As Youth Work Manager, you’ll lead our youth work delivery team, which currently consists of three youth workers and many more volunteers, and take responsibility for the design and day-to-day running of our youth work offer in Didcot and Wallingford.

You’ll support the team to deliver high-quality, responsive youth work across open access, detached and mentoring provision. You’ll also develop opportunities for youth voice and participation, ensuring young people play an active role in shaping our work.

This is a hands-on role, well suited to someone who wants to stay closely involved in frontline youth work while also growing as a manager. The best youth work managers are those who lead by example — delivering sessions, building relationships with young people, and supporting the team through the day-to-day. This role gives you the chance to do both: to shape and manage a strong delivery programme, and to keep doing the kind of youth work that first brought you into the sector.

We’re looking for someone who is committed to reaching young people who may not access other services, especially those who feel overlooked, unheard or unsure where they belong. You’ll be comfortable spending time in the community, meeting young people on their terms, and building relationships. You’ll lead a team that works across a range of settings, including parks, schools, and youth clubs, and help create welcoming, inclusive spaces where young people feel seen and supported.

You’ll report directly to our CEO, contribute to organisational planning, act as our DSL, and help ensure young people remain at the centre of all we do.

Salary: £34,000 - £37000 depending on experience 
We welcome applicants who may not feel they meet all the person specification, and we are advertising a salary range to accommodate such applications. This salary range is based on a 37.5-hour week, pro rata for part-time hours.

Much of our delivery happens outside school hours, and some sessions run later into the evening. We’d expect the Youth Work Manager to work at least one late evening and one earlier evening. Beyond that, we’re happy to be flexible. We’re open to job shares, condensed hours, or other creative arrangements if it helps the right person take on the role.

Key responsibilities: 

• Deliver youth work sessions as part of the delivery team, modelling high standards of inclusive, empowering and trauma-informed practice
• Line manage TRAIN’s youth workers in line with organisational HR policies and procedures, including supervision, performance management, and professional development
• Oversee the full portfolio of youth work provision (including open access, detached, group and one-to-one support), ensuring it responds to the needs and aspirations of local young people
• Promote a culture of equity, diversity and inclusion within the team and across all aspects of youth provision
• Create and strengthen opportunities for meaningful youth voice and participation in service design and decision-making
• Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead for the organisation, ensuring compliance with safeguarding legislation, policies and best practice
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with delivery partners and stakeholders, including schools, voluntary sector organisations and statutory services
• Lead on the recruitment, induction and supervision of youth work volunteers
• Monitor, evaluate and report on programme outcomes and performance indicators in line with funder and organisational requirements
• Contribute to the development and delivery of TRAIN’s organisational strategy, as part of the senior team
• Support fundraising, communications and stakeholder engagement, including input into bids, reports and promotional activities
• Ensure delivery is compliant with relevant legal, regulatory and safeguarding standards, and with TRAIN’s policies and procedures

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Estates & Maintenance Manager to ensure The Royal Homes Estate is a safe, efficient and well-maintained environment for the benefit of residents at Queens Alexandra Court. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the buildings to the highest possible standards, effectively delivering key projects and managing all maintenance systems in-line with appropriate guidance, warranties and best practice.

This role also includes conducting routine inspections across the estate, handling plumbing, electrical, carpentry and other maintenance tasks.

Additionally, the successful candidate will oversee the ongoing Quinquennial works, collaborating with the Quinquennial inspector and external contractors to ensure all repair work is completed successfully.

About the team

You will be part of a small dedicated and compassionate team based at The Royal Homes Estate, with direct line management responsibility for three members of the maintenance team. You will have the opportunity to work closely with co-workers who are highly trained, experienced and supportive.

About you

To carry out this role successfully you will have recognised skills in the maintenance/building trade and have an understanding of Health & Safety requirements and regulations. Strong negotiating and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to understand and maintain communication with a wide range of contractors. You will have a practical and hands on approach, with the ability to manage maintenance issues around the site where appropriate.

You will be able to prioritise and plan your workload efficiently, with a thorough and meticulous approach.

Additionally experience of managing a small team is required.

