The post will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer, provide support for Trust Board (and associated subcommittees), and will work across the entire Trust to develop and deliver the highest standards of governance and compliance. It will also support and contribute to the work of the Executive Leadership Team of the Trust, which is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of the organisation
Key responsibilities for the role include:
- Ensuring good governance through policy development, coordination and support of the Board of Trustees , local governing bodies and other subcommittees, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Committee and meeting support, including servicing Trust Board and a range of other subcommittees.
- Oversight of the recruitment and induction of trustees and governors.
- Support to the CEO and other senior leaders with complaints, investigations and other formal hearings.
- Support the CEO in their role as Data Protection Officer for the trust, taking administrative responsibility for key duties as required.

- Have worked in the not-for-profit or education sector and have an understanding of the critical role that good governance can play in making an organisation impactful and effective.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The main responsibility of this role is to assist the Head of Resources in the efficient and smooth running of financial functional activities of the charity.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Process and prepare financial and business forms for the purpose of checking account balances, facilitating purchases, etc.
2. Perform routine calculations to produce analyses and reports as requested by the Head of Resources and assisting in developing and maintaining all financial reporting within the charity.
3. Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of the charity’s annual income and expenditure budget.
4. Assisting in monthly bank reconciliations and other balance sheet accounts.
5. Dealing with finance related queries from staff, senior management, supporters, and suppliers.
6. Maintenance and reconciliation of direct debits, standing orders and other online donations.
7. Supporting the financial controller in the planning and preparation of statutory accounts and the annual audit.
8. Ensuring accurate gift aid records are maintained for supporters and conducting the annual gift aid claim.
9. Assisting in the maintenance of all accounting records on an ongoing basis to ensure:.
a. All income and expenditure are properly approved, banked and processed in a timely manner.
b. Monthly cash/cheque management and bank reconciliations are carried out and recorded.
10. Undertaking any other accounting duties that may be required and providing cover when other staff are absent.

Role Summary:
The Communications Executive will work closely with the Head of Communications and Advocacy to implement our communications and media strategy, contributing to organisational, engagement, and brand awareness goals.
You will manage digital channel growth, content calendars, and deliver social media plans to enhance our digital presence and position as experts in global health, social justice and gender equality.

Essential (1-3 years) experience:

- in SEO implementation: Conduct keyword research to guide content creation, optimise website and article content for search engines, and monitor, analyse, and report on website SEO performance.
- in social media channel and content management, growing audiences, increasing visibility and engagement.
- in email marketing: Design and execute email marketing campaigns to engage Global Health 50/50’s audience, drive traffic to the website, and promote events or publications. Segment email lists and personalise content to increase effectiveness.
- in digital marketing, creating advertising campaigns across digital platforms.
Desirable experience:

The Development Manager (Individual Giving) will manage the strategic development of Individual Giving, identifying opportunities to drive growth in this area. - Drive growth of Trusts and Foundations income especially at the five- and six-figure level, with a particular view to supporting unrestricted income and major projects in the organisation’s pipeline.
- Proactively manage a personal portfolio of Trusts and Foundations, regularly meeting and engaging with prospective funders to pitch proposals and check-in around expectations.
- Liaise with key internal stakeholders to develop accurate, compelling funding applications in line with deadlines set by funders.

- Drive the Trusts and Foundations prospecting process and increase the range of prospects approached for support, utilising prospect research tools and securing introductions from our network.

The Regional Fundraisers role is to mobilise and maximise local fundraising activities in order to raise income to support the work of the charity. Working to the Director of Fundraising and with other senior fundraising staff, develop and implement a comprehensive regional fundraising strategy to maximize income generation and donor engagement within the region. You will be required to be proactive within your area to identify opportunities for fundraising and raise awareness of the Charity as well as identify, cultivate, and grow relationships with community groups, schools, individuals, and corporate donors within the region, focusing on donor retention and growth. You will also organise and coordinate fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives within your region, including virtual and in-person events when applicable.
This is a home-based role covering a designated geographical area which you are required to live within, or be willing and able to relocate to. There will be extensive travel across the region with the potential to be based in a local visitor centre at least 2 days per week.

You will work in a flexible and collaborative manner and be willing to travel within your designated area and across the UK as required.
