Westway Trust is seeking a dedicated Head of Operations with a minimum of 5 years’ senior leadership or operational management experience in a multi-disciplinary organisation, ideally within a community, charitable, social enterprise or values-led setting.

In this newly created role, you will act as a key advisor, reporting directly into the CEO, and will have responsibility of key areas of the Trust’s operational functions, ensuring the smooth and effective running and delivery of services. You will directly manage the leads of HR, Learning, Communications & Marketing, and Community Engagement, supporting them to deliver high-quality work and develop professionally.

Key responsibilities of the role include but not limited to:

• Oversight and line management of the HR, Learning, Communications & Marketing, and Community Engagement functions of the Trust.
• Oversight of key projects essential to the delivery of the Horizon (strategic) Plan 2025-2028 as agreed with the CEO.
• Be a key part of the Executive Team, chaired by the CEO.
• Maintain an overview of all projects and programmes of activity, outputs and outcomes within the role and ensure reports are written and submitted on time.
• Provide day-to-day operational leadership across teams, driving high performance, alignment with values, and maintaining individual, personal & team wellbeing.
• Develop and implement planning processes and performance management tools to ensure effective delivery of goals.
• Develop, drive and maintain the data gathering and analysis for the Westway Trust, that enables the Social Impact Framework and to play a key role in the organisation’s progress towards creating a strong narrative in respect of achievement. 
• Attend People Committee Meetings and the Board as requested, and contribute to the preparation of meeting papers as necessary in line with agenda requirements. 
• Provide upward reporting and insight to the CEO including written briefings, performance dashboards, and recommendations.
• Attend internal and external meetings, including those that require representing the Trust publicly, in line with agreed strategies and perspectives.
• Monitor, update and ensure compliance with organisational policies and legal requirements (e.g. safeguarding, employment, health & safety, data protection) to build a positive work culture.
• Champion collaboration and integration across departments, ensuring consistent implementation of work priorities that align with community needs and objectives.
• Support a values-based culture that centres equity, sustainability, openness, courage, and integrity.
• Contribute to organisational development and support the process of communicating and managing change effectively at the Trust in line with agreed policies and frameworks.

Essential Experience, Skills and Attributes:

• Minimum 5 years’ senior leadership or operational management experience in a multi-disciplinary organisation, ideally within a community, charitable, social enterprise or values-led setting.
• Proven ability to lead, guide and motivate diverse teams and to support the professional growth of those who report to you as a line manager.
• Demonstrable experience of good practice approaches to conflict resolution, working in collaboration with others and encouraging honesty, transparency and open ways of working across teams that benefit the organisation’s effectiveness and efficiency.
• Excellent planning, organisation and performance management skills.
• Excellent writing and reporting skills, including the ability to summarise complex data and issues for decision-makers.
• Experience in researching, developing and managing departmental budgets.
• Ability to analyse information, and formulate practical and reasoned operational plans that can be easily understood and monitored.
• Strong interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills – able to offer both moral and professional support to teams.
• Experience of supporting organisational change, transition, or transformation programmes.
• Experience of embedding inclusive and equitable practices across teams.
• Demonstrable alignment with the Trust’s values and commitment to anti-racism and community power.

Desirable Experience, Skills and Attributes:

• Previous experience overseeing HR or education/community programmes is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with communications/marketing functions is a plus but not essential.
• Degree-level education together with a recognised professional qualification in any of the fields this role covers - or equivalent lived/professional experience – is highly desirable.

The Minster Centre is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee that provides training in psychotherapy and counselling and an affordable therapy service.

It was founded in 1978 as the first Integrative psychotherapy and counselling training in the UK and is a leading psychotherapy training institution. Now based in Queens Park, NW London, it runs training ranging from open access introductory courses to post-graduate degrees validated by Middlesex University. The Minster Centre caters for around 300 diploma and MA students each year. It is registered with the Office for Students.

The Minster Centre Psychotherapy & Counselling Service (MCPCS) also provides a safe, affordable and professional counselling service to people over the age of 18 who are experiencing a range of difficulties. The service is provided by senior trainees who are in the process of completing their therapy training.