In this new but key role you will be responsible for assisting the Senior Negotiating Officer to manage and support our stewards, safety and equality representative networks across Yorkshire and Humber region, advising them in providing individual and collective industrial relations support to members, working both in and outside of the NHS. New Routes Integration

Principle purpose of the post:

The Operations Manager will report to the Chief Executive Officer, working closely with them and deputising when required. They will lead and line manage the operational management of contractual service delivery (including the management of risk), quality and improvement across the organisation and ensure quality services are provided. This will be informed and implemented by ensuring that our participants have appropriate methods to inform programme delivery routinely. 

The Operations Manager will deliver: monitoring of service and organisational quality, financial/income activity and expenditure, adherence to policies and procedures, and overall compliance with health and safety activity through a range of measures, including the use of reports and data to make critical and informed assessments.

The Operations Manager will support the CEO in implementing and overseeing strategic fundraising efforts.

The Operations Manager will hold responsibility for ensuring all operational staff are effectively supported to undertake their roles and will administer formal HR policies and procedures when standards fall below expectations. They will also support the CEO in doing the same for non-operational staff.

The Operations Manager will provide support and deputise for the Chief Executive when required.  The postholder will be expected to demonstrate a high ability to be pro-active in anticipating and managing their workload, and work without high levels of direction.

Scotty’s is seeking an experienced bereavement counsellor to join our small but effective team. The role involves supporting children and young people affected by bereavement, which may include death in service, illness, or suicide.

Our Bereavement Counsellor will be a valuable member of the SUPPORT Programme, delivering online 1:1 and group support to those who need it most.  But all three programmes work closely together (we call this the Families team).

Role Mission:

The Scotty’s Bereavement Counsellor will work with our families who are struggling with their grief to help them understand their feelings, develop coping skills and build their new life.

This role will be accountable for:

Providing emotional support, counselling and therapeutic interventions to individuals and families coping with grief and loss. The role involves working compassionately and ethically with families affected by bereavement, helping them process their emotions and find ways to adjust to life after a loss.

The Bereavement Counsellor will work collaboratively with the SUPPORT team and the wider Families team to ensure that all work undertaken by Scotty’s is delivered in a supportive and sensitive manner and that Scotty families receive exemplary care.

What are the 3-month goals for this role:

· Within three months the Counsellor will have developed their knowledge of the range of services that Scotty’s offers to our families so that they can advise and support families in their case load.

· Will have begun to learn and understand the Scotty Values and the Scotty Way (we do things a little differently and our culture is very important to us and our families!).

· Would have begun supporting the families assigned to their caseload by the Head of SUPPORT.  This will predominantly if not entirely be online 1:1 delivery.

· Will have completed all necessary safeguarding training and be part of the Scotty’s Safeguarding team.

· Begun attending peer supervision sessions with the SUPPORT team.

What are the 6-month goals for this role:

· Will have established a caseload as assigned by the Head of SUPPORT which is likely to include 1:1 online sessions, and may also include online group sessions, drop ins or workshops.

· Will have begun to support the wider Families team by attending Scotty events.  At Scotty events, a SUPPORT team member often attends to provide support to any families in distress (this may require occasional weekend or evening work).

· Will be working cohesively with the Families team and the wider Scotty team to share your knowledge and skills.  Scotty’s values a culture of learning and strives to ensure team members can learn from one another’s expertise.

· Will be contributing to peer supervision sessions to ensure all SUPPORT team members are able to give the best support to families.

· Regularly meeting with your selected external supervisor.

What are the 9-month goals for this role:

· Will be supporting a caseload as assigned by the Head of SUPPORT, with emerging impact data showing the success of your support.  Scotty’s uses the Child Bereavement Service Questionnaire (CBSQ) developed by the CBN to monitor the impact of 1:1 support and the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) for pre-bereavement support.

· Will be a valuable member of the SUPPORT programme, Families and wider Scotty team. Providing first rate bereavement counselling and support directly to families but also indirectly helping families by working collaboratively with other team members.

What are the key responsibilities of this role:

· Managing a caseload and delivering one to one counselling sessions as assigned by the Head of SUPPORT. This will predominantly be online delivery using Teams video calling but also other formats as needed by families.

· Facilitate group therapy or support groups when appropriate.

