About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead marketing and communications activity across fundraising and retail, supporting the growth and visibility of our services.
 
You'll be working within our passionate Income Generation team, playing a key role in developing high-impact campaigns that drive income, brand awareness and supporter engagement across North Yorkshire.
 
What you’ll be doing:
·       Create and deliver compelling, data-driven marketing campaigns across digital, print, social and PR.
·       Develop content and multi-media assets to support donor engagement, fundraising campaigns and events.
·       Collaborate with fundraising, retail and communications teams to align messaging and strategy.
·       Manage marketing budgets and line-manage the Marketing Officer and volunteers.

·       Experience in delivering end-to-end marketing campaigns, including digital and social media.
·       Strong copywriting, content creation and project management skills.
·       A proactive, collaborative attitude with the ability to work across teams.
·       Understanding of marketing/fundraising regulations and budget management.

Ensuring all financial reporting and management, cash handling, daily banking and security procedures are followed.

Ensuring donated goods are processed according to set standards and timeframes, and that pricing is in line with charity guidelines.

Key Criteria: 

Solid retail experience, preferably in fashion/clothing.

Experience in managing a team. Managing volunteers would be an advantage.

Comprehensive understanding of retailing and merchandising display.

Experience of cash handling and financial management procedures (including completion of sales records).

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-first attitude and the ability to communicate with tact and discretion.

Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload, balancing competing demands.

Job Title: Landlord Liaison Officer 

Location: Luton, floating support service based within the office and around different locations within the community

Salary: £26,200

Shift Pattern: 12 month fixed term contract working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday between 09:00 - 17:00. You may be required to work outside these hours as necessary to service requirements.

About the role

This is an exciting new role within a brand new contract to support the referral process from the Housing Solutions teams! The service focuses on providing floating and wraparound support to single applicants who are at risk of homelessness and are able to live independently, by providing a housing support plan towards resolving housing needs and support them into long-term, stable housing.

In this role, you will bridge the gap between single homeless individuals seeking accommodation and landlords within the private rented sector. You will identify and secure housing opportunities for our participants, ensuring that properties align with their needs and financial capabilities. You will build and maintain positive relationships with landlords, facilitating open communication to address concerns, manage expectations, and promote collaborative solutions. You will act as the main point of contact for landlords, providing necessary information, assistance, and resources regarding tenant management and the rental process to foster a supportive environment for both parties.

About you

This role is ideal for someone who has a real passion towards helping to end the cycle of homelessness, providing support to those who need it to live in stable accommodation. You will thrive in a person centred environment with real compassion and a non-judgmental attitude, understanding that people face different life experiences and sometimes just need that extra support to get back on their feet. We're looking for someone with a genuine passion and felt purpose to help people, challenge stigma, and make a real difference to people’s lives!

• Experience of working with people of with homelessness or housing support needs and/or a good understanding of the sector
• Understanding of the housing and social needs of people with multiple and complex needs
• Knowledge of the private rental market, able to research and find new landlords to build and sustain relationships with

UK Hybrid Working: A minimum of 40% of working time is spent face to face, either in London office, or as a result of external engagement or travel for WaterAid. WaterAid is located at Canary Wharf, London and this will be your location and contract base.

About the Team

The WaterAid Legacy & In Memory team is responsible for increasing supporter and public awareness and consideration to give a gift in their will and/or an in memory gift. We deliver an audience led communication programme using diverse channels and products. The team deliver supporter journeys, engage staff in the cross promotion of gifts in wills and in memory giving and all aspects of legacy gift case management. We contribute to 14% of WaterAid’s voluntary income, meaning you’ll be a vital part of helping us reach even more people with life-saving clean water. 

About the Role

As our creative and innovative Legacy & In Memory Marketing Officer, you will deliver a range of compelling communications to increase consideration for legacy giving and implement personalised stewardship journeys for our legacy and in memory supporters, as well as delivering engaging thank you events. 

In this role, you will plan, manage and execute print, email and digital campaigns across the marketing funnel, as well as deliver exceptional stewardship, through personal communications and events, to our committed supporters.

You’ll also: 

• Prepare and agree campaign strategies using data, analysis and insight that meet specific objectives within the LIM Team plans
• Undertake Project Management responsibilities required for the successful and timely delivery of campaigns
• Manage relationships with external agencies and suppliers to ensure the effective and timely delivery of campaigns 
• Manage a legacy and high value supporter event programme
• Operate a rigorous test to learn methodology, regularly monitoring, evaluating and analysing campaigns

Requirements

You’ll be passionate about using your experience in fundraising and marketing to make a difference by creating inspiring and supporter-led communications that effectively raises consideration for legacy giving and uncovers new prospects and pledgers. You will steward our existing legacy and in memory supporters through engaging supporter journeys and events.

To be successful, you’ll need: 

• Proven experience in a direct marketing or supporter engagement role
• Proven experience in delivering and/or supporting on events
• Experience of developing and implementing supporter journeys across multiple channels
• Working style that reflects WaterAid’s values of Respect, Accountability, Courage, Collaboration, Integrity and Innovation.

Although not essential, we also prefer you to have:

• A recognised direct marketing qualification
• Experience of legacy or in memory fundraising
• Experience of working in the voluntary/ fundraising sector

Job Title: Service Manager

Location: Luton, floating support service based within the office and around different locations as required

Salary: £35,000

Shift Pattern: 12 month fixed term contract working 20 hours per week Monday to Friday between 09:00 - 17:00 on rota. You may be required to work outside these hours as necessary to service requirements. You will also take part of the out of hours management on call rota. 

About the role

This is an exciting new role to lead a brand new contract which supports the referral process from the Housing Solutions teams! The service focuses on providing floating and wraparound support to single applicants who are at risk of homelessness and are able to live independently, by providing a housing support plan towards resolving housing needs and support them into long-term, stable housing.

As a Service Manager, you will oversee pilot operations, providing supervision and support to the team, case workers, and other external stakeholders. You will handle referrals to/from councils, allocate referrals to the team, and engage with council's data analysis and reporting to ensure continuous improvement and accountability. You will escalate any complex high risk or high needs cases to the council for reverse referrals and undertake regular monitoring and tracking of Housing Support Officers and Landlord Liaison performance to endure that KPIs and outcomes are being delivered.

Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse Specialist (Girls and Gangs)

This is a new role focusing on working with girls who are at risk of entering the Criminal Justice System through their associations and links to Urban Street Gangs in Leeds. The Postholder will work on a 1:1 and group basis with girls in Leeds who have been identified by schools and partner agencies as needing additional input. Groups will take place in schools and in the community. The role will carry on essential partnership working across the sector to help improve responses to girls who are at risk. You will work with the purpose of providing appropriate emotional and practical support to young people experiencing sexual exploitation.  Working within a harm reduction ethos, you will be supporting young people to effectively safeguard them and reduce the risk of further exploitation, providing intensive 1-2-1 work and group work within a multi-agency approach.  You will ensure that young people are at the heart of our work to empower and effectively protect them.
