About the role: 

• Lead on the coordination and delivery of the service’s prevention, early intervention, targeted education offers, and youth settings.
• To increase visibility and accessibility of the service amongst children, young people, families, and partners with the aim of increasing referrals into service for specialist support.
• Identifying and responding effectively to potential safeguarding issues.
• Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community.
• Promoting carer, service user and community involvement.
• To be responsible for proactively generating and increasing referrals from relevant partners including utilising data to target specific services/provisions.
• To develop and deliver training programmes aimed at creating awareness of the service alongside delivering early intervention key messages to professionals.

The Energy and Climate Intelligence Unit (ECIU) is a non-profit organisation that supports informed debate on energy and climate change issues in the UK. We provide independent analysis and accessible briefings to the media and other stakeholders to improve understanding of climate-related topics and contribute to evidence-based discussions. Our work covers a range of issues including land use, transport, the power sector, and heating and buildings, with a focus on the UK but with international work too.

This role involves tracking and responding to media, political, and policy debates on CDR, focusing initially on land-based removals and expanding to engineered removals. You will highlight trade-offs, counter misinformation, and support fact-based future debates.

Working closely with our Head of Land and Head of Analysis, you will contribute new analysis, monitor the debate, and help develop communications outputs. This is a unique opportunity to play a role in how the UK engages with one of the most complex and fast-evolving areas of climate policy.

The Marine Society & Sea Cadets (MSSC) is a vibrant and growing charity delivering life changing nautical adventure for young people through the Sea Cadets to give them the best possible head start in life. We also provide personal and professional development opportunities for seafarers with the Marine Society. Working with our staff, cadets, and volunteers, we have built a vision and five-year strategy to take us forward and further improve the astounding contribution already made through our work to the lives of thousands of young people and seafarers, while fully supporting our volunteers who are vital to our success.

We are currently looking for an OTW Project Assistant who will support the delivery of the On The Water project at one of our boating stations in Birmingham. The project provides young people from outside Sea Cadets, age 9-14, the opportunity to get on the water, learn new skills and build confidence through boating activity. This is a very varied and rewarding role that requires someone who is self-motivated, inspiring, organized, creative, tenacious, positive, IT competent and with a real interest in people with a attention to detail and real enthusiasm for the project.

Project delivery takes place between 29 July 2024 and 30 August 2025 when the young people will be attending boating sessions. During this busy time the Project Assistant will be based at the boat station each day to complete registration, manage group change overs, track project targets, encourage survey completion and fill booking gaps. Prior to delivery the role will be focused on supporting the booking process and engaging in community outreach. Once delivery is complete, the Project Assistant role will then predominantly be supporting the evaluation and data collection as well as supporting participants to join their local Sea Cadet unit.

Key Responsibilities

• The welcoming and registration of participants for the On The Water project
• Collecting and uploading daily statistics and figures that show how the project is progressing
• Making new and repeat bookings
• Talking to participants and their parents/carers about the opportunities within Sea Cadets
• Managing a waiting list and reducing drop-outs
• Responsible for the safety and wellbeing of participants alongside the Boat Station staff
• Ensure that participants complete surveys to share their experience of the project and encourage adults to feedback on their young people’s experience
• Attend any meetings as required by the project
• Assist with the evaluation of the On The Water project

Scope of role

The Debt Technical Supervisor is responsible for supporting Debt Advisers to ensure the delivery of accurate, effective, and tailored advice to over-indebted clients. This role involves conducting debt-advice interview observations, reviewing case files, and identifying training needs for advisers. The Debt Technical Supervisor provides real-time support and constructive feedback, helping advisers navigate complex cases and ensuring they have access to the necessary resources and information. Additionally, the role includes auditing delivery partner organisations to prepare them for external reviews and supporting them in meeting compliance and quality standards. The supervisor will collaborate with the Quality Assurance Manager to promote best practices, address risks, and contribute to the continuous professional development of advisers.

Key Responsibilities

Support Debt Advisers in their roles and ensure that the advice provided to over- indebted Clients is accurate, effective and tailored to individuals’ circumstances.

• Conducting debt-advice interview observations.
• Undertaking debt advice file reviews.
• Identifying advisers’ soft skill and technical training needs.
• Providing constructive feedback, and pastoral support, to advisers and their line managers.
• Providing real-time support to advisers, which will include but is not limited to providing guidance in complex matters and provide advisers with sources of information.

Support, and regularly audit delivery partner organisations, ensuring that they are prepared for external reviews of their service in line with the Grant Agreement.

• Ensure partner organisation are kept up to date with the requirements for external assessments.
• Supporting partner organisations with the preparation and review of files and documentation ahead of an external assessment.
• Support partner organisations with the implementation of any remedial actions following an external review and support advisors to identify suitable training to improve areas highlighted.

Ensure project compliance and quality requirements are achieved

• Working closely with the Quality Assurance Mangers to ensure Advisors based at delivery partners have a good awareness and understanding of the quality and service delivery requirements and have active involvement in the delivery of partnership events related to both quality improvement and CPD.
• Working collaboratively to share good practice in performance and quality improvement and to progress key priority areas of work.
• Escalating risks promptly and appropriately and contributing to wider monitoring and reporting requirements.

Ebony Horse Club is a Brixton-based charity that works with young people from low-income backgrounds, using horses as a powerful catalyst to build confidence, aspirations, and life skills.

Key duties and reponsibilities:

Management Role

· Based on the policies of the charity as defined by the Trustees Board (created Oct 2022 AGM), manage the affairs of the charity with due respect for its heritage, status and independence.

· Within those defined policies, take decisions that allow the development of its business activities, liaising with other Trustees as necessary, and report to the Trustees on a regular basis.

· When necessary, liaise on allocation of duties to other Trustees on a cooperative basis.

Farm Cornwall Trustees are seeking applications for the post of Charity Manager.

This is an exciting new role with an expansive remit ranging from dealing with calls and administration on one hand to strategic initiatives including the sourcing of funding; developing the new website and social media to reflect the new ambitions and activities of the charity and the creation of effective databases to evidence the impact of the charity on farming beneficiaries. This role is both ‘hands-on’ and strategic enabling the successful candidate to put their stamp and personality as the ‘backbone’ of the charity on its future development.

This is neither an administrative role nor a strategic role but a unique one which encompasses activities across that spectrum and involves both of these skills.
