What does this role do?

As a Graphic Designer you will: 

• Develop and evolve Dogs Trust’s visual identity and campaign concepts across digital and print,
• Produce a range of marketing materials for internal and external channels, including digital and print assets,
• Lead multiple design projects from brief to delivery, working with colleagues and external suppliers to ensure on-brand results,
• Champion best-practice design, including accessibility and EEDI, while staying current with trends, tools, and maintaining key brand assets.

The role will manage the statutory and non-statutory income generation team including tenders, grants and fundraising staff to achieve a net target of approximately £2m per annum. About this key role

You will take the lead on applications and relationship management of Trusts and Foundations, working with the Trusts and Foundations Officer and Head of Voluntary Fundraising to raise £2m from Trusts and Foundations each year, plus manage campaigns and events to raise £200,000 across Appeals, Individual Giving, and Legacy per year.  You will be expected to manage a Fundraising Assistant to support them with administration tasks for the team, while also managing and refining processes for recordkeeping, a multitude of fundraising systems, through which we receive funds, and work closely with the Finance team to set and review annual budgets.

We will also count on you to develop and design high-quality applications, presentations, and pitches to secure five-, six- and seven-figure funding opportunities from Trusts and Foundations, provide excellent stewardship to existing donors and to manage the development and implementation of our Individual Giving and Legacy Strategy, providing regular data analysis & reporting on our progress.  Growing our Individual Giving and Legacy income stream through single and regular giving appeals is also a key aspect of this role.

What we are looking for

• Two years’ experience working in a charity fundraising environment
•  Proven track record of winning and/or managing five-figure grants
• Experience devising, planning and implementing fundraising appeals
• A good understanding of fundraising best practice and regulations, including Fundraising Regulator guidelines, GDPR and data protection
• Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to engage external stakeholders

Currently undergoing a significant period of refocus and transition, the Foundation is looking for an experienced Board Support Executive to offer comprehensive and wide ranging administrative and logistical support to the Board of Trustees and the leadership team. This part-time (3 or 4 days per week) role is offered on an 18 months fixed term contract with flexible hybrid working.

This will involve scheduling and minuting high level board and committee meetings, ensuring action points are accurately recorded and followed up. Nacro is looking for a committed and politically astute Policy & Public Affairs Officer – Criminal Justice to play a key role in delivering our influencing strategy. You will help shape Nacro’s policy positions on criminal justice issues and deliver proactive and reactive public affairs activity that drives meaningful change for the people we support.

Key Responsibilities

Policy Development

• Monitor and analyse political and policy developments in criminal justice to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
• Work with service users, staff, and research colleagues to develop evidence-based policy positions.
• Produce high-quality policy briefings, reports, and consultation responses.
• Serve as Nacro’s internal expert on criminal justice policy.
   

Public Affairs & Influencing

• Develop and deliver a public affairs plan that advances Nacro’s influencing objectives.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with parliamentarians, policymakers, and regional decision-makers.
• Attend and represent Nacro at APPGs, parliamentary meetings, and external events.
• Produce parliamentary briefings and contribute to legislative engagement.
• Organise and coordinate parliamentary and stakeholder events that support influencing goals.
• Work collaboratively with partners across the sector to strengthen joint advocacy.
   

Communications & Support

• Provide content for media statements, blogs, and external communications.
• Prepare briefings for senior leaders including the Head of Policy & Public Affairs, Director of Engagement & Impact, and CEO.
• Support wider Nacro campaigns and influencing work as required.
   

Professional & Technical Expertise

• Strong knowledge of criminal justice policy.
• In-depth understanding of Westminster, Whitehall, and political processes.
• Experience designing and delivering effective public affairs activity.
• Demonstrated ability to influence decision-makers.
• Experience working with parliamentarians and developing strong relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience producing policy and campaign materials.
• Strong political awareness and the ability to anticipate developments.

The Coach’s role will be to engage with our adult beneficiaries, supporting them to identify and achieve their aspirations for themselves and for their families.

