We operate through two key areas: (i) we deliver a national schools programme to more than one in five state secondary schools delivering workshops and events and publishing leading educational resources. (ii) we work with third sector organisations to deliver workshops and events with the joint aims of amplifying youth voice and supporting the financial sustainability of the charity- an exciting growth area that this role will help shape and lead.
The Role
This role is focused on managing and growing our work with other third sector organisations. - Manage the full commercial cycle from prospecting and enquiry to delivery and invoicing
- Work with our impressive existing client base while actively developing new partnerships
- Match client needs with our established freelance trainer network

- Successfully deliver flagship programmes like "My Maiden Speech" - our high-profile, transformative multi-organisation youth voice programme
- Develop and deliver new youth voice initiatives that amplify marginalised voices
- Engage new partners and showcase our transformative work
- Manage events, logistics, and complex stakeholder relationships across multiple organisations
- Maximise the potential of these programmes to generate new funding sources to expand this part of our work.
Supporting Speakers Trust's Broader Objectives
- As part of our collaborative team of 10, you'll also contribute to our success through:
- Supporting fundraising events and activities to help achieve our income targets
- Contributing to events for our schools programme and other initiatives where needed
- Coordinating smaller projects across the charity as opportunities and needs arise
- Supporting the CEO and team with tasks that help make Speakers Trust a great place to work
- Contributing to solutions for the usual challenges faced by small charities - bringing creativity and problem-solving skills
- Representing Speakers Trust at external events and networking opportunities
- Sharing knowledge and expertise with colleagues to strengthen our collective impact
What Success Looks Like
- Sustainable growth in our enterprise workshop programme and net income contribution
- Successful delivery of multiple youth voice programmes and events throughout the year

We rebuild tropical fisheries with coastal communities
Blue Ventures is a marine conservation organisation that puts people first. We support coastal fishers in remote and rural communities to rebuild fisheries and restore ocean life.
Our work began two decades ago in Madagascar’s remote coastal communities and is growing globally.
Across a dozen countries, we’re partnering with traditional fishers and community organisations to design, scale, strengthen, and sustain fisheries management and conservation at the community level. We bring partners together in networks to advocate for reform and share tools and best practices to support fishing communities worldwide. In this role, we convene the Transform Bottom Trawling Coalition with over 120 members across 40 countries.
Summary job description
Blue Ventures is seeking an experienced and passionate fisheries expert to lead and manage the Transform Bottom Trawling (TBT) Coalition’s technical and strategic work. This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in a growing global movement that seeks to end destructive bottom trawling practices and champion the rights of small-scale fishers.
The Transform Bottom Trawling Coalition is a global movement uniting small-scale fishers, coastal communities, and environmental groups against the most destructive form of industrial fishing. Together with over 120 members, we are advocating for:
-
Protecting coastal water: Creating Inshore Exclusion Zones and Preferential Access Areas to keep bottom trawling out and give small-scale fishers priority access.
-
Safeguarding marine life: Ensuring bottom trawling is prohibited in Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) to protect marine animals and plants.
-
Supporting fair subsidies: Ending subsidised bottom trawling and supporting a fair transition.
-
Stopping expansion: Preventing bottom trawling from expanding into new, untrawled areas.
You will be responsible for providing expert advice across the coalition, driving research and knowledge creation, and ensuring the coalition remains at the forefront of scientific, policy, and advocacy developments. Your expertise will help shape impactful strategies and campaigns that promote sustainable, equitable, and community-led ocean governance.
The ideal candidate will bring expertise in fisheries science and policy and a commitment to social and environmental justice. Reporting to the Head of Global Advocacy, this is a full-time role with occasional travel to work closely with overseas colleagues and partners. The role involves close collaboration with diverse partners, including grassroots organisations, scientists, campaigners, and policy experts, to drive systemic change. As a key spokesperson and thought leader for the coalition, you will support impactful communications and represent the coalition at high-level events. If you're passionate about rights-based approaches to fisheries management and marine conservation, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll do
As Finance Executive, you’ll play a key role in keeping our day-to-day finance operations running smoothly; from processing transactions and performing reconciliations, to ensuring our partners are billed correctly and pay on time. You'll be a key point of contact for finance queries across the business, and your work will be essential to maintaining accurate records and enabling wider decision-making. You'll also play an important role in driving process improvements, and support the team by analysing data and producing insightful reports that inform decision making.
This is a varied role where you’ll get exposure to lots of different areas within the finance function of a SaaS company. It’s perfect if you’re keen to explore your interests and gain a solid grounding across multiple aspects of finance.