Role purpose

The Minster Centre is seeking to develop and further professionalise its operations and is recruiting to a new Head of Finance role. This is a part-time, flexible role for two days per week in the first instance. Some time in the office will be needed to work alongside other staff and key stakeholders – this can be managed flexibly alongside working from home. The role would therefore suit someone who wants to balance an interesting and senior role alongside other responsibilities or interests.

The Head of Finance will oversee the financial operations of the charity, owning and ensuring compliance to financial policies and procedures. You will provide strategic financial guidance to the Management Committee and contribute to the delivery of the charity’s financial strategies.

Early priorities will be:

• A review of existing financial policies and procedures to support the ongoing effective running of the charity.

What the job involves

We have an opportunity for a Senior Strategic Communications (Campaigns) Officer to join our Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand team. You’ll work closely with the Strategic Communications (Campaigns) Manager to successfully plan and deliver major strategic campaigns and key brand moments, taking the lead on day-to-day project management to keep everything coordinated and running smoothly.

As a Senior Strategic Communications (Campaigns) Officer you’ll take responsibility for developing content for allocated big-ticket campaigns and brand moments, ensuring all content is consistent with our brand and tone of voice. Our current campaigns focus on reaching more men so they can make informed choices about their prostate cancer risk, while also working to reduce health inequalities and better engage Black men, a community disproportionately affected by prostate cancer.

Collaboration is a big part of this role.  Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you’ll help shape high-impact content marketing strategies and integrate key messages across the organisation. You’ll also support the development of creative content for key partnerships and campaigns, ensuring content aligns with our brand and campaign objectives.

What we want from you

We’re looking for someone who’s experienced in supporting strategy and delivering major campaigns and brand moments that make a real difference and help us connect with new audiences. You’ll have a solid understanding of current communications practices and a keen eye on emerging trends, bringing fresh ideas to the table.

With excellent project management skills, you’ll be comfortable in using collaboration tools like Trello to keep everything on track. You’ll be highly organised, proactive and comfortable juggling multiple priorities.

You’ll be skilled in developing and delivering creative, engaging content for different platforms, making sure it’s always aligned with our brand and tone of voice. You’ll also have strong analytical skills, able to quickly digest complex information and turn it into clear, actionable insights.

The FA is looking for a Women's and Girls' Game Communications Executive to join our team on a 2-year fixed-term contract.

This is an exciting role with responsibilities across various areas of the women's and girls' game, including the Adobe Women's FA Cup, grassroots football, coaching, refereeing, the England talent pathway and The FA's Made for this Game campaign. Working closely with and reporting directly to the Women's and Girls' Game Communications Manager, you will play a crucial role in delivering a communications strategy which promotes The FA's strategic objectives within women's and girls' football.

The role requires a smart media operator and a creative thinker who can recognise opportunities to grow the women's and girls' game across the priority areas. You will help deliver the season-long communications plan and press office function for the Adobe Women's FA Cup, helping elevate the competition to new heights. With direction from the Head of England Communications, the role will also cross into the England pathway with the requirement to scope opportunities to elevate the profile of the England women's development squads.

As a member of The FA's Communications team, you will work as part of a high-performing integrated marcomms team across the priority areas. Close collaboration with Marketing, Campaigns, Content and Public Affairs colleagues within The FA will be essential to help drive and deliver integrated campaigns. You will also work with various FA departments and external stakeholders to create and deliver the communications strategies.

It is a two-year fixed-term role, which currently includes two days a week based at Wembley Stadium and regular trips to St George's Park. Please note that the role also requires occasional out-of-hours work and travel.

What will you be doing?

