SENIOR YOUTH AND COMMUNITY WORKER
LOCATION: ENACT, 52 ISLAND CENTRE WAY, ENFIELD, EN3 6GS
HOURS: FULL TIME (40HRS PER WEEK)
RESPONSIBLE TO: YOUTH AND COMMUNITY TEAM LEAD
SALARY: £28,000 - £32,000 PER ANNUM

Enact have a vacancy for a Senior Youth and Community Worker to lead our open-access community youth provision. We are looking for an experienced youth practitioner to manage our youth team and work within the enact team to develop a range of engaging activities and training opportunities for young people with particular focus on those aged 10 to 19 in the Enfield community.
The Senior Youth and Community Worker needs to be a passionate, enthusiastic and professional. They will lead the youth team to create community-based opportunities for the whole family, in accordance with the ethos and values of Oasis. The Senior Youth worker will also support the enact team to develop and be involved in community cohesion projects involving children, families and youth.
Enact actively encourages continued professional development and opportunities for further education for all its staff.

We're looking for a kind, compassionate and resilient Waking Night Mental Health Support Worker to join our Mental Health service in Hackney.

Felstead street is a CQC registered care home that provide care and support for 24 adults with high level mental health needs but also with complex physical health needs.
As a Waking Night Mental Health Support Worker, you will play an integral role as a part of the team by offering the continuity of care and support in every aspect of their needs in line with individual support and risk management plans, such as medication administration, emotional support and regular welfare check, personal care and so on.
Shift: 10.15pm-8.15am. Must be able to work some weekends and bank holidays. 4 working days (10 hours x4) a week, according to the rolling rota.

What you'll do:
Buildng supportive, trusting relationships with customers and creating a positive atmosphere in the home.
Following lone working protocols and maintaining high levels of awareness to health and safety for self, colleagues and customers.
Supporting customers to maintain a safe, healthy and hygienic living / shared environment.
Providing emotional support and assistance to customers overnight who may be experiencing difficulties with their own mental health and seeking appropriate support.
Providing support with daily living activities including practical assistance to customers who may require this during the night.
Support customers to undertake all domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation
Develop and maintain links with all key agencies and service providers in the local community.
Managing the petty cash during the shift.
Continuing the infection control duties at night.
Maintaining fire safety and H&S at night, and managing the arising issues in line with the local protocol and Look Ahead policies and procedure.
Empower customers to ensure they receive the service and benefits they are entitled to
Undertake all administrative work and keep accurate and comprehensive tenant/customer records to professional standards

What you'll bring:
Essential:
NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care or above or experience in the social care/charity /mental health sector
Basic IT skills
Literacy and basic math
Desirable:
Experience working in mental health
Experience working in a CQC registered care setting
Experience of delivering personal care / assistance.

A daily lunch service is at the heart of our day-centre delivery for young people experiencing homelessness. For many of our young people, lunch is their only hot, nutritious meal of the day. We are looking for a passionate Chef to work independently in our kitchen to deliver a daily meal for up to 100 young people, staff and volunteers. You will have responsibility for planning, preparing and serving food that makes a real difference to people's lives. You will need to have experience of catering to large numbers and managing professional kitchen paperwork, and the drive to maintain high food hygiene standards.