· Conduct initial assessment to determine clients’ needs and suitability for counselling.

· Maintaining accurate and confidential case notes in a timely fashion using our Salesforce based system in accordance with data protection and organisational policies.

· Adhering to all safeguarding requirements and operating as part of the Scotty Safeguarding team to maintain the highest standards across the charity.

· Supporting the development of resources and materials as needed.

· Working collaboratively within the SUPPORT team, including peer supervision.

· Working collaboratively and effectively within the Families team to ensure that families are directed to the appropriate services in a timely fashion.  This could include directing families you are working with towards our educational grants, our respite breaks, our events, our school support or our advocacy.

· Liaise with healthcare and mental health professionals such as GPs, CAMHS and social workers or other professionals where appropriate to ensure holistic care and management of risk.

· Attending at least six (mandatory) face to face team days, normally located in the East of England.

· Participate in regular clinical supervision and continuing professional development.

Skillset and Experiences Required:

Essential

· Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) or United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).  We may consider applications from practitioners with HCPC or NCS membership too.

· Level 4 Counselling / Psychotherapy Diploma or above.

· Significant experience (post qualification) providing bereavement counselling, to children or young people (0-25yrs).

About the Role

Your Role

As Head of Harm Reduction and Engagement, you’ll lead our Drug & Alcohol Support Hub (DASH) service, detached outreach provision and youth justice support – while driving innovation in youth empowerment, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), and new service models. They are seeking an organised, diligent accounting professional to work with the Director of Finance & Resources, to support the finance team in its delivery of high-quality, timely, and insightful financial information. You will work closely with budget holders, enabling data-led decision-making and supporting donor and committee reporting. As a key member of a small, collaborative team, you will be hands-on managing day-to-day operations, proactive in ensuring a strong internal control environment and keen to drive operational and cost efficiencies.

The Organisation:

IMPAKT Housing and Support is a dedicated organisation focused on providing safe, supportive housing solutions and personalised services to individuals in need. They are committed to assisting vulnerable individuals, including those experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, and other complex needs, by offering not just housing but holistic support to promote independence and well-being. The key duties of the Finance Manager are as follows:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts for DF&R to review
• On completion of the monthly management accounts; to distribute to Heads of Department and Managers the relevant reports, e.g. Housing, Domestic Abuse, Maintenance, Retail, Staff Training Marketing & Fundraising etc
• To meet with the relevant Heads of Department and Managers on a periodic basis to discuss the financial performance and outlook for the remaining periods
• Budget – to take responsibility for providing instructions/templates to Heads of Department and Managers for the submission of data to complete the draft budget. To arrange meetings as appropriate with the budget holders to discuss and agree the draft budget. Work with the DF&R to present the Draft Budget to Executive Team and then uploading to Xledger
• Cash – managing the cash resources of IMPAKT to ensure that any returns are achieved whilst ensuring there are adequate funds to meet liabilities as they fall due
• Completion and submission of quarterly VAT returns
• Providing staff with relevant guidance and training in the use of Xledger to meet their responsibilities
• Liaise with auditors and preparation of pre-audit information requests and dealing with any subsequent queries and requests in consultation with the DF&R
• Manage the finance team and oversee/reviewing sales ledger, purchase ledger, cash posting and all general ledger entries and that all reconciliations are completed and reviewed on a timely basis
• Overseeing the completion of the monthly payroll and submission of year end payroll returns and ensuring good collaboration with the People & Culture team on matters that affect staff salary payments
• Liaising with IMPAKT’s banks as and when required
• Provide regular 1:1’s and Annual Appraisals for the Finance team members

The successful candidate will have:

• Proven experience as Finance Manager
• Non-profit experience highly preferred
• Ideally fully qualified accountant but this is a desirable. Part qualified and qualified by experience are also acceptable
• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in accounting and finance
• A good knowledge of the issues facing homeless people, and homelessness issues in general across all ages
• Possess a professional personal image and the ability to work harmoniously and establish positive relationships with staff at all levels and with third-party suppliers
• Ability to explain financial terms in simple language
• Demonstrate and convey a passion for the work of IMPAKT housing & support, including an understanding of the work we do and the challenges faced
