We’ve launched a bold new pilot in the West Midlands to tackle the urgent issue of late prostate cancer diagnosis in Black men and we need a dynamic Project Manager to lead the way. In this pivotal role, you’ll bring communities, healthcare partners and local insight together to dismantle barriers, build trust, and shape a model that could change outcomes across the UK.
What the job involves
As the Project Manager, you’ll lead an innovative pilot designed to tackle late diagnosis of prostate cancer in Black men. Day to day, you’ll shape and deliver a regional model that breaks down systemic barriers to early diagnosis - from coordinating the unification of efforts to address drivers of inequity in prostate cancer to establishing a new bridging fund to support cross-sector partnerships. You’ll work closely with community organisations, Primary Care Networks and NHS stakeholders, bringing people together to build trust and drive practical, measurable improvements.
What we want from you
You’ll be someone who cares deeply about health equity and is motivated by making real change happen for Black men in prostate cancer. We’re looking for someone who has experience designing or delivering community‑based health projects and feels confident working across sectors to build strong, equitable partnerships. You’ll bring strategic thinking, the ability to turn insight into action, and the communication skills to engage, influence and inspire. You’ll be comfortable managing timelines, budgets and reporting impact, and you’ll bring a strong understanding of public health, health equity or programme management. Most importantly, you’ll champion inclusion, cultural sensitivity and our values in everything you do.
As this role is supporting our work in the West Midlands, candidates must live within, or no more than 30 minutes from, one of the following NHS Health Trust areas: Herefordshire and Worcestershire, Black Country, Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent, Birmingham and Solihull, or Coventry and Warwickshire.

How and where we work
Colleagues attend the office at least four days per month (pro rata for part-time colleagues) to collaborate, build relationships, and support projects and decision-making. You can choose where to work the rest of the time. Travel to the office is a commute, so we pay our own travel costs.
Additional in-person attendance will be required during your first few months for induction and training, to support you to learn the role and get to know colleagues.

This is a senior leadership role managing our two flagship frontline services - Antifreeze and Gateway. You will lead 6-8 key workers and 30+ volunteers across two sites, overseeing day centre operations, street outreach, one-to-one keywork, group activities, and strategic initiatives.

Since 1998, Antifreeze has been a safe and warm space for members, offering faith-based, practical support services that restore dignity and hope. At our Day Centre, we provide hygiene facilities (showers & laundry), medical drop-ins, and essential survival provisions to meet immediate needs. Through 1-to-1 sessions, we support members with housing applications, benefits, and financial stability, while goal-based workshops equip them with skills to attain permanent homes and ethical employment. Our discipleship sessions encourage an advanced understanding of the Christian faith, offering fellowship and spiritual growth. To address digital poverty, we offer computer access for job searches and reconnecting with loved ones.
Beyond practical support, Antifreeze fosters healthy community relationships, improves mental health awareness, and helps members move toward ethical employment, reduced reliance on substances, and a forever home.
Main duties
Operational Management
- Oversee daily delivery of day centre, street outreach, keywork, and activities

The Intensive Support Refuge Manager (ISM) is responsible for the effective leadership and management of Pathway Project’s two Women’s Refuges in South Staffordshire, delivering high-quality, trauma-informed accommodation-based support to women and children fleeing domestic abuse.

The Cathedral has a particular responsibility to safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults in the Cathedral community. It shares this responsibility with the Diocese of St Albans. This work is wide‑ranging, and the Cathedral Safeguarding Officer (CSO) plays a central role in maintaining good safeguarding practice.
This part‑time role (15 hours per week) becomes vacant as the current postholder retires after four years, with time planned for handover with the person appointed to the role now. The CSO works with senior staff and the governing body to help lead policy development, training, reporting, and compliance with Church of England guidance. They report to the Canon for Mission and Pastoral Care and receive regular professional supervision from the National Safeguarding Team, with occasional networking with other CSOs.
Safeguarding is recognised as a shared leadership responsibility. The CSO meets weekly with senior clergy to review cases and will also work with the newly appointed non‑executive Safeguarding Lead on Chapter, the Cathedral’s governing body.
A core part of the role is promoting safeguarding awareness across the Cathedral community and understanding all activities involving children, young people, and vulnerable adults. The CSO provides professional advice on concerns raised, ensuring responses follow law and national policy, and works closely with diocesan and national safeguarding teams on complex cases. They also ensure appropriate support for survivors and proper management of those who pose risk.

The Cathedral is seeking candidates with strong knowledge and professional experience in relation to safeguarding issues and proven experience working collaboratively in teams.

Contract: Permanent, part time role working four days per week, with flexibility to split hours over four or five days
Salary: £40,000 full time equivalent (£32,000 per annum for four days per week)
Location: Hybrid role between home and London office, with ideally two days per week (Monday and Wednesday) in the office at Holborn

You'll work within a small, dedicated and talented team and will play a central role in shaping how Brain Research UK tells its story; leading the development of high-quality, impact led content that brings research and lived experience together to build support loyalty and increase public engagement and understanding.
The role has real scope for impact and innovation and will work closely with colleagues from across the charity, including the CEO, to build on strong foundations. Core responsibilities within the role will include:
- Lead all digital communications, including website, social media and online campaigns
- Manage and create content for the website, overseeing written, visual and video
- Develop and deliver a planned schedule of communications activity across all channels.
- Develop and maintain a compelling library of supporter stories (written, film and imagery), ensuring appropriate permissions and coverage across key research areas
- Work with colleagues to source, craft and share stories that demonstrate impact and inspire support
- Collaborate with colleagues to translate funded research into clear, engaging stories that show how science changes lives
- Work closely with the fundraising team to optimise digital communications
- Engage with and respond to the organisation's online community in a timely, supportive and professional manner
- Ensure consistent use of brand, tone and values in line with brand guidelines
- Track and analyse digital performance using tools such as Google Analytics and income reports, using insight to continuously improve effectiveness
- Report on how communications activity drives engagement, enquiries, donations and pledges
- Manage relationships with third-party agencies where required, including briefing, objectives and evaluation
- Coordinate corporate communications such as the annual review and impact report
We would love to see applications from candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience within a communications role within a charity or similar organisation
- Demonstrable experience of leading on storytelling, narrative development or content creation that has driven engagement or fundraising outcomes, with the ability to identify the emotional heart of a story and shape it appropriately for different audiences and channels
- Experience planning and delivering social media content using a structured schedule
- Experience developing e-communications to build loyalty and engagement
- Experience managing website content
- Understanding of online community management and supporter engagement
- Confidence using analytics tools to measure and report on digital performance
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with diverse audiences
- Emotional intelligence and sensitivity when engaging with people affected by medical conditions
- Understanding of how to use video and film across digital channels
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Familiarity with CMS platforms, social media channels (e.g. Instagram, Facebook) and e-marketing tools (e.g. Mailchimp, DotDigital)

About You

- At least 3 years of experience in the field of training and development
- Expertise in designing, developing, delivering, implementing and managing high-quality training and education packages and programmes
- Experience in delivering training to a range of audiences and adding to Savera UK’s own expertise
- Experience in leading, mentoring and supporting staff and volunteers
- Experience in training, project management, and budgeting

Working arrangements
Full-time, 35 hours per week. Working from home required, but with one day a week in the office near London Bridge. Must be based in or near London. We support flexible working arrangements and operate a nine day fortnight. Attendance at networking events and being on-call for media work outside of office hours occasionally required.
