Asylum seekers, refugees and victims of trafficking face significant barriers and we are totally focussed on supporting each individual to overcome those barriers. Our core programmes tackle a key barrier, which is a lack of functional English.

We are seeking a Head of Operations who aspires to be a Charity Director or CEO. They will hold extensive responsibilities for our programmes, delivery, IT, impact evaluation and other key areas. They will have excellent relationship management skills and display great leadership skills. 

LEAH is on a journey following the acquisition of another charity and the Head of Operations will have a crucial leadership role in managing change as well as overseeing the delivery of day-to-day operations.

Are you an experienced project manager who is passionate about climate action? 

At Community First Yorkshire, we will be delivering a three-year National Lottery funded partnership programme designed to inspire and empower communities and the VCSE sector to take meaningful climate action. We need someone to lead on this exciting, collaborative initiative, shaping a greener, more sustainable future for North Yorkshire.

What you’ll be doing 

In this role, you’ll be leading of team of four, including two Climate Action Officers, an Impact Communications Officer and a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer. You’ll use your project management skills to co-ordinate and implement the Village Green programme, overseeing the delivery of activities, finances, marketing material and monitoring and evaluation work. You will work closely with our programme partners to maintain strong governance and build connections with our wider stakeholders to amplify the impact of climate action efforts.
Part of your role will be overseeing the co-design elements of the programme, ensuring community engagement is inclusive, impactful and innovative. You’ll also support with the wider VCSE sector in North Yorkshire, offering guidance on climate action initiatives and commissioning external expertise to deliver key elements of the programme.

What we’re looking for 

We are seeking candidates with all-round excellent project management skills, who can lead a team whilst overseeing the core elements of the programme. Ideally, you’ll understand climate issues and have a commitment to advancing sustainability efforts. You’ll have experience of monitoring, evaluation, and stakeholder collaboration, working with funders to share valuable insights.

The Role

The Community Centre Manager will play a key role in the leadership and smooth running of The Edward Woods centre, managing change, growth and performance as agreed with the CEO. Working closely with the UPG Management team, employees, partners, contractors, volunteers and other local organisations, the Manager will work to ensure the

Community Centre is a vibrant, well-managed facility that operates within a sustainable framework for the benefit of residents and organisations. They will also promote the profile, role and impact of the Centre.

Duties and Responsibilities

Management of the Community Centre

• Manage the operations of the Community Centre, its staff and the development and delivery of activities and facilities in line with the business and strategic plan.

• Ensure compliance with employment law and that we follow good practice regarding HR.

• Contribute to the planning, development, implementation and delivery of the business and strategic plan and present regular progress updates to the UPG Management team.

• Oversee the maintenance of the building - including building maintenance and improvement

programmes.

• Manage and monitor all aspects of risk assessments, health and safety and security as required by regulation or good practice including, in conjunction, the review and updating of

policies and procedures.

Management of staff and Volunteers

• Create a positive working environment in which equality and diversity are well managed, dignity at work is upheld and staff and volunteers can achieve their best.

• Ensure effective management of HR including recruitment, supervision and development of

employees, contractors, and volunteers, including carrying out DBS checks as

necessary.

• Oversee the Community Centre’s complaints procedure, and the proper handling, investigation and resolution of any complaints against the Centre, its staff and volunteers.

Working with Others

• Continue developing and maintaining relationships with various local partners to ensure activities at the Community Centre fit with others provided in the area.

• Positively represent the Centre and the community at partner and other meetings/events to raise the profile of the Community Centre and to ensure the views and needs of the community are prioritised and included.

• Prepare reports for funders, PRM and annual general meetings.

PR/Marketing and Fundraising

• Oversee the development and implementation of an income generation & marketing strategy.

• Develop strategies to promote the use and profile of the Community Centre, maximising use of social media, publicity opportunities and liaison with the local media.

Financial management

• Liaise with the CEO and Finance officer in setting and managing budgets and maintain an overview of the financial position of the Community Centre.

• Code invoices to ensure that income and expenditure is allocated to correct projects.

• Ensure best practice in all financial matters.

Project Management

• Support and oversee the continued delivery of high-quality services and activities.

