About the Early Years Lunchtime Assistant role
Based in the Coin Street neighbourhood centre, minutes from Waterloo and Blackfriars stations and on the doorstep of the bustling South Bank, our family and children’s centre puts the child at the centre of their unique learning journey and uses our surroundings as a place for real life learning.
This provision encompasses a 59-place nursery, holiday play schemes, activity camps, creche facility to support parents to engage in training and support, and our work with external partners as part of our Family and Children’s Centre provision working with families across Waterloo and North Southwark.
The Lunchtime Assistant will play a key role in supporting in relation to mealtimes, activities, general care and the safety and welfare of children to support the smooth running of the nursery.
To be successful you will need to demonstrate the following

Working towards a Childcare or Early Years Education qualification equivalent to NVQ2 or above

Previous experience of working within an Early Years environment

An understanding of children’s development and learning from 0-5 years and a commitment to the provision of an appropriate learning and care environment indoors and out

World Jewish Relief created the Specialist Training and Employment Programme (STEP) for refugees in 2016 and today we are the largest provider of specialist employment support to people who have experienced forced migration in the UK.STEP aims to support and empower people through a tailored employment programme that addresses the complex barriers that they face when preparing for and ultimately finding work in the UK.
We support all people who have experienced forced migration, regardless of their proximity to the labour market, to develop the skills and access the opportunities they need to secure sustainable and meaningful employment. We run STEP online and in person programmes across the UK.
We are now expanding our work to deliver (in partnership with the British Council) an English Language and Employment Support Programme for up to 4,000 Ukrainians and Hong Kong BNO status/visa (50% of each community) over the next 12 months.
We are recruiting a Cantonese speaking Team Manager to join the STEP team delivering this new programme. You will oversee a team of Employment Advisors who provide remote support to participants, assisting them in accessing job opportunities, education and training.
You will be responsible for providing effective leadership, guidance and support to the Employment Advisors, monitoring and managing their workflow and providing coaching and mentoring to enhance their performance. Your responsibilities will also include quality assurance of STEP programme delivery, monitoring and reporting programme outcomes and compiling and analysing data on the effectiveness of the team’s interventions and activities.
About you

- Proven experience in a supervisory or team leadership role, preferably within a refugee support or employment-related context.

We are recruiting for a Senior Participant Experience Manager to join on a part-time basis, working 21 hours per week (0.6 FTE) as part of a job share. This is a fixed-term contract until the end of October 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our successful Events team, co-leading our 7-person Participant Experience team. Working closely with the other Senior Participant Experience Manager, you’ll be jointly responsible for identifying and delivering strategic projects and multi-channel supporter journeys to improve the supporter experience for all events participants, resulting in maximised income, retention and lifetime value.
You and your team will work across the Events team, adding value to our participants’ experience across our full range of products, from sign up to thanking and beyond. You’ll lead the team to drive cross product testing, learning and innovation. You will also maximise the impact of our communications across multiple channels, such as telephone, email, post, SMS, whilst pushing efficiencies by streamlining processes and ways of working across teams.
Working as part of the Events Management team you will contribute to the strategy and direction of the wider Events team.

The Media team strategically leads on both proactive and reactive media, supporting WaterAid’s fundraising, partnerships, brand awareness and political influencing & systems change strategic priorities. About Us
SOSRC (SOS Rape Crisis) works with survivors of sexual violence and child sexual abuse, providing independent, specialist support and promoting and representing their rights and needs. SOSRC provides service across Southend, Castle Point and Rochford. SOSRC is a registered charity working with adults of all genders, young people and children.
We are part of Synergy Essex, a partnership of three Rape Crisis Centres (SOSRC, SERICC and CARA), funded by the Office for the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Essex to provide a countywide ISVA service.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated Adult and Young Person Sexual Violence Therapist (sessional) to join our multi-disciplinary team. In this role, you will provide specialist counselling support to adults and young people who have experienced rape, sexual violence, or sexual abuse. You will uphold professionalism and deliver trauma-informed, empowering therapeutic support.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver counselling and emotional support services from a Feminist perspective, upholding the Rape Crisis ethos and values.

Provide one-to-one counselling, maintaining a caseload of 10-25 clients per week (minimum 10).

Conduct assessments and complete regular risk assessments using the SAS (Safety and Support) Form.

Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with SOSRC policies and GDPR.

Keep up to date with relevant legislation, policies, and best practices.

Work flexible hours, including some evenings, and across various locations in Southend, Castle Point, and Rochford as needed.

Participate in training and contribute to the wider counselling team within The Synergy Essex Partnership.

We’re looking for pleasant and approachable drivers who are sensitive to our users’ needs.
You must hold a clean Category D1 driving licence and have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of driving. The ability to maintain accurate vehicle and user records is essential as is the ability to undertake daily and weekly vehicle checks and carry out simple maintenance tasks. Desirable skills and experience include: MiDAS (Minibus Driving Awareness Scheme) training, working with people with disabilities, and a current First Aid qualification but full training can be given. A knowledge of the Reading and Basingstoke area would also be beneficial.

Mornings: Tuesday (8.15 am -10.15am)

About The Role
This role is about designing and implementing strategies, tools and platforms that support shared learning and collaboration among organisations working towards cleaner air. Working closely with the Head of Learning and Innovation, you will lead a global needs assessment across multiple cities, which will inform the development of a training programme for movement building leads at the city level, with pilots of that approach in two cities.