- Prepare the payroll for our accountants (including commission calculations) and manage associated schemes (e.g. pension contributions).

- Manage the banking for our much smaller Hong Kong and US companies.
- Support the Head of Finance (your line manager) to:
- Create the annual budget.
- Support on ad-hoc projects and data analysis requests.
Who we’re looking for
You’ve got some experience in a finance or operations role, or you can demonstrate that you’ve built the relevant skills in another setting and are ready to learn more.
- You’re organised and methodical, with strong attention to detail that helps keep things running smoothly and accurately.
- You enjoy solving problems and thinking critically about how things can be improved, streamlined or automated.
- You’re quick to learn new systems and tools, you might not have used platforms like Xero or Salesforce before, but you’re keen to get stuck in.
- You take ownership of your work, following through on tasks and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
- You’re proactive and hands-on, excited to go beyond your core responsibilities to improve how we work and help make it a success.
- Being a proficient user of Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot table, x-lookup) is a bonus.
- Having an educational background in Finance, Accounting or a Business related discipline is desirable, but not essential.
Working together
We’re a small but mighty team of 3 within Finance (this role included). You’ll be line managed by the Head of Finance and will be working very closely with our Finance Lead too. You’ll also have regular contact with most people across the Unifrog, especially our partner-facing teams and the People team. Senior Fundraiser for Trusts and Foundations 2025
About the organisation
CARAS is a dynamic and exciting charity offering holistic support to refugees and people seeking asylum. We pride ourselves on coupling the expertise of our staff team with strong values that mean we always place the voices, needs and wants of our group members at the heart of all that we do. We know that this is a transformative way of working. Our Strategy, Monitoring Framework and Values were all written with full participation from our group members.
Our Values are:
Kindness. CARAS will nurture all who are part of our community, helping everyone to develop their skills, talents and interests.
Justice. CARAS will strive for social justice following a rights-based approach in all of our work and challenging instances when rights are not upheld in wider society.
Empowerment. CARAS works alongside people, recognising and respecting their skills and strengths and striving together for better outcomes.
‘With’ not ‘for’. CARAS will put the voices, opinions, experiences and needs of its community members at the heart of all that we do.
CARAS is a thriving organisation with a highly motivated, friendly and experienced staff team, bolstered by the generous support of equally skilled volunteers and trustees who come from many walks of life. We are impactful across a range of measures that demonstrate the life-changing work we do and are proud to receive testimonials from our group members that bring our impact to life.
The Senior Fundraiser for Trusts and Foundations will be our lead fundraiser, drawing in support and expertise from across the team. They will take ownership of identifying funding sources, refining a strategy, forecasting our fundraising income, and building strong relationships with donors, bringing the experiences of our group members to life in fundraising communications. They will line management a full-time fundraiser who specialises in individual giving while the Senior Fundraiser for Trusts and Foundations will lead on grant writing.
In the last 5 years, CARAS has had huge success, more than trebling our income and enabling us to expand our staff team and therefore our reach. We are a highly impactful organisation that is often looked to for our insight in the sector. We have an ambitious three-year strategy, co-produced with group members, staff, volunteers, trustees and partner organisations, that will launch in September 2025 and guide our current work.
This is an exciting role that comes with many varied commitments, expectations and timescales. We are seeking applicants who want to be at the forefront of change, striving to improve the rights, entitlements and day-to-day experiences of refugees and people seeking asylum. You will need to be able to show how your skills and experiences fit the role, as well as possessing a drive for social change in support of under-served people. Within this role, you will have scope to shape and secure the future of CARAS.
You will be supported in a variety of ways, including by an expert team of staff around you who will collaborate with you and work together as needed; a highly professional Board of Trustees who you will work with at key points throughout the year and who are available for consultation and advice as needed; robust and effective systems; and a network of organisations and funders who share CARAS’ goals. Additionally, you will have regular and detailed supervision with your line manager, and you can access our Employee Assistance Programme at any time.
This opportunity comes at a very exciting time. CARAS has been piloting a 4 day week from since the 1st of January 2025, meaning that all staff work 20% less time for 100% pay. Full time employees reduced their hours to 4 days per week. We have seen this be a huge boost to staff wellbeing and will become part of our commitment to care for staff as well as our community members.
We are also preparing for a future in which CARAS continues to grow, mature and develop, standing as a highly respected, impactful organisation with a £1million income by 2028.