• Coordinate and deliver an integrated season-long communications plan to support and promote The FA's key strategic objectives in the women's and girls' game.
• Coordinate and deliver an integrated season-long communications plan to promote and protect the Adobe Women's FA Cup, including the delivery of the competition's press office function.
• Press office support for the England women's development teams.
• Identify opportunities to promote The FA's Made for this Game campaign across owned and external channels.
• Ownership of creating and maintaining key press materials for the smooth running of the holistic women's and girls' game press office, including media lists, briefing documents and media guides.
• Play a central role within an integrated marcomms team to promote the women's and girls' game, the Adobe Women's FA Cup and England women's development teams across owned and earned channels.
• Develop and maintain trusted working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Work effectively with key internal departments, including Marketing, Digital Content, Commercial, Broadcast, and Public Affairs, to achieve joint organisational goals.
• Expertly and effectively manage incoming media requests.
• Execute additional tasks as required to meet the FA's changing priorities.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure that the highest standards of health, safety, and well-being can be maintained.

• Proven experience working in a high-functioning communications team or equivalent role.
• Excellent knowledge of women's football.

Job Title: Head Baker

Location: Felix Bakes. London, Acton (W3 7QS)

Hours/Days per week: 37.5 hour per week, 8.5 hours per day (between 8am - 8pm). Monday – Saturday (5 days on, 2 days off). Operating hours to start with for the bakery will be Monday - Friday 9am - 5:30pm.

About The Felix Project

The Felix Project is London’s largest food redistribution charity. Our vision is a London where good food is never wasted, and no one goes hungry. We aim to reduce the negative impact food waste has on the environment by working with the food industry to rescue high quality surplus produce, that would otherwise have gone to waste. This food is sorted at one of our four depots or turned into meals in Felix’s Kitchen. It is then distributed to over 1,200 community organisations, such as food banks, homeless shelters and primary schools, all of whom are working within communities across London to feed people experiencing hunger.

Purpose of the Job

To be the driving force and manager of this new operation, you will join a brand-new operation with the chance to put your stamp on it and drive it forward into the future.

Whilst having the support structure of the wider Felix Production teams and West London Depot Operations team.

You will be the manager of this site and have overall responsibility for its day to day running, it is a hands-on role with most of the working day spent in the kitchen and running the bakery unit. At the beginning of the operation, you will be the only permanent employee there, but this team will expand to add an additional junior baker once fully operational. However, there is the Depot team and the wider production team who will be supporting the day to day as well.

We are a volunteer lead operation so you will have volunteers working alongside you to support the operation.

• In mid-2025 we will open our third production faciality, Felix Bakes. A small operation designed to help us rescue more surplus food and turn it into high value baked goods
• All these goods we make will go back to our brand-new West London Depot, based in the same trading estate and then delivered to some of the 1,200 Community Organisations we support around London 
• A particular focus will be on seasonal produce gluts (carrots, courgettes, potatoes), meaning we can ensure more of this produce does not go to waste and add value to the people we support across London
• It will work in partnership with our second production faciality The Felix Food Factory, which will be able to process and/or freeze some of these seasonal gluts into an easier to use format for Felix Bakes
• We are launching this operation in partnership with Deliveroo, who have gifted us the use of this space.

· The Felix Bakes Kitchen is a unit within a wider “dark” kitchen site, which has onsite support and management of the whole unit.

Duties and Accountabilities

• Be the lead manager of this new operation
• Volunteer and staff management
• Support in the creation and delivery of all required H&S, Food Safety and HACCAP plans
• Working with all internal stake holders across the departments at the Felix Project to maximise the output and impact of the unit
• Reporting on and delivering against the units stated KPI’s and development goals
• Participate and conduct internal and external audits, meeting the required standards
• To be the figure head of the project, including internal and some external promotion of the new operation
• Driving continuous development of our product range and reacting to the changing nature of our food supply
• Fully accountable for the units’ outputs and safety standards, reporting and working closely alongside the Head of Production to ensure all standards are met.

• Comfortable with all relevant aspects of Health & Safety and Food Safety procedures in a food manufacturing environment
• Previous experience in creating and/or delivering on HACCAP plans

• Comfortable working alone, a positive attitude and belief in an ethical, equitable and enjoyable working environment.
• Comfortable in working in a fast changing and growing work environment.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills.

• Previous experience in the charity or surplus food environment
