You will ensure effective governance structures, regulatory compliance, risk identification and mitigation, and decision-making processes across the organisation.
The role will support the Chief Strategy and Governance Officer to manage, measure, review and analyse our performance against the governance and risk frameworks and enable the organisation to achieve its strategic and charitable objectives.
The role:
Head (Governance & Risk)
Reporting to the Chief Strategy and Governance Officer, you will lead on the day to day delivery of the charity’s governance, risk, and compliance frameworks. This role provides expert support to the Chief Strategy and Governance Officer, Board of Trustees and senior management team and is responsible for embedding a proactive, organisation-wide approach to risk management and accountability.
About You:

· Experienced in charity governance with a good understanding of relevant legislation and best practice
· Working towards or Membership of a relevant professional body
· Knowledge of risk management frameworks, including policy development and reporting at a senior level.

Knowledge and experience:
· Knowledge and experience of governance, risk and compliance at senior level preferably in the charity or non-profit sector.

About the role
As Head of High Value Events, you will be responsible for the strategic development and delivery of a portfolio of high-value fundraising and engagement events. You will lead and coach a team of events specialists, ensuring that every event deepens relationships with high-net-worth individuals, corporate partners and senior stakeholders, while also driving significant flexible income.
The role will require close collaboration with colleagues across Corporate, Philanthropy, Government & Multilateral teams, as well as Public Impact, PR, and Influencer engagement teams, to ensure events are innovative, impactful and aligned with organisational priorities. You will also play a key role in managing relationships with senior stakeholders including Trustees, high net worth individuals and event committees.

Overall Purpose of the Head of Services
This new role reports to the Chief Executive and is a member of the charity’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT). The role reflects planned development and expansion in the charity’s direct service provision including the development of a permanent Helpline following a pilot project in 2025.

We are recruiting a Head of Responsible Business at the Fairtrade Foundation. This leadership role will oversee the Responsible Business team, made up of a diverse range of individuals holding knowledge across supply chains and commodities to provide an end-to-end service relationship for our major commercial partners. This role comes at a crucial time to the team as they deepen our partnerships, develop new solutions and innovate our portfolio. The Responsible Business team strategy would be led overall by the Associate Director, with input and shaping form the Head of RB role. The Head of RB will oversee the team delivering this strategy, and provide crucial support across retail, brand and OOH leads and partnership managers to ensure the team is meeting targets and KPIs. The role will also play a crucial role internally (within the Foundation and global system), representing the team on internal forums, delivering key outputs required and driving forward the relevant agendas in the appropriate spaces. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior retail professional to bring an entrepreneurial vision and shape this area of income for the charity. You will be responsible for managing their current commercial businesses and seeking out new, exciting commercial opportunities to support annual profit growth. You will also inspire and manage a diverse team of staff and volunteers and ensuring delivery of project milestones and financial targets.
The successful candidate will have retail sector management and development at a senior level, alongside experience of e-commerce, multi-site management and strategic planning and development.
