The Role 

Multiple Disadvantage refuge workers provide specialist support services to women with multiple needs, who have experienced domestic, or sexual violence and who have mental illness or use substances problematically.

You will work as part of the Refuge Team to enhance provision to women who may face additional barriers to accessing refuge or maintaining their space in supported accommodation.  This role will be located over two boroughs, and you will have a small caseload across several sites. You will undertake risk assessments, safety plans and identify support needs in relation to move on such as accessing benefits, setting up utilities, budgeting, ensuring safety measures are in place and to support them to maintain their tenancy. You will provide solution focused casework, whilst ensuring the service users voice is heard throughout. Providing support with life skills and practical support in relation to skills that may not yet have been developed.

You will enhance the refuge service by providing ad hoc advice and capacity building for the refuge team in working with women who experience additional disadvantage.  You will contribute to the smooth running of the refuge, including admissions of survivors.  You will work with women to devise a support plan that meets their immediate practical and emotional needs and starts the process of recovery, linking women into more specialist support services where required.  You will assist your colleagues with the smooth running of the refuge ensuring that rents and service charges are paid, rooms are available, organising repairs and responding to crisis situations.

Accountabilities

· Provide Solution-focused casework interventions with women who have experienced VAWG and severe and multiple disadvantage

· Provide emotional support using a trauma informed approach

· Ensure ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with service users within an attitude of ‘positive risk taking’

· Provide support with life skills, including practical assistance where skills are not yet developed

· Maintain accurate case notes and up to date records

· Contribute to the completion of outcomes reports and funding returns when required

· Complete risk assessments and safety and support planning to meet the individual needs of service users  

· Build and maintain supportive relationships with women, empowering them to access services

· Involve service users in the design, development and delivery of the service

· Promote coordinated, joined-up service delivery for service users between violence against women services and drug and alcohol agencies, mental health, housing, health and legal agencies.

· Attend and contribute to MARAC as appropriate

· Be self-motivated to research processes and services in order to fully support and advocate for the women. 

· Attend regular supervision sessions with your Line Manager.

Our organisation relies on the effectiveness of its ICT in order to provide support to our service users. We have contracts with external providers for our IT, phone, mobile and internet infrastructure.

We are looking for an ICT Coordinator to provide parental leave cover between July and December 2025. The role is primarily based in our Beckenham office and will be part-time, working 22.5 hours per week ideally from Tuesday to Thursday. You will provide a primary technology point of contact for a diversely located workforce who are equipped with both PC and Smartphone technology to help to deliver our services across five London boroughs.

We are looking for a Registered Nurse or Health and Care Professional to lead our work in this area, developing and overseeing the strategy for Aftercare at EAAA and providing direct clinical support to a team of Clinical Liaison Officers. You will take the lead on Safeguarding within the Charity ensuring compliance and investigating any safeguarding incidents reported.

You can be based in either Norwich or Cambridge and will be required travel across EAAA’s four main counties of operation (Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire), occasionally working out of hours to meet patients and support the work of your team. About Coram Ambitious for Adoption RAA

Ambitious for Adoption is an established regional adoption agency that is organised on a hub and spoke service model. The activities of adopter recruitment and assessment of prospective adopters, the adoption panel, child placement support and the overall governance of the regional adoption agency is located at Coram Campus in Bloomsbury in London.

The activities of family finding and statutory adoption support (including families/individuals seeking adoption support in the area) is provided by Coram regional adoption agency staff located within the partner local authorities, alongside the wider children’s and multidisciplinary teams to ensure best practice for children where adoption becomes the plan. Our regional adoption partner agencies are: City of London, London Boroughs of Harrow, Bromley, Hillingdon, Kensington & Chelsea, Westminster, Redbridge, Waltham Forest, and Slough Childrenfirst. The service is focussed on best outcomes for children and building strong support for adoptive families. The RAA has a dedicated governance board made up of senior representatives of participating local authorities. This is an exciting role, building upon the very positive outcomes emerging from the delivery of the RAA since 2019 and taking forward the outcomes of an RAA review and adoption modernisation agenda with the benefits of an outstanding Ofsted rate VAA and proven record of Coram’s dedication to children.

About the role

Coram Ambitious for Adoption is a unique Regional Adoption Agency, being a Voluntary Adoption Agency commissioned to deliver the adoption services for nine local authorities.

This role is a Coram Appointment to lead the RAA operations across our local authority partners providing professional leadership staff and services and outcomes for children in adoption consistent with best practice and fulfilment of statutory and regulatory requirements.

The Role

The Head of Operations role holder will lead the Facilities, Logistics and Welcome Desk teams in the effective delivery of the day-to-day operational functions. They will also be integral in developing and implementing building and facilities improvement strategies and lead on the SU's compliance measures, including Health and Safety and Governance. This position is essential for the SU in ensuring robust alignment with external legislation and requirements, and ensuring relevant business continuity and risk management across the organisation.

Reporting into the Directors of Social Enterprise and People, Equity and Organisational Development, the role holder will work closely with senior leadership colleagues, and also manage a number of direct reports from their areas. 

We are looking for someone with experience of managing, influencing and motivating different groups of staff, stakeholders and managers to deliver on operational and strategic plans within a complex organisation. Knowledge of managing and reporting on different and multiple legislative frameworks specifically around Health and Safety, Business Continuity and Major Incident planning is required for this role, as is understanding of managing capital projects through working with facilities teams and external contractors.

Salary: Grade E - £55,439 - £61,528

Hours: 35 (1.0 FTE) although open to flexible working requests such as Part-Time hours or Job Shares where possible.