ABOUT THE POLITICS PROJECT
We support young people to use their voice by providing them with outstanding democratic education. We work with young people, teachers and politicians to help them to learn, teach and engage in politics. We are a non-partisan organisation working across the UK.
We also coordinate the Democracy Classroom network, a partnership between over 100 civil society organisations that supports young people to engage in elections.
The Politics Project delivers Digital Dialogue: Wales, which supports young people to have meaningful conversations with the politicians that represent them, building trust and relationships on both sides. Young people gain the knowledge, skills and confidence to engage in the democratic process through informed interactions with their elected representatives.
These interactions take place both online and in-person, in classrooms across Wales.
Since 2021 over 5550 young people, 130 teachers and 130 Welsh politicians (including the leaders of four political parties represented in the Senedd) have taken part in the programme.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Programme Coordinator will plan, arrange and facilitate Dialogue sessions, where learners question and discuss issues relevant to young people with their political representatives. The post holder will also support schools and colleges to deliver Youth Hustings for the 2026 Senedd and 2027 Local elections, giving learners the opportunity to meet, and ask questions to, candidates standing in their area.
The Politics Project wants Digital Dialogue: Wales to fundamentally change the way that young people and politicians interact across Wales. Help us to make sure that young people get their voices heard.
Working with the Head of Programmes and the Digital Dialogue: Wales Programme Lead, the post holder would support the delivery and growth of Digital Dialogue: Wales, allowing more young people, teachers and politicians to take part. This is a fast-paced role in a small but growing team.
While fluency in Welsh is preferred, it is not a requirement for this role.
The post holder will:
- Work with the Head of Programmes and the Digital Dialogue: Wales Programme Lead to support the delivery of the Digital Dialogue: Wales programme.
- Provide online, and occasional in-school, support for teachers delivering Digital Dialogue, Youth Hustings, teacher and politician training sessions.
- Support the recruitment of teachers and local and national politicians across Wales to take part in the programme.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with those teachers and politicians.
- Manage and keep up to date the database, collecting and inputting information and producing reports when required. Assist with monitoring and evaluation.
- Provide administrative support for the Digital Dialogue: Wales programme and other programmes and activities delivered by The Politics Project.
The Politics Project is based in London, but the post holder for this role will be based in Wales. They will usually work from home, though we would expect the post holder to come to the London office once a month and attend in person meetings in Wales as required. It is an 18-month contract (including a 6-month probation period), with extension possible subject to funding. The hours of work are 37.5 hrs per week. Occasional travel to elsewhere in the UK and working unsocial hours in evenings and at weekends may be required.
Benefits:
- 30 days’ holiday plus Bank Holidays and three days of additional holiday between Christmas and New Year.
- Friendly and inclusive environment.
- Professional development opportunities, to upskill and train you.
- The opportunity to make a real difference to young people’s lives, helping them to develop the skills and knowledge they need to give them a voice in their society and shape their communities.

You can form good relationships with a range of people from different backgrounds and perspectives. You can negotiate, persuade, problem solve and be flexible to meet stakeholder needs. You will have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
You will be IT literate, comfortable working with video conferencing technology and other forms of digital communication.
Above all, you have outstanding organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to work under pressure and identify priorities. You will effectively deliver against set targets to agreed deadlines.
