We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Finance to join our team. If you have a strong background in financial management and a passion for driving organisational success, we'd love to hear from you!

Key requirements for this role:

• Qualified or near qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CIPFA, or demonstrable equivalent experience

• At least 5 years’ experience in a relevant accounting or finance position, preferably within the charity or non-profit sector.

• Proven prior experience of leading and managing a finance team
 

• Solid expertise in budgeting, financial reporting, and financial analysis

• Strong understanding of UK charity accounting, including fund accounting and SORP

• A proactive attitude and the ability to ‘muck in’ with a broad range of duties sometimes outside the scope of the role

• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy, with the ability to identify financial trends and provide clear, insightful narrative analysis.
 

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-financial staff and stakeholders

• Familiarity with housing management systems and practices, as well as of working with Sage 200 would be advantageous

Complex Case Worker

Location: London 

Salary: £26,250 - £34,650 per annum

The post holder will be part of the Insight Platform, Young people’s service and will work with young people who have alcohol related problems, mental health issues and complex needs including drugs, psychological issues, anti-social behaviour, self-harm, or any other co-existing needs. The post holder will improve access to treatment services in the area for this cohort and, will provide a range of interventions for service users in this group including 1 :1 support and group work. 

You will bring a creative driven approach to the role and a willingness to build and nurture a successful and dynamic team focussed on delivering excellence and a quality service to promote and enhance the performance and reputation of Waythrough. You will be able to work seamlessly within professional partnerships to deliver outstanding services. An engaging communicator, you will have worked in a similar or NHS setting managing a team working with clients with substance misuse issues and/or complex needs.

We are seeking an experienced BACP accredited Counsellor to join our friendly counselling team at the UK’s leading support charity for people living with chronic kidney disease (CKD). You will provide professional psychological support to adults through a series of regular counselling sessions to help bring about effective change and improve client wellbeing.

Based remotely, or working in our office in Alton Hampshire, you will deliver sessions by telephone or online, working with clients facing challenging issues. We'll provide training to develop your knowledge of the impact of kidney disease as well as CPD opportunities, regular internal case reviews and shared learning sessions

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Building Recovery coordinator (HMYOI Deerbolt being the community) to support Waythrough’s service delivery within Reconnected to Health in HMYOI Deerbolt.As a Building Recovery coordinator, you will provide 1:1 support for service users, who have completed most of their recovery journey with a Recovery Coordinator and are now in sustained recovery. You will take a “whole person” holistic approach to ensure that every service user’s package of care encompasses all areas of their wellbeing, to achieve the best possible outcomes for every person. 
As a Building Recovery coordinator, you will also recruit train and supervise peer mentors who will support the service alongside yourself with group delivery, mutual aid, focus groups and any project work.

• Manage a service user caseload, devising, implementing and reviewing on-going recovery plans and treatment, liaising closely with the full range of workers and skills within the service team, including family members and significant others as appropriate.
• Carry out focus groups and promote equality diversity and inclusion through project work and promotion of the service
• Recruit, train and supervise peer mentors who are an integral part of our service delivery and lived experience
• Work collaboratively with partner agencies to undertake shared assessments, key working and interventions to promote individual service user progression from engagement, through structured treatment to self-sustained recovery.
• Facilitate service user access to treatment and community resources to increase recovery and social capital, supporting service users and their families within their local community To lead effective case management for allocated service users, including on-going processes such as risk assessments, risk management plans and safeguarding assessments and plans. This includes the effective use of an online case management system.

About the Service

This service sits within our Complex Needs and Community Services and are informal drop-in group for Refugees and Asylum Seekers. The groups centre on improving the emotional wellbeing and mental health of refugees and asylum seekers, providing these individuals with a safe space to connect with peers. To help these individuals engage with diverse creative activities and develop their confidence and self-esteem whilst helping them integrate into Hertfordshire and the UK.

Service Objectives

• To provide advice, information, onward referral and holistic support to clients with mental ill health.
• Support to build social networks and reduce isolation whilst settling into the Hertfordshire community this includes building a sustainable and empowering peer support network and building confidence and self-esteem.
• To ensure that the safety and wellbeing of the client is monitored and reviewed regularly.
• To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
• Embed a person centred and solution focused approach in all aspects of the role.
• To work in a trauma informed way including awareness of the 6 principles of trauma informed practice, putting the clients emotional and practical needs at the forefront of this work.

Key Responsibilities:

• The purpose of this post is to promote and facilitate our Flourish peer support groups.
• To play an integral role in instilling HMN’s values through the Flourish refugee and asylum seeker service.
• Promoting and facilitating the Flourish groups

Elders Voice, a charity supporting older people, are excited to be joining a consortium of organisations, that will work together on making Brent an age friendly borough. Led by the Brent Pensioner’s Forum, the consortium’s aim is to make Brent a place where people can live healthy and active later lives; a place where the environment, activities and services enable older people to enjoy life, participate in society and be valued for their contribution.

What will you do? 

You will work with a highly motivated staff and volunteer team to deliver a quality outreach advice and support service for individuals with an acquired brain injury in Gloucestershire.

We provide specialist recovery support and respite through our centre-based Enablement Service and outreach support through our Community Links service.

Headway Gloucestershire is a busy, growing charity providing services to people with an acquired brain injury and their families and carers. Every year we are challenged to raise funds to help deliver our services.

Our centre-based Enablement Service is the heart of Headway Gloucestershire. Responsibilities/ Role

• Support and develop relationships across the community income stream from new and existing partners with a plan to maintain and grow income in subsequent years in line with our fundraising strategy.
• Undertake research into potential new campaigns and advances in community fundraising.
• Grow and steward a pipeline of new and existing audiences and fundraising opportunities, ensuring to always maintain the highest quality supporter journey.

About The Role

This role will be part of our partnership with a leading bank which aims to build financial resilience and break the cycles that lead to financial exclusion and poor financial health negatively impacting people’s housing situations. You will deliver high quality housing advice and advocacy in line with the Birmingham hub’s local community priorities: supporting families experiencing homelessness, improving conditions in the Private Rented Sector and reducing barriers for those experiencing multiple disadvantages. This will involve working alongside people who are experiencing homelessness and bad housing to identify issues facing local communities.  You will plan and deliver casework to individuals and communities to resolve their housing situation, networking and engaging with community groups, local organisations and individuals to understand local housing issues and raise awareness of housing rights.

About You

You will have the ability to listen to, engage and work with individuals and communities and with all stakeholders, including running group workshops and presentations. You have experience, knowledge of and/or proven ability in housing and homelessness advice and advocacy, with the ability to progress to specialist level knowledge. You will be able to carry out casework related interviews, maintaining detailed case records and offering advice and support to clients so they can make informed decisions as well as deliver group workshops and presentations.

This service is aligned to smoking cessation principles as outlined by the National Centre for Smoking Cessation and Training (NCSNT).

You should be passionate about promoting positive mental health, have excellent verbal and communication skills along with the confidence to promote Smoking Cessation messages, and the service internally and externally.

About the role