Adopting a holistic, person-centred approach, she will support beneficiaries both to reach short term goals (through the delivery of Information, Advice and Guidance) and to develop the resources, skills and behaviours necessary to make longer term progress (through Coaching) across the five ‘pillars’ of our social mobility framework:

We currently have 3 Social Mobility Coaches on the team.  Whilst supporting women across all five pillars, each Coach has specific areas of responsibility, which may change from time to time.  We anticipate that for the first twelve months of employment at least, this new Coach will have specific responsibility for building out our Employment offer.

Salary: £33,765 - £37,000 per annum depending on experience.

Hours: Full-time and permanent. 35 hours per week

Place of work: Hybrid with a minimum requirement of 12 in-person days per annum. In addition, there will be a requirement to attend site visits, conferences and events as required.

We’re looking for candidates who ideally have experience of working in health/science research environments and a knowledge of project management methodology. A knowledge of the needs of people affected by Crohn’s and Colitis would also be an advantage.

In this role, there is plenty of scope for a hybrid approach working from home,  although there will be times when you will need to be at face-to-face meetings in Hatfield or across the UK. There is a requirement for you to attend a minimum of 12 in person days a year, including two Directorate meetings and the charity’s mandatory ‘All Staff Together’ days which take place four times a year at our offices in Hatfield or a location in London. In addition, there will be a requirement to attend site visits, conferences and events as required.

About the role

Kinship is undertaking a major feasibility Randomised Controlled Trial (RCT) of Kinship Connected. This is aligned with recommendations set out in the Kinship Care Practice Guide published by Foundations (2024) and builds on evidence from the Kinship Navigator intervention of support for kinship carers in the USA. 

This feasibility RCT is a complex, multi-partner programme involving: 

• An active funding partner 
• An independent evaluation team 
• 5 participating local authorities (to be confirmed) 
• Internal delivery teams and cross organisational services 
• Kinship carers and lived experience subject experts

The Mobilisation and Delivery Project Manager is the operational engine of the programme, ensuring that every workstream is scoped, resourced, sequenced, delivered and evidenced, and that Kinship is trial-ready, compliant, and well-coordinated through set-up and delivery.

This role needs someone who is an excellent communicator, highly organised, unflappable, curious, and able to sit comfortably in the detail. The successful person will keep a firm grip on timelines, dependencies and risks.

You will manage a Programmes Officer as well as the set-up, processes, documentation, reporting, trial readiness, communications and cross-team coordination. You will work closely with the Programmes Manager who will share responsibility for ensuring high quality performance across the feasibility trial. You will both work closely with the core project team and partners.

You will lead operational quality, systems, processes, data, and compliance. The Programmes Manager will lead practice quality, staff development and supervision, safeguarding and relational delivery. Together you make sure the trial is delivered ethically, consistently and to a very high standard. 

Key responsibilities include:

• ​Lead the mobilisation plan across all workstreams and ensure trial readiness.
• Develop all processes, documentation and operational frameworks in line with the intervention protocol.
• Coordinate local authority onboarding, staff training and internal operational setup with the Programmes Manager.
• Work with internal Kinship teams to ensure everyone has clear expectations and is held to account for their performance during mobilisation and delivery – owning the workstreams.

• Ensure weekly pipeline monitoring for treatment and control recruitment.

• Work with the Programmes Manager and Kinship Family Workers to strengthen referral and screening processes where appropriate.

• Identify recruitment risks early and drive rapid problem-solving. 

• Maintain delivery tracking and operational dashboards.

• Identify throughput or workload risks and support adjustments. 

• Lead operational quality assurance (QA) including data quality checks, file audits and process compliance. 

• Coordinate data collection, monitoring and data quality for evaluator requirements (both treatment and control).

Essential knowledge and experience includes:

• Project Management Qualification or commensurate experience.

• Significant experience managing complex projects or programmes with multiple partners and tight delivery requirements.

• Proven experience designing and maintaining structured workflows, operational systems and project plans in fast-paced environments.

• Experience coordinating across multidisciplinary teams without direct line management responsibility.

• Strong background in quality assurance, process improvement and operational risk management.

• Experience translating evaluation, compliance or regulatory requirements into practical delivery processes.

• Experience developing and maintaining documentation, SOPs, manuals and operational toolkits.

• Experience working with data for monitoring, decision making and evaluation readiness.

• Proven ability to ensure data quality, consistency and audit readiness.