• Devise and implement robust impact monitoring and evaluation strategies for all projects.

• Ensure all projects are correctly risk assessed and supported.

Edward Woods Community Centre has a small team of employees, tenants, volunteers and a

wide range of activities. it is expected that the post holder will be flexible in assisting in areas of work which go beyond their main duties. In particular, the holder of this post will be expected to assist with covering frontline reception and administrative duties and attendance at and/or supervision of events outside of normal working hours.

Schools Coordinator

We are now recruiting two full-time positions for a Schools Coordinator (Impact Officer) to work as the primary link between partner schools and the CYUK programme.

This youth and education charity empowers diverse 18 to 25-year-olds to tackle educational inequality through a year of full-time volunteering in schools. As mentors, tutors and role models in schools, the charities volunteers support children who are furthest away from opportunity in the UK.

Position: Schools Coordinator (internal title School Impact Officer)

School locations: B29 4HE and B42 2PY - 4 days school based 

Training location: B15 2HU - 1 day per week (with some working from home)

Working schedule: Term-time working (except for the second half of August)

Hours: Working hours are 8:00-4:30, Monday to Friday.

The Role

We have a rewarding opportunity for a School Impact Officer to train, support and develop volunteers and monitor the programme through effective administration, data management and to build a deep partnership between the school and the charity.

The Impact Officer is based predominantly in a school and is the primary link between the partner schools and the programme and is the enabler of the programme delivery.  You will support a team of volunteer mentors, who support school activities by coordinating, managing and evaluating the programme.

The Volunteer Mentors also complete a Leadership and Development programme and you will work with them on a professional development plan to chart their continuous professional development and ready them for employment.

The role is primarily a school-based post from Monday to Thursday and is based in a regional venue on most Fridays. See locations above.

Overview  

At Young Roots, we want to see a compassionate and welcoming society for young refugees and asylum seekers in the UK. We work alongside young people seeking safety in the UK, building trusted relationships, providing practical and emotional support and promoting young people’s rights and power.   

Our youth clubs and casework are transformative for young refugees, allowing young people who have fled danger, had traumatic journeys and who are often here alone, to find community and connection, have a space to be a young person and access support in addressing a whole range of practical challenges they face. We also draw on our evidence from working every day with young refugees and asylum seekers to call for change to the laws and policies which are harming young people.  

The Youth Development Coordinator is responsible for the development and delivery of our youth development programme for young refugees and asylum seekers. 

You will be focused on ensuring our programme activities achieve our outcomes, are in line with our strategy and identify areas for change and development under the direction of the Head of Services. An excellent communicator and skilled at working with partners, you will be key in the implementation and running all of our weekly youth activities, including a Youth Club and Advice and Support Hub working closely with the Youth Development Worker and having oversight of our weekly Young Women’s group. 

As an experienced manager, you will lead our team of skilled youth workers, working alongside the Brent team to provide holistic support to young asylum seekers and refugees in Brent.

About you

You have significant HR management experience, with a CIPD level 7/equivalent qualification or expert by experience. Your experience includes project planning and implementation, employee relations, TUPE and demonstrable knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice. The BMA is the trade union and professional body for doctors in the UK.  They represent, support and negotiate on behalf of all UK doctors and medical students.

Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, the Group VAT Accountant will be responsible for ensuring that the BMA Group (BMA and BMJPG) properly accounts for VAT and meets their statutory return, including overseas equivalents. You will proactively ensure that the finance systems and internal processes across the group are compliant and will manage relationships with external advisors and HMRC, as the organisation’s VAT Subject Matter Expert.

• Undertake annual reviews of the VAT position, including any exemptions applied during the year.
• Proactively ensure that the finance systems and internal processes across the Group are compliant with the required tax legislation and remain alert to any future changes.
• Proactively manage the relationship with external advisors and HMRC.
• Liaise with Group Auditors, providing support and information for financial audits, preparation of financial statements and other requests.
• Compile and communicate appropriate tax guidance and training wherever needed within the group, liaising with external advisors as necessary.
• Provide non-finance managers with insight, creativity and support whilst new business proposals are developed for proposed new income streams

To be successful as a Group VAT Accountant you'll ideally have:

