Join our team at the MPS Society, one of the leading rare genetic disease charities in the UK aiming to transform the lives of over 1500 individuals and their families UK-wide who are affected by MPS, Fabry and other related lysosomal diseases.

We are expanding our small, dedicated, Support team who raise awareness, provide information and practical guidance alongside support and advocacy relating to health and social care, housing, education, transition, independent living, palliative care, and bereavement.  This team also contribute to the development of our resources and facilitate project work such as youth engagement, advisory boards, and support groups.

Ideal candidate

As a Support & Advice Officer, you will provide administrative and initial frontline support.  You will have the confidence to respond to queries, triaging when required.  You will work with sensitivity and confidentiality, have excellent communication skills making sure that the individual (or family) remains at the centre of your work.  You will have exceptional IT skills and be highly organised, with the ability to juggle many strands of work.  You will demonstrate a positive attitude and a willingness to work collaboratively with your colleagues and external parties.   

Training on MPS and related conditions will be provided to help you develop a good understanding of MPS and related conditions, and the needs of those affected by these progressive, life-limiting conditions.

This is an essential car user post. The applicant must hold a current UK driver’s licence, with no more than 6 points, have access to a car and be able and willing to drive UK wide as required.

This role is offered on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 2 days in our Amersham office each week. As part of the role, UK wide travel is necessary. which may on occasion include early morning and/or evening working and sometimes overnight stays.  You may also occasionally be required to attend evening or weekend conferences and events. We have policies in place to ensure that any unsociable hours worked are fairly compensated.

This is a full-time role (35 hrs per week) however part time hours may be considered for the right candidate.  Salary will be pro-rata for part-time.

The MPS Society is a charity that provides a range of care, support and activities for children and adults at risk throughout the UK. This is provided in several ways through our dedicated support and advocacy service, annual events, patient expert meetings and conferences. As the Head of Engagement and Communications, you’ll support the Executive Director in leading AMOSSHE as a senior leader. You’ll also act as the Deputy Director, contributing to operational management, strategic development and stepping in for the Executive Director as needed. You’ll have line management responsibilities for members of the team. As well, you’ll be responsible for shaping and delivering impactful communications strategies that drive member engagement, promote AMOSSHE’s events and initiatives, and elevate the organisation’s profile.

Contract type: Permanent, full time (37 hours a week).

Location: Hybrid. Two days (Tuesday and Wednesday) in the office, central London. This is a requirement of the role.

Salary range: £45,000 to £50,000, with an expected starting salary between £45,000 and £47,000, depending on experience.

Our Services Delivery team are responsible for: virtual support hub, community support teams, service comms and engagement

Our Director of Services Delivery will be:

• providing strategic direction and leadership to our Service Delivery function, spanning services such as a helpline, digital and remote, and community engagement

High Trees Community Development Trust is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Community Action to join our senior management team and lead one of our core service areas.

This is an exciting and important role within our work, continually shaped by the needs and priorities of the communities we work alongside. While the focus of our Community Action service evolves year on year, it always centres on social action, capacity building, and strengthening community voice.

This coming year will see this work expand rapidly, following High Trees’ successful bid to deliver the local authority contract for capacity building support to voluntary and community sector (VCS) organisations across Lambeth. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with experience in this area – although more important are the leadership, skills and aptitude to successfully oversee the delivery of this vital workstream. The service also plays a central role in driving forward social action within our flagship partnerships, including Building Young Brixton, the Lambeth Peer Action Collective, and the Lambeth Community Research Network – helping to ensure communities take a leading role in action linked to research and advocacy.

The Head of Community Action leads on a diverse range of areas, which shift each year in response to community needs and opportunities to strengthen civic voice and local infrastructures. In recent years, this has included supporting residents to lead community organising campaigns to improve the built environment, coordinating digital inclusion initiatives during the Covid-19 pandemic, capacity building Tenants and Residents Associations and supporting the creation of local neighbourhood plans that put residents’ voices at the centre of decision-making.

As part of High Trees’ senior management team, the Head of Community Action will not only oversee delivery in their service area, but also help shape organisational strategy, grow partnerships and income, and ensure we work as one High Trees – keeping our practice responsive, collaborative, and always led by community need.

The charity was founded in October 2008 by a small group of 30 families. Today, DSUK is a registered charity helping nearly 600 families with support, education, and research services, underpinned by a world-class Medical Advisory Board.

They are now seeking a Head of Family Services, a newly created senior role to enable DSUK to drive forward with the implementation of their five-year strategic plan, including supporting and empowering families to access the support to which they are entitled in living with a complex and life limiting condition.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation and help guide the next stage of their development, enabling them to make a positive difference in the lives of more people affected by Dravet Syndrome in the UK.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following essential criteria:

• Demonstrable ability to interpret and use current legislation and guidance to protect and/or advance people's rights and entitlements
• Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the confidence and ability to engage effectively with families, healthcare professionals, social workers and other stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex issues clearly and persuasively in written and verbal formats.
• Proven ability to provide high quality professional supervision (reflective practice) to qualified and unqualified staff, in order to maximise personal effectiveness and professional development

The successful candidate will be compassionate, skilled, hands-on and collaborative with significant experience of a working environment involving families with disability and/or complex needs (e.g. social care, health care, special needs education, disability law and/or family support in a similar organisation). You will have good working knowledge of disability law and other relevant statutory and regulatory frameworks, relevant organisations and agencies involved, and experience of an appropriate range of professional interventions. You will have demonstrable expertise and advanced training all aspects of safeguarding for children and vulnerable adults. You have proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support colleagues towards achieving shared goals.

