This is a practical, hands-on leadership role at the heart of Richmond CVS’s work with local charities and community groups. The postholder will lead our support to voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations across the borough – helping them to grow stronger and more sustainable.
The main focus of the role is to strengthen the fundraising skills and income generation of local organisations, alongside providing high-quality advice on governance, planning and strategy. The role requires curiosity, creativity and strong problem-solving skills to help organisations find practical solutions to real-world challenges.
Richmond CVS already works with a range of experienced consultants and trainers and has an established suite of training resources. The postholder is not expected to be an expert in every aspect of charity management. A key part of the role is to coordinate and facilitate this support, drawing on specialist expertise where needed, while providing direct advice particularly in relation to fundraising and the fundamentals of good governance.
Working with a small, passionate team, you will deliver support, facilitate learning and manage projects that make a real difference to grassroots groups.
Key Responsibilities
Organisational Support
· Provide practical tailored advice and support to VCSE organisations on governance, fundraising, income generation, and strategic planning.
· Help groups to identify funding opportunities and develop strong, realistic funding applications

We are looking for an Intercultural Engagement Manager (Freedom of Speech) to to manage our student-led external speaker events policy and processes, which are key to enabling the Union to balance our responsibility to enable and protect freedom of speech within the law with our fundamental charitable purpose to deliver for the educational benefit of our community and society.
The role holder will manage the external speakers’ approval process, including assessing the risk rating and the risk mitigation steps required for events. These are essential processes that enable the Union to facilitate student-led events, which broaden the scope of discussion and debate and contribute to the academic and non-academic development of our members, whilst ensuring the safety of those participating.
The post holder will also work with the Head of Intercultural Engagement to increase the number and variety of skills development opportunities for students, catering to the diverse needs of our members. About the role:
Lead the Scheme Oversight function to ensure the Motability Scheme consistently delivers choice, value for money and excellent customer service for disabled people. The role includes setting the Oversight strategy, developing the Scheme’s performance management framework, reporting on performance to internal/external parties and assisting/managing key stakeholder relationships across Motability Foundation, Motability Operations and Government departments.

The Café – Nourishing Food, Nurturing Community
Our café is the social heart of The Bridge — a welcoming, accessible, and inclusive space where everyone can connect, share, and feel at home. Serving seasonal, plant-based meals prepared in-house, the café champions women-led enterprises and affordable, healthy food. It hosts many of our wellbeing and creative programmes, and through initiatives like the Pay-What-You-Can Supper Club, supports emerging women chefs and builds everyday acts of care and solidarity. The café has the opportunity to not only advances our mission of improving women’s health and wellbeing but also generates vital trading income and partnership opportunities.
While it currently operates at a deficit, it plays a vital role in advancing our wellbeing and community objectives. We are now focused on realising its full commercial potential. A feasibility study is underway to explore a range of operational and business models that will transition the café into a sustainable, profit-making enterprise. Plans include expanding income-generating opportunities through hosting more events, developing an external catering offer, and maximising use of the space for private hire and functions during weekends. Room Hire – Spaces that Enable Collaboration and Impact
Our professional meeting and event spaces are used by charities, community groups, and corporate partners for workshops, training, and strategic planning. With over 500 bookings a year and a 89% return rate, these rooms are known for their quality, warmth, and service. The income they generate supports our wider mission, while also acting as a catalyst for new partnerships and collaborations.
We now aim to build on this success by increasing utilisation on our most popular days (Tuesday to Thursday) and attracting new clients to fill capacity on Mondays, Fridays, evenings, and weekends. Plans include developing loyalty packages for regular clients and introducing new offers such as team wellbeing days that align with our health and wellbeing ethos. This approach will not only maximise income potential but also strengthen The Bridge’s role as a space where organisations connect, collaborate, and thrive.
Key responsibilities:
1. Income Generation Strategy
· Develop and implement a comprehensive income generation strategy for our social businesses (women’s-only gym and studio, café, and meeting room hire).

We are seeking a Head of Technology and Operations to provide strategic and operational leadership of The Children's Society's IT operations, ensuring reliable, secure, and cost-effective services that enable colleagues to deliver impact for children and young people. The role owns management of the Managed Service Provider (MSP) and other providers, oversees IT Service Management (ITSM) and Service Desk operations, leads the Microsoft 365 digital workplace estate, and is responsible for the IT security of the organisation. The postholder is accountable for operational budgets, supplier performance, service quality, and the continual improvement of our digital workplace.
Key Responsibilities
-Operational leadership and service reliability
-Lead day-to-day IT operations across infrastructure, networks, end-user computing and platforms; ensure resilient, secure, user-centred services.
-Strengthen business continuity, disaster recovery and operational resilience; maintain risk registers and assurance evidence.
-ITSM / ITIL and Service Desk performance
-Own ITSM (ITIL v3/v4 aligned) processes: Incident, Request, Problem, Configuration/Asset, Knowledge and Major Incident; set standards, KPIs and SLAs.
-Direct Service Desk performance (multi-channel support, triage, knowledge-base health, CSAT/NPS).
-Supplier, contract and change governance

About the role: You will be creative, self-motivated, conscientious and energetic, and have superb interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with a wide range of people and build the supporter base of St Petrock’s. You will have strong project and event management skills to lead on major fundraising campaigns and events such as our annual Christmas fundraising video campaign, the Big Night Out sponsored sleepout, and the Big Night In fundraising dinner, along with the imagination and drive to develop a full programme of public fundraising challenges and events. You will also have the knowledge and drive to develop legacy giving and major donor programmes and, supported by the Fundraising and Communications Officer, will be responsible for our social media platforms, website, media relations, and other external communications.
You will be primarily based at the St Petrock’s homelessness centre, with the opportunity for some hybrid working (at home or at local co-working venue). Given the nature of the role, it is essential that you have a suitably insured vehicle and are able to attend meetings and events outside normal working hours to share about St Petrock’s as needed.
