An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a full-time Farm School Manger to join our amazing children’s charity. 

Farms for City Children works to ensure children and young people are happy, healthy, resilient and achieving their potential; and to be nature’s champions and to care about where their food comes from – today and tomorrow.

We achieve all this by giving children with limited access to nature the life-changing opportunity to live and work as farmers for a week, deep in the countryside. We have hosted well over 100,000 children on our farms so far, and we believe that these experiences should be a normal part of every childhood.

The Farm School Manager has overall responsibility for the success of our operations at Wick Court, a small mixed farm of high environmental value, including a large historic house and farm buildings, all nestled in a beautiful and peaceful location close to the River Severn. This is very much a hands-on role, acting as the key host for our visiting schools and groups and leader of a programme which ensures that our visiting children and young people enjoy a purposeful and engaging countryside, food and farming residential stay.

About This Job

This is an exciting training role in Army Cadet Headquarters responsible for the governance of risk in the Army Cadets.

In this critical organisational safety role, you will both generate medical risk assessments and assure those generated by others. You will ensure appropriate medical governance and compliance processes are in place, including identifying organisational clinical risks and recommending appropriate policies. You will oversee incident reporting and trend analysis to support continuous improvement. This will include developing systems and reporting frameworks to provide a clear understanding of the organisation’s medical risk profile and supporting the volunteer team delivering advanced skills training to highly qualified first aiders.

Essential Skills

· Have a sound understanding of the role of medical support in the Army Cadets

· Hold an accredited assessing qualification

· Evidence of continuing personal and professional development

· Understand the legislative requirements for First Aid provision as set out by the HSE

As Governance Manager, you’ll take charge of The King’s Fund’s governance arrangements to ensure the charity runs as it should. Working closely with senior leaders, you’ll see that the support structures and processes are in place for us to meet our obligations and strategic goals.

Main purpose of post

This is an important role in the fundraising team which is responsible for identifying, developing, and converting opportunities to generate income to achieve Weston Park Cancer Charity’s strategy. This role will support the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager to secure income generation through corporate organisations. It carries an income target aligned to the grade of the post holder, within an overall corporate income target of over £400,000 per annum.

You will be expected to understand Weston Park Cancer Charity’s unique offer, the needs and priorities of our corporate partners and be capable of taking our propositions and clearly shaping them to create mutual value for the communities we support and our partners.

Key Responsibilities

 · Responsible for an income target of which aligns with the grade of the post, contributing to an overall corporate income target of over £4000k pa.

· Delivers income growth through gifts from corporates, workplace fundraising and public facing corporate donations.

· Support the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager in developing and implementing a comprehensive corporate partnership strategy which is data driven and demonstrates strong ROI.

· Develop and deliver concepts and ideas, from early discussion through to detailed proposals, working with colleagues across the charity. 

· Contribute to maximising sponsorship of our key programmes such as Big Purple Bus and Grant-Giving for cancer research and other initiatives.

· Write detailed, accurate and compelling bids and proposals that clearly articulate how Weston Park Cancer Charity are the preferred choice to meet the partner and project objectives for Charity of the Year or long-term strategic partnerships.

· Work with our events team to promote opportunities for corporate partners to support the annual events programme e.g. tables at events , team challenge events

· Succinctly communicate the impact of our work, ensuring it inspires and clearly matches the requirements of potential corporate partners and major donors.

· Be a key interface for external corporate enquiries and act as an external ambassador, undertaking significant networking across the region and representing the charity at key meetings and events.

· Be responsible for the management of an agreed number of accounts, providing excellent relationship management.

· Ensure that the resource and capability exist to deliver partner/funder requirements and proactively identify and seek to fill any gaps.

· Ensure we collect detailed and continuous feedback so that we learn from experience and effectively evaluate both successful and unsuccessful funding proposals and initiatives.

· Develop and maintain a prospect pipeline that is realistically capable of meeting agreed income targets and reflects both the strategic priorities of Weston Park Cancer Chairty and the external funding priorities of our corporate partners

· Maximise Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) opportunities, work place fundraising and volunteering, and Gifts in Kind.

The role will involve the management of the day-to-day financial activities, VAT, gift aid, payroll and the monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliations and statutory accounts preparation. The job holder will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Finance Officer and volunteers within the team. There will be a requirement to work closely with the income generating staff, budget holders, auditors, banks and credit card providers on a regular basis. The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the Finance Officer and Finance volunteer.

The Town and Country Planning Association (TCPA) is looking to appoint a Communications Manager to grow our profile and increase the impact of our work to create sustainable and resilient places that are fair for everyone. Ara Head of Finance

We have immediate need for an Ara Head of Finance.  We are looking for an experienced finance leader who combines strong technical finance expertise with excellent leadership and relationship-building skills, to help us provide hope and better lives for people across South West England and Wales. We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and motivated Programme Manager to lead the Damilola Taylor Trust’s Executive Team, sustain and scale our core youth-focused programmes in South London, providing consistent leadership and operational stability. 

As Programme Manager, you will 

• Manage delivery of the Career pathway programme for schools (CPPFS) courses, which help YP at risk of involvement in criminal activity to engage fully in education by addressing barriers to positive engagement through workshops and career- mentor support at Harris Academies in South London, with a view to reaching 150 students a year.
• Support and supervise the Project Coordinator to implement the project “From Tragedy to Legacy” to celebrate the legacy of Damilola Taylor while highlighting the impact the Trust has made in 25 years supporting young people in inner-city areas of London.
• Lead the Trust’s collaboration initiative with YouthBuild UK, a South London based charity that trains YP to be work ready in a variety of industries including construction, hospitality, customer care and IT to enhance impact of our Career Search and Skills Development (CSSD) programme.
• Design, develop and implement new programmes for delivery in-house or via third party delivery partners
• Agree the Executive Team’s work plan, lead, and motivate staff to create a high-performing team that sustains and scales the impact of our core youth-focused programmes.
• Taking the lead with day-to-day administration and management of the Trust’s programmes, you will maintain a database, produce written communications and reports, information leaflets, website updates, budget monitoring, and negotiate with delivery partners, and manage an array of detailed record keeping
• Contribute to organisational planning and development, including supporting our plan of building capacity to create the organisation required to achieve results that we are committed to
• Support our fundraising team through providing feedback, reports and information to support bid writing activities.

You will help steward the resources entrusted to us by our partners, support the staff who carry out the ministry, and maintain the systems that allow our work to grow sustainably.

As a small and highly collaborative team, we do not have separate departments for finance, human resources, compliance, facilities, health and safety, or operations. Instead, we rely on people who are willing to take ownership, learn new things, solve problems, and help strengthen the organisation wherever needed.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating and improving systems, spotting gaps, and ensuring that important things do not fall through the cracks.

Finance & Accounting (25%)

• Maintain online accounting system (QuickBooks Online) and other related financial systems.
• Maintain and improve accounting structures, nominal ledger, and chart of account.
• Review, maintain, and automate transaction processing workflows.
• Upload and reconcile donations and other financialtransactions.
• Complete monthly and quarterly reconciliations.

GFA World is a Christian ministry, and prayer is central to who we are and how we serve.
