Job Title: Volunteer Manager
Location: Based in our central office in Islington (10 minute walk from Highbury and Islington station). You will work in a hybrid approach including regular service visits, office days, and home working.
Salary: £37,000
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:30. You may be required to work outside these hours as per requirements of the role.
About the role
This is a new role at SIG, thus a great opportunity to join our team in supporting with and managing the delivery and implementation of our National Volunteering Strategy. This role plays a pivotal role in shaping and producing a strategy which empowers leaders across the organisation to actively recruit, engage and retain volunteers within their services. You will develop and implement a volunteering strategy which is fit for use, realistic and transferrable throughout the organisation, with a structured programme which ensures a positive volunteer experience.
- Lead the co-creation of the organisation’s National Volunteering Strategy in collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Define clear goals, priorities, and success measures for volunteering across the organisation.
- Develop a clear roadmap for implementation of a volunteer strategy, ensuring alignment with the Group’s wider mission and values.
- Work collaboratively with various teams from operations, people and culture, marketing, finance, and other central teams to support the strategy.
- Design and implement a consistent volunteer recruitment, onboarding and induction process, and manage the sharing of information across the organisation.
- Create and manage volunteer hiring workflows, and ensure these are fit for purpose, and that they align with wider strategies, and system implementation.
- Consult and engage with managers on a regular basis to fully understand and identify volunteering needs across services and co-design a diverse range of volunteer roles that add value and reflect local priorities.

You will have experience in volunteer management, with the understanding of what it entails, what our obligations are, and the difference between employment and volunteers. - Proven experience in developing or managing volunteer programmes, including recruitment, engagement and retention strategies

- In depth understanding of volunteering programmes and the knowledge, skills and ability to create role profiles for volunteers
- Ability to build local networks and relationships locally and nationally, and utilise platforms available, including new ones to share opportunities available

The Role:
You will be joining at an important time for our team, covering a crucial role in ensuring accurate income processing, reporting, and financial management across the organisation. As part of the Finance team, you will work closely with colleagues across departments, particularly alongside our fundraising team, to ensure income is correctly coded and reported efficiently.
With responsibility for month-end and year-end processes, as well as maintaining accurate and timely financial data, you will play a vital role in supporting decision-making across the organisation. Job Title: Activities Coordinator

About the role
We are looking for an Activities Coordinator to work across multiple services within the area, to manage the running and coordination of regular activities, events, and trips for our residents. Our service provides support to residents who have multiple and complex needs which could include mental health, substance use, homelessness, and/or offending backgrounds. You will line manage a team of 2 peer support mentors. Our Peer Mentor role is designed for people who have lived experience of that faced by our residents. You will support with all aspects of line management and wellbeing support, ensuring they are well supported within their role.
As an Activities Coordinator, you will coordinate and deliver high quality activities and programmes which work in support to individual support places and goals, by creating a calendar of activities, celebrations, awareness months/days/weeks and events to encourage social skills and community engagement. You will also maintain effective stakeholder relationships, find new partnerships, and create a catalogue of partners which are easily accessible.
About you
We're looking for someone who has a true passion to support those who have multiple and complex needs, with a drive to help support those who suffer with homelessness, mental health, and substance use. You will be able to build rapport and trusting relations in a professional setting, and able to build positive outcomes. The Senior Events and Programme Coordinator (Leadership) has key responsibility for supporting our Leadership Programmes working alongside the Events and Membership Manager and the Director of Nursing Programmes (Leadership and Standards) to ensure work is covered by the wider team and to act as a central point of contact for partners and clients.
The Programme, Network and Event Coordination Team is a key core team led by our Events and Membership Manager, responsible for ensuring that professional programmes, network and event support is provided to the QICN’s core programmes of work and the nurses in the team that lead them.

Responsibilities

About the Role
As a key part of the delivery team, you'll be at the heart of the action, leading the way in one of 3 clubs: Inclusion, Juniors or Seniors.
Your mission? To create an exciting, high-quality programme that’s fun, engaging, and truly makes a difference—all while keeping young people at the centre of everything we do.
No two days are the same, so you'll need to be versatile, leading the creation of the club offer while supporting both the recruitment and development of the delivery team. Youth Worker Team Leader (Seniors): Leading the way in the Senior Club for young people aged 13 to 19 (or up to 25 for those with additional needs).
About You
Having a young person focused approach, being passionate about the power and impact of youth work and using it as a vehicle to empower young people to become the very best versions of themselves… is crucial!
You will have/have experience of:
- Creating, developing and leading open-access youth programmes creating a safe environment to deliver engaging programmes for diverse youth demographics (ages 8-19, up to 25 with additional needs/disabilities)
- Safeguarding, ideally as a designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring the safety and well-being of all young people with unwavering commitment and proficiency in related referral processes.
- Managing clear behaviour standards and managing conflict between young people.
- Management with a solid understanding of basic HR processes related to people management, attendance, and staff performance.

The Noah’s Ark Charity supports the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales in providing world-class care, helping to ensure the best outcome and experience possible for children and their families.
Having raised more than £30 million to build and equip the hospital, today we continue to work hand in hand with the NHS, providing funding for the most up-to-date equipment and facilities. We also fund services like the play specialist team and emotional support for families.
This is an opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join a small but determined team. Scope of role
This recently created role within the Noah’s Ark Charity, which will grow our regional community fundraising presence and offering. The postholder will know the West Wales area well and will become the expert in fundraising opportunities within the region, building strong relationships within the community, including companies and will develop supporter-led activity. The postholder will plan for and deliver income for the charity within the region, in line with wider fundraising strategy.

A well known local charity VASA is a small charity (turnover £350k) supporting 4,000 people across Rugby, Solihull East and South Warwickshire with community activities, dementia services and our community transport service.

The successful candidate will lead all aspects of Bliss’ financial management, including our strategic approach to financial and business planning as well as supporting effective delivery of our day-to-day financial systems and processes. They will have overall responsibility for Bliss’ core organisational support functions of HR, IT, and facilities, and will also contribute to the daily running and future direction of the charity as a member of the Senior Management Team.
We are looking for an exceptional candidate who:
-Is a CCAB qualified (or equivalent) team leader with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
-Has significant accountancy experience, with knowledge and experience of charity finance
-Has a good understanding of the financial and governance aspects of a charity, particularly the application of Charity SORP
-Has a strong understanding of business functions including HR, contract management, IT systems, and office and administrative processes
-Will enjoy working collaboratively across an organisation to drive business planning and performance.
-Has the ability to motivate, manage performance and support professional development within the Finance and Operations team.

- Location: Hybrid, with a minimum of 3 days over 2 weeks worked in our London Bridge office
- Salary: £80,000 FTE (pro rata)
- Terms: 28 hours a week, 12-month fixed term contract starting late Sept / early Oct 2025

Recruitment Timeline