• Accounting Qualification (CCAB) (essential)
• Significant experience in VAT within a commercial organisation (essential)
• Previous experience of working in a VAT compliance role (essential)
• Knowledge of applying VAT law and how it affects corporations.
• Knowledge and understanding of UK, EU and global VAT compliance issues

As part of our ongoing strategy for growth and national impact, SCAA is seeking a motivated, strategic and creative individual to take ownership of our marketing and communications function — helping raise the profile of the service, strengthen brand visibility, and support our ambitious income goals. The Marketing and Communications Manager will be responsible for the strategic oversight and development of SCAA’s brand, marketing and communications function. They will lead and manage a small in-house team as well as external consultants and contractors, as required  — ensuring that all content, campaigns and communications align with our brand, engage our audiences effectively, and support organisational goals across fundraising, awareness and supporter engagement. With a strong focus on brand management, digital growth, and content oversight, this role will ensure that SCAA’s voice is consistent, compelling and clearly connected to our ambition that no one in Scotland should die because help cannot get there in time.

This role will be based either in Perth, at Scone Airport, or at our Aberdeen base at Aberdeen Airport, where our emergency response helicopters and operational crew are located.  The usual hours and days of work will be Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, however this role may involve occasional evening or weekend work, as well as the occasional requirement to provide media on-call cover. SCAA also supports flexible and hybrid working arrangements. 

As part of a dynamic, purpose-driven team, you will work closely with fundraising, operations, senior leadership and frontline crew — ensuring our communications reflect the life-saving impact of our work and inspire support across Scotland.

About You:

• Previous experience in a marketing and communications management role.
• Demonstrable expertise in digital marketing, including website optimisation, SEO, email marketing and paid social.
• Hands-on experience using key digital tools such as Google Ads, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), and Google Tag Manager (GTM) to manage, track and evaluate performance.
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and overseeing campaign delivery and creative production.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and segmentation tools to support targeted communications.
• Experience working with external agencies and creative suppliers.
• Experience of working within budgets.
• Proven ability to lead on brand development and ensure consistency across teams, platforms and outputs.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence across an organisation.

Interviews will take place at our base at Perth Airport in Scone during either the week commencing the 30th June or 7th July.  We may invite candidates to participate in a second stage interview in person or remotely during the week commencing 14th July.

This role will be responsible for all aspects of finance and CRM administrative support for the operational success of the charity and the successful candidate will want to be part of a faith-based organisation, committed to the mission of the charity both in the UK and the Holy Land.

We have grown rapidly in the last two years and given the prominence of the Israel/Gaza/Lebanon conflict in our domestic media, we anticipate further growth as the charity becomes more prominent and the needs for essential support become greater. Therefore you will be working in a very busy, high growth environment, managing your time between several different tasks and priorities, which may change frequently. You will need to learn quickly, adapt to changing patterns of work throughout the year and, once trained, be capable of working without close supervision in a small flexible team.

The role will be required to help with regular office duties and finance handling; you will need to be familiar with all aspects of administrative and finance support for the operational success of the charity. You will need to be comfortable working in a faith-based organisation, talking to supporters and clergy across the UK and with our partners in the Holy Land.

The successful candidate will be office-based in Kenilworth.

As the Head of Connect & Nourish you will be responsible for providing a welcoming, accessible and nurturing environment based on all aspects of food from sourcing to delivery. This role is much more than delivering healthy, nutritious food, it is also about encouraging and enabling social and community cohesion through fellowship and support.

You will work closely with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to provide the strong, caring and effective leadership required for GL11 to thrive. You will consult and advise on GL11’s strategy and operational plans, making sure your team’s personal objectives are aligned to the overall plan and are on track to meet the agreed targets.

Through your leadership GL11 will continue to grow and be visible whilst meeting the varying needs of our communities. You will ensure that the welcoming and supportive culture of GL11 continues to inspire and that our vision, values and key aims are a living part of all our work. You will work collaboratively with the community to understand how, together, we can begin to effect system change in all our areas of work. You will use a community development approach and deliver through a range of resources including volunteers.

This role is based at the GL11 Community Hub in Cam, Gloucestershire. Remote working opportunities are very limited as community connection is an important part of the role.
