring the effective development and implementation of appropriate channels
- To develop and maintain a communications content calendar when and how the Network’s activity will be effectively communicated
- To coordinate communications across the wider Network, including PTCs, Regional Hubs, and partners, including through the production and dissemination of a regular digital newsletter
- To develop, post and oversee content for the Network’s social media channels to promote the effectiveness of the Network’s approach and the impact of PTCs and commissioners
- To establish and maintain appropriate media links to ensure that the reality of poverty, and the impact of commissioners in seeking to alleviate it, is effectively shared
- To support the Network’s parliamentary engagement and its national programmes to ensure that its work is shared impactfully
- To provide an appropriate level of support to PTCs as they develop their social media and engage with the media appropriately
- To undertake other appropriate duties as requested by the Operations Manager

Your purpose
To deliver a high quality experience to schools in your region through expert relationship management and delivery of specific project outcomes: driving high levels of engagement, retention and renewal and enabling Voice 21 to have the greatest impact in each Voice 21 Oracy School.
Your responsibilities
Relationship management and Group Project delivery

Build and manage strong relationships with member schools and key stakeholders at all levels, across your region in order to add value to their membership, driving engagement, long term loyalty and ultimately impact in our schools.

Use your understanding of member schools in your region to create ‘wow moments’ across the membership journey (e.g. dropping in to meet with key stakeholders or setting up virtual networking opportunities).

Manage the delivery of group projects in your region, reporting to group commissioners or funders on progress.

Represent Voice 21 effectively to external audiences in meetings and events. Develop our regional network through events. Arrange & attend open mornings with current member schools and support with additional event organisation and delivery as required with support from product and events leads.
School journey and experience

Provide an excellent customer experience for member schools and key stakeholders (e.g. Local Authorities and Multi-Academy Trusts) from sign up through to renewal, acting as the first point of contact for your Voice 21 Oracy Schools.

Own the membership journey and school experience for your region, including the underlying processes, activities and comms that support membership.

Gain frontline insights from listening to member schools in your region - collect, track and analyse data about their patterns of behaviour and use these insights to improve their experience.

Use your understanding of our membership offer to support and guide schools in your region to access member benefits that best meet their needs, are most impactful for their students and steward them towards accreditation (e.g. use diagnostic tools to set action plans for the membership year and signpost to Voice 21 products, resources and events).

Bring together data (from our CRM system, our Programme team and impact and engagement monitoring) to understand and own the ‘complete picture’ of each school’s member journey in your region - use insights to manage and increase engagement; proactively share insights gained, internally (e.g. with the Programme team about attendance or school feedback) and externally (reporting to a group project commissioner or funder).

Own membership renewals in your region, helping the Engagement team to deliver our annual school renewal targets (70%+).

Location: Remote with a focus on the East Midlands & East of England.
This role requires regular travel to London, occasional within the region & nationally. This includes visiting schools, attending development days, meetings, and industry events. Some overnight stays will be required.
Ideal Candidate: We are seeking a candidate specifically based in the East Midlands or East of England and with a strong understanding and experience of the educational landscape and the challenges facing schools in these areas.

The Bumblebee Conservation Trust (the Trust) is looking for a part-time, 28 hours per week, Marketing Communications Manager.

Your role will be to lead the Marketing and Communications team to develop and deliver a Marketing and Communications Plan that inspires and enables people from all backgrounds to take action to support bumblebees. Actions may include donating/ fundraising, political advocacy, volunteering/ surveying, or creating bumblebee habitats (everything from a window box up!).
You will work with colleagues across the Trust to deliver both national and project level campaigns and strengthen the Trust’s brand, website, PR, and social media engagement.