• providing strategic direction and leadership to our Service Development function. 
• taking overall responsibility and provide thought-leadership for all Service Development, Volunteering, and Participation & Influence across the MS Society

We are seeking a full-time Supporter Engagement Coordinator to join our team. You will be a key point of contact for our audience and supporters, helping to deliver excellent customer service and ensure outstanding supporter care. The role involves overseeing audience engagement, coordinating communications and special events—including evening lectures—and maintaining accurate data to support our fundraising and engagement activities. Key duties and responsibilities:

Audience Engagement

• Deliver exceptional customer care, ensuring all supporters and donors are thanked promptly—whatever the channel.

• Work with the Head of Fundraising and Engagement and the wider team to deliver supporter journeys, making recommendations for improvements and changes.

• Respond swiftly and professionally to all audience and supporter enquiries by phone, email, and post.

• Proactively share audience feedback with relevant teams.

• Handle any complaints, liaising with the complainant and the relevant member of staff to achieve a resolution, following the complaints process.

• Maintain Eventbrite with lecture details and engagement information.

• To act as Duty Manager for evening lectures when required.

• Provide support to the wider Gresham College team by attending lectures and special events.

CRM Administration

• Serve as primary contact for database management, ensuring data accuracy to drive fundraising and engagement.

• Coordinate data selections, mailings, invitations, and content fulfilment.

• Regularly import, export, and merge data from online giving and ticketing platforms.

• Track and report performance against targets and KPIs for the Head of Fundraising & Engagement.

• Ensure best practice is followed, complying with current legislation and internal policies in relation to data protection, GDPR and gift aid processing and ensure that all activity is carried out in a legal and compliant way.

Hall Hire and Event Co-ordination

• Be the first point of contact for hall hire enquiries and manage all related admin.

• Oversee stocks, supplies, and space organisation for events.

• Lead setup and breakdown for lectures and venue lettings.

• Arrange and manage bookings for external event venues, handling all logistics.

• Organise catering for special events and meetings both at Barnard’s Inn and other venues.

• Be responsible for excellent customer care of existing and new venue hire clients.

• Organise all activity around venue hire events, including collaborating with the AV team

• Liaise and support the Head of Fundraising & Engagement over the promotion of Barnards’ Inn to increase income generation from lettings.

Other

• Working with volunteers to enable them to assist in the delivery of tasks as appropriate.

• Attend and contribute to team and staff meetings as required.

• Participate in ongoing training and development.

• Undertake other tasks as required to support the College.

• Evening and occasional out-of-hours work required (with time off in lieu).

Person specification:

Essential Skills & Experience

• Customer Service Excellence: Proven experience delivering high-quality customer care, ideally in a fundraising, or educational setting. Ability to handle enquiries and complaints with professionalism and empathy.
• CRM and Data Management: Strong working knowledge of CRM systems (we use Beacon) including data entry, segmentation, and reporting. Experience with data imports/exports and maintaining data accuracy.
• Event Coordination: Experience planning and delivering events, including logistics, venue liaison, catering, and AV coordination. Comfortable acting as Duty Manager and supporting evening lectures and events.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage supporters, respond to enquiries, and write engaging responses.
• Digital Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Eventbrite, and online giving platforms. Comfortable using digital tools to manage bookings, communications, and supporter journeys.
• Organisational Skills: Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail.
• Team Collaboration: Experience working collaboratively across departments and with volunteers. Willingness to support colleagues and contribute to a positive team culture.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Experience in a fundraising or engagement role within a charity, or educational organisation.
• Compliance & Data Protection: Understanding of GDPR, data protection, and Gift Aid regulations. Commitment to ethical and legal standards in supporter care and data handling.

The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Services and Branch Finance Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Head of Finance and Resources, you will oversee financial compliance, business support services, and operational governance across our homing network.

Key Responsibilities

About the Role

The Management Accountant will work closely with the Head of Finance to enhance financial services and provide supportive management accounting at Solace. You will work alongside the Assistant Management Accountants to produce accurate and timely internal and external financial reports. 

The Management Accountant will have line management responsibilities for the two Assistant Management Accountants.

In this role, you will prepare monthly income and expenditure reports for more complex allocated projects and the organisation as a whole, the monthly cashflow, funder reports and lead on the preparation of the budget and half yearly forecasting. You will ensure that management accounts are produced within established deadlines with commentary of financial reporting variances. You you will meet regularly with budget holders and be able to explain the accounts to non-finance colleagues. Provide project terms and financial information to the Director of Finance and Business Support and Head of Finance.

As part of your support to our business development plans you will provide fast responses to requests for support for pricing of new bids, grant applications, tenders and provision of other relevant financial information.

As part of the annual statutory reporting you will assist and support in the preparation of the year-end close and audit.

At all times you will support the Head of Finance to develop a business partnering approach between Finance and the widder organisation.

About You

The successful candidate will be a nearly or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CCAB) or qualified by experience and desirably with knowledge of charity SORP reporting requirements, with charity experience on multi projects accounting.

Able to produce accurate reporting on timely manner and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Strong team player as well as working independently. Can work with non-finance budget holders with clear communication skills. Have strong knowledge of Excel and of working with finance systems.
