WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
GFA World's mission is to help people know Jesus and experience His love in places where there is little or no Christian presence. Every donation, prayer, event, communication, and ministry activity relies on strong systems and faithful stewardship behind the scenes.
This role helps ensure that GFA World remains financially sound, legally compliant, operationally effective, and a healthy place for staff to serve. You will help steward the resources entrusted to us by our partners, support the staff who carry out the ministry, and maintain the systems that allow our work to grow sustainably.
As a small and highly collaborative team, we do not have separate departments for finance, human resources, compliance, facilities, health and safety, or operations. Instead, we rely on people who are willing to take ownership, learn new things, solve problems, and help strengthen the organisation wherever needed.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating and improving systems, spotting gaps, and ensuring that important things do not fall through the cracks.
OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Finance & Accounting (25%)
- Maintain online accounting system (QuickBooks Online) and other related financial systems.
- Maintain and improve accounting structures, nominal ledger, and chart of account.
- Review, maintain, and automate transaction processing workflows.
- Upload and reconcile donations and other financialtransactions.
- Complete monthly and quarterly reconciliations.
- Process payroll and maintain payroll records.
- Oversee pension administration and HMRC submissions.
- Prepare budgets and reports in collaboration with leadership.
- Monitor actual performance against budgets and identify variances.
- Assist with year-end processes and external audits.

CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY LIFE
GFA World is a Christian ministry, and prayer is central to who we are and how we serve.
All staff participate in regular corporate prayer as part of normal organisational life. These times include reading Scripture, sharing thanksgiving, and praying for the needs of the ministry, our staff, and the mission field.

We’re searching for an experienced Legacy Officer, who will play a vital role in ensuring every gift left to Dogs Trust in a will reaches its full potential. This role sits at the heart of our work, as every legacy makes a difference to the dogs we support.
What does this role do?
As a Legacy Officer, you will:
- manage a caseload of pecuniary, specific, life interest, and residuary legacies, ensuring the charity receives its full entitlement and maximising value where possible,
- liaise with external stakeholders, such as executors or solicitors, handling sensitive conversations efficiently and professionally,
- review estate accounts, including the allocation of Capital Gains Tax (CGT) and Inheritance Tax (IHT), to confirm estates are correctly administered,
- represent the charity’s interests in all legacy-related correspondence, handling queries from legal professionals and the public with professionalism,
- maintain accurate records using the First Class 4 database, support with reporting, and escalate significant matters to senior legal staff as needed.

Could this be you?
With proven experience in legacy administration, you will have good knowledge of wills, probate, tax and trust law. With excellent attention to detail, you will be highly organised and able to demonstrate experience of managing and prioritising own caseload. A certificate in Charity Legacy Administration is desirable.

ABOUT THE ROLE
- Job Title: Services Coordinator
- Location: Hybrid - Minimum two days per week from Nottingham office. Remaining time can be home based, or office based.

In this role you will take the lead on vital Headway UK projects and work alongside colleagues in the wider Services Department to help support our key front-line services.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
As Services Coordinator, you will take the lead on three of Headway UK’s vital services. You will be responsible for processing applications to our Emergency Fund, which provides travel and accommodation grants to family members, to support them to be at the bedside of loved ones, when their family member is in hospital, after acquiring a brain injury. Your role will include making recommendations for funding, signposting applicants onto other organisations, keeping detailed records and producing basic financial reports to highlight the Emergency Funds’ position throughout the year.
You will also lead the annual renewal of the Headway UK’s Solicitor’s Directory, ensuring it remains a vital resource for those seeking specialist solicitors with experience in handling brain injury cases.
You will support the delivery of Headway UK’s training programme through effective administrative support, including managing the training mailbox, responding to enquiries, distributing certificates, and liaising with delegates and associate trainers.
You will work alongside colleagues within the wider Services Department to provide exceptional administrative support
On occasion you will also be required to work with the Project Lead for Brain Injury Identity Cards and assist with processing Brain Injury Identity Card applications.

Purpose of Post
To work with individuals, their family and friends (where appropriate) to provide them with information, advice and assistance to enable them to access and manage a Direct Payment
(DP) and recruit and manage a Personal Assistant (PA).
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Support to individuals employing their own Personal (care) Assistant (PA) or engage an agency to deliver care and support.
- Provide information and advice on becoming an employer and the role of the Personal Assistant.
- Ensure that the client understands their legal obligations and responsibilities of being an employer.
- Work with clients to: set up a profile on the Find-a-pa website, advertise and recruit a Personal Assistant, create a personalised job description and specification identify the level of experience and training requirements needed for the role.
- Advise and help to calculate the PA’s salary and on costs (full training provided).
- Support the client through the interview process and where necessary sit in during interviews.

This is a maternity-cover position, a 13-month fixed-term contract offered on a full-time or part-time basis (five or four days per week). While primarily home-based, the successful candidate will be required to work on a hybrid basis for the initial months (1-2 times a week in the office in Farnham, Surrey).

Although high-level executive support is a key component of this role, it is far more than diary management. The Executive Assistant will become a trusted member of our client’s small team, helping to develop and maintain streamlined administrative systems, supporting the setup and oversight of grants, coordinating meetings and hybrid events across different time zones, and liaising with a wide range of stakeholders. From managing expense claims and grant documentation to planning international gatherings and ensuring follow-through on action points, this is a varied and essential role.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience as an Executive Assistant, supporting a CEO and senior management team, ideally within a charity, trust, or foundation. They will bring significant experience in diary management, event coordination, and committee servicing, and will be a confident and efficient minute taker. Highly organised, proactive, and adaptable, the post holder will have the ability to plan well, build relationships, and be comfortable in taking the initiative. The post holder will be comfortable using a wide range of digital tools and platforms (including MS Word and Excel, CRM databases, SharePoint, MS Teams, Zoom, and project management applications). They will thrive in a remote-first environment and be confident juggling multiple priorities while working both independently and collaboratively.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting those affected by ovarian cancer through a people-centered approach. Pay scale: £29,899 – £33,668 per year (full time), pro-rata if part time. All our salaries are benchmarked based on the requirements of the Role Description and comparable roles in the charity sector. Salaries are subject to an annual review; we also award an annual cost of living increase.

You will work within the support team in providing the first point of contact for all support enquiries to Ovacome, via telephone, email, instant chat, and social media channels.
You will provide information and support on a wide range of ovarian cancer issues, including broader issues around living with cancer, ensuring that all information is evidence based and up-to-date.
You will assist in the moderation of the My Ovacome support forum and provide information where required to members.
You will assist in keeping the Support Services information on the Ovacome website up-to-date.
You will keep full, accurate, contemporaneous records of all enquiries following Ovacome policies and procedures, including confidentiality and data protection. You will maintain and update records on the Ovacome database.
You will assist in the organisation and facilitation of Ovacome groups as required.
You will maintain knowledge of clinical and research developments in ovarian cancer through relevant journals, attending conferences and liaison with healthcare professionals.
You will assist with the production of reports as required.
You will participate in regional support events as required, liaising with local services prior to the event.
You will contribute to the Ovacome information resources and work with other members of the Ovacome to produce content that is of interest to our community.
