About the role:

As a Floating Support Worker in Redbridge, you will play a vital role in helping people maintain their homes, gain confidence, and build independent lives. You will work closely with clients to understand their goals, strengths, and challenges, turning these into practical, personalised support plans. On any given day, this could involve helping someone manage their tenancy, access healthcare or benefits, improve their budgeting skills, or connect with local services and community activities. It is an exciting and important time to be joining us at Crisis. We work with thousands of people across England, Scotland, and Wales so they can leave homelessness behind for good. We have recently adapted the way our services work to maximise our impact in ending homelessness. We have increased our capacity to work with people one to one and strengthened our ability to support those people facing the most barriers to preventing or ending their homelessness.

We offer people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless housing and benefits advice, 1-2-1 coaching, advocacy, courses and peer group sessions alongside practical services of showers and laundry for street homeless.

About the role

As an Engagement and Assessment Worker, you will be part of Crisis Skylight London’s Engagement and Assessment Team, providing a high quality, non-judgemental and safe service to individuals who approach our Skylight Centre. Engagement and Assessment Workers are the first point of contact for a range of enquiries from people who are experiencing homelessness for the first time, individuals with complex and multiple needs, visitors, volunteers, and supporters. You will be providing information about Crisis’ services, delivering a high-quality triage and assessment service, and offering Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) on local homelessness and other related services. You will also manage a small caseload.

Crisis uses a case management approach, and the successful candidate will attend case management meetings, reflective practice, and team meetings. You will also work collaboratively with external partners and Crisis Skylight London’s Coaching and Learning Teams.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Experience of working with homeless or other vulnerable groups and understanding of the importance of respecting confidentiality, showing empathy and sensitivity, and working in a boundary way.
• Experience of assessing presenting needs and working in a Psychologically Informed Environment, and in a way that ensures that members with all levels of need can access the service.
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering the highest standard of customer care and high quality IAG.
• Good knowledge of homelessness, housing and welfare legislation and Safeguarding procedures.
• Strong interpersonal skills including effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to deal with challenging situations with a calm approach.
• Ability to manage a caseload, and successful relationships with external service providers and partners.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)

About the role

We are looking for an exceptional individual fundraiser to join the Philanthropy team at King’s College London, leading on fundraising for The Dickson Poon School of Law.

About the Role

This exciting Fundraising and Engagement Officer role will be part of the Fundraising and Engagement team to ensure that the delivery of Mind BLMK’s current and future offer of fundraising and engagement are effectively delivered. The Central Office Administrator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the central office facility, including day-to-day oversight of organisation-wide services provided by SCT’s external IT support provider.

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and energetic supervisor or team leader to take up a full-time role within our organisation as a Project Supervisor to be part of our small and dedicated team. The role will be based in Southwark as well as potential for wider London working as you will be part several innovative housing projects in London supporting vulnerable households to sustain their tenancies. As well as a team line manager, you will be maintaining and developing partnership with the Council’s housing officers, solicitors, landlords, community services, social prescribers, and mental health support workers to ensure tailored support can be offered for each client. The objectives of these programmes are to avoid evictions, sustain tenancies, increase employment opportunities, improve wellbeing, and increase educational outcomes. You will be working in partnership with other stakeholders such as schools and local authorities to improve family health, build relationships and engage families and individuals and their networks of support.    

About you   

We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in staff management and project leadership, knowledge of housing polices, and with proven experience working with individuals who have complex needs. 

You will be responsible for managing and developing partnerships, supporting data collection for reports and monitoring, and contributing to quality assurance processes. In addition, you will hold a small caseload, providing direct, holistic support to individuals as part of your role. 

We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, self-motivated, and highly organised. You should be confident working independently, with a genuine passion for driving positive change. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to provide holistic support and think creatively to find solutions. 

You will have:

• Experience leading and supervising other support workers, or volunteers, including delegation, training, and mentoring. 

• Ability to monitoring staff performance, and ensuring continuous professional development 

• Demonstratable experience of building and maintaining partnerships with stakeholders, statutory and  community organisations 

• Understanding of housing law, direct experience of working in partnership housing associations, local authorities, homeless organisations and public sector stakeholders

Reporting to the Family Support Manager of the South West Care Team and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social and practical support to families where a child/young person has a life threatening or terminal illness.

During the probation and training period you will be required to come into the office 2 days a week. We are currently trialling fortnightly office attendance, but this could be subject to change in future.

About the role

The Senior Adviser post is a new role to increase capacity within our small and friendly Advice and Information Team. The Senior Adviser will be responsible for delivering high quality, evidence-based, advice and information by email and phone to Coram BAAF members. Our enquirers are primarily social workers at all levels including senior managers, along with associated professionals in health, legal and other areas of children’s social care.

The role will also support our Outbound Permanence Service which provides specialist advice and resources for local authorities across the UK seeking to place a looked after child with relatives overseas, and also offers training and consultancy. The post holder will, once familiar, have the opportunity to participate in Outbound training delivery.

We envisage this as a 4 day per week role, but are open to considering additional flexibility within the constraints of our core service hours (see full job description).

This role may suit you if you have considerable experience in childcare social work, in one or more of adoption, kinship, or foster care, together with experience in advising fellow professionals. You will have a clear understanding of the key principles involved in providing accurate, evidence-based advice and information.

You may have experience of working for a similar national helpline or advice, though this is not essential. You should have good knowledge of relevant regulations, guidance, minimum standards, and published good practice, along with the ability to research and translate complex information into accurate, clear, evidence-based, and practical advice.
