At the League Against Cruel Sports, we’re working towards a kinder society where animals are no longer persecuted in the name of ‘sport’. We’re looking for two Supporter Services Assistants to join our friendly and committed Fundraising team.

This is a vital role that supports our incredible supporters — whether they’re making a donation, updating their details or asking about our campaigns. You'll be the first point of contact for many of them, helping to deliver a warm, professional and efficient experience by phone, email and post.

You'll also support the team with accurate data entry, payment processing and the day-to-day running of our supporter database, helping to ensure every gift and action is recorded and acknowledged appropriately.

Our motto is “dialogue, not monologue” — we value every conversation with our supporters, and you'll be instrumental in making sure they feel heard, appreciated and part of our movement.

Key responsibilities:

· Responding to supporter enquiries by phone, email and post

· Processing donations and setting up direct debits

· Maintaining and updating supporter records using our CRM system

· Sending thank you letters and supporter communications

· Supporting data imports, exports and database hygiene

· Handling supporter complaints with care and professionalism

What we’re looking for:

· Experience in customer or supporter care

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Confidence using databases and Microsoft Office

· Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

· Empathy for supporters and a commitment to our cause

· A calm, friendly and solutions-focused approach

Experience with Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM systems is helpful, but not essential – we’ll provide full training.

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Community Fundraiser to join our Community Fundraising team. Community is at the heart of Shooting Star Children’s Hospices, and our community fundraising team play a vital role in building relationships and raising funds across our community and catchment. Shooting Star Children’s Hospices is a leading children’s hospice charity caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families. We support families across Surrey and London from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement with a range of nursing, practical, emotional and medical care.

As a key member of our Community Fundraising team, you will work closely with the Senior Public Fundraising Manager and Head of Supporter Engagement on new and existing fundraising activities, helping to maintain and develop existing relationships and work proactively to identify new contacts and opportunities for development.  This is an exciting role, in a growing team within a charity that makes a huge impact across our communities. Strong project management and communication skills will be vital, and you will be confident with CRM systems, social media platforms and MS Office packages.

· Strong understanding and experience of how policy is influenced, both inside and outside Government.

· Experience of developing and influencing key stakeholders, changing opinions, practices and creating new models to deliver policy change.

· Experience of large-scale grant and programme management.

We are now seeking to appoint a Head of Policy Engagement to lead our engagement with policymakers and senior sectoral stakeholders under our four community-led missions and lead our customer support offer. Using your deep understanding of the political and social environment in which our grantholders operate, you will explore the context for new funding initiatives, including potential partnerships, ensuring that we are making the greatest impact possible.   

You will already have well established relationships with Welsh Government Departments, other funders and the voluntary and community sector and you will use this to share learning and insight from our funding, lead consultations and identify opportunities for future collaboration. You will convene both grantholder and stakeholder networks to inform our analysis and ensure that community voice is at the heart of our decision-making. 

Working with our Funding Team you will ensure we provide first class customer support leading our advice service and working closely in support of our outreach work, ensuring an appropriate level of general and targeting applicant and customer support. 

You will be part of a policy and practice network across the Fund, working collaboratively with colleagues across the UK to develop One-Fund approaches to our missions. 

We’re looking for someone who is values-driven, passionate about the Fund’s purpose and deeply committed to equity, diversity and inclusion and environmental responsibility. You will have a strong track record of influencing at a senior level and be able to articulate strategic ambitions clearly and effectively.  You will also have a nuanced understanding of the role of a non-Departmental Public Body in the policy landscape and experience of working collaboratively across organisational boundaries.  As a member of the Wales Leadership Team, you will provide inspiring leadership and strategic direction to the wider team.

About the Role

This is a new senior leadership role at IRMO, created to strengthen the coordination and development of our growing programmes and services. As our work has expanded, so has its complexity. This role has been designed to improve cross-team planning, bring greater consistency to our delivery, and embed a stronger focus on learning and impact across everything we do.

As Head of Programmes and Impact, you will be at the heart of a community-led, Latin American-led organisation committed to advancing migrant rights and social justice. You will play a key role in supporting that mission by helping ensure our work is effective, well-resourced and aligned with the needs of the communities we serve.

In this role, you will provide day-to-day support to Programme Managers, connect work across teams, and lead our new Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) function. You will also deputise for the CEO and contribute to strategic planning, quality assurance and risk management across the organisation.

As part of IRMO’s Senior Management Team, you will help shape and deliver our organisational strategy. You will also play a central role in our participation in the London Communities Human Rights Programme – a four-year project supporting us to embed a human rights-based approach in all areas of our work, in collaboration with the British Institute of Human Rights.

This is a key leadership role that will help strengthen how we work, learn and deliver together. We’re looking for someone collaborative, values-led and highly organised – with experience in leading teams, coordinating programmes and building strong internal systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Support planning and coordination across programmes to ensure joined-up, consistent delivery and efficient use of IRMO’s resources

Person Specification

Essential

• At least one year’s experience in a senior management or leadership role

• At least three years’ experience managing programmes or projects in relevant areas
